Προς Εφεσιους 3
1 Τούτου χάριν ἐγὼ Παῦλος ὁ δέσμιος τοῦ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν—
For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
2 εἴ γε ἠκούσατε τὴν οἰκονομίαν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ θεοῦ τῆς δοθείσης μοι εἰς ὑμᾶς·
if, indeed, you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
3 ⸀κατὰἀποκάλυψιν ⸀ἐγνωρίσθημοι τὸ μυστήριον, καθὼς προέγραψα ἐν ὀλίγῳ,
that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words]—
4 πρὸς ὃ δύνασθε ἀναγινώσκοντες νοῆσαι τὴν σύνεσίν μου ἐν τῷ μυστηρίῳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ,
in regard to which you are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
5 ὃ ἑτέραις γενεαῖς οὐκ ἐγνωρίσθη τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων ὡς νῦν ἀπεκαλύφθη τοῖς ἁγίοις ἀποστόλοις αὐτοῦ καὶ προφήταις ἐν πνεύματι,
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit—
6 εἶναι τὰ ἔθνη συγκληρονόμα καὶ σύσσωμα καὶ συμμέτοχα τῆς ἐπαγγελίας ⸂ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,
that the nations are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
7 οὗ ⸀ἐγενήθηνδιάκονος κατὰ τὴν δωρεὰν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ θεοῦ ⸂τῆς δοθείσης μοι κατὰ τὴν ἐνέργειαν τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ—
of which I became a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
8 ἐμοὶ τῷ ἐλαχιστοτέρῳ πάντων ἁγίων ἐδόθη ἡ χάρις αὕτη— ⸀τοῖςἔθνεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαι ⸂τὸ ἀνεξιχνίαστον πλοῦτος τοῦ Χριστοῦ,
to me—the less than the least of all the holy ones—was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news—the untraceable riches of the Christ,
9 καὶ φωτίσαι ⸀πάνταςτίς ἡ οἰκονομία τοῦ μυστηρίου τοῦ ἀποκεκρυμμένου ἀπὸ τῶν αἰώνων ἐν τῷ θεῷ τῷ τὰ πάντα ⸀κτίσαντι (aiōn g165)
and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
10 ἵνα γνωρισθῇ νῦν ταῖς ἀρχαῖς καὶ ταῖς ἐξουσίαις ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις διὰ τῆς ἐκκλησίας ἡ πολυποίκιλος σοφία τοῦ θεοῦ,
that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the Assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 ἐν ᾧ ἔχομεν τὴν παρρησίαν ⸀καὶπροσαγωγὴν ἐν πεποιθήσει διὰ τῆς πίστεως αὐτοῦ.
in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him,
13 διὸ αἰτοῦμαι μὴ ⸀ἐγκακεῖνἐν ταῖς θλίψεσίν μου ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, ἥτις ἐστὶν δόξα ὑμῶν.
for this reason, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 Τούτου χάριν κάμπτω τὰ γόνατά μου πρὸς τὸν ⸀πατέρα
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 ἐξ οὗ πᾶσα πατριὰ ἐν οὐρανοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς ὀνομάζεται,
of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
16 ἵνα ⸀δῷὑμῖν κατὰ ⸂τὸ πλοῦτος τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ δυνάμει κραταιωθῆναι διὰ τοῦ πνεύματος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν ἔσω ἄνθρωπον,
that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened through His Spirit with might, in regard to the inner man,
17 κατοικῆσαι τὸν Χριστὸν διὰ τῆς πίστεως ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ· ἐρριζωμένοι καὶ τεθεμελιωμένοι,
that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
18 ἵνα ἐξισχύσητε καταλαβέσθαι σὺν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἁγίοις τί τὸ πλάτος καὶ μῆκος καὶ ⸂ὕψος καὶ βάθος,
that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the holy ones, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 γνῶναί τε τὴν ὑπερβάλλουσαν τῆς γνώσεως ἀγάπην τοῦ Χριστοῦ, ἵνα πληρωθῆτε εἰς πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα τοῦ θεοῦ.
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
20 Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ ὑπὲρ πάντα ποιῆσαι ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ ὧν αἰτούμεθα ἢ νοοῦμεν κατὰ τὴν δύναμιν τὴν ἐνεργουμένην ἐν ἡμῖν,
and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
