1 πασ γαρ αρχιερευσ εξ ανθρωπων λαμβανομενοσ υπερ ανθρωπων καθισταται τα προσ τον θεον ινα προσφερη δωρα τε και θυσιασ υπερ αμαρτιων
Every for high priest from among men being taken on behalf of men is appointed [in] the [things] relating to God that he may offer gifts both and sacrifices for sins,
2 μετριοπαθειν δυναμενοσ τοισ αγνοουσιν και πλανωμενοισ επει και αυτοσ περικειται ασθενειαν
to exercise forbearance being able with those being ignorant and with those going astray, since also he himself is encompassed by weakness;
3 και δια ταυτην οφειλει καθωσ περι του λαου ουτωσ και περι εαυτου προσφερειν υπερ αμαρτιων
and because of (this *N+kO) he is obligated, even as for the people so also for himself to offer sacrifices (for *N+kO) sins.
4 και ουχ εαυτω τισ λαμβανει την τιμην αλλα καλουμενοσ υπο του θεου καθαπερ και ααρων
And not upon himself anyone takes the honor but rather (the [one] *k) being called by God (just as *N+kO) also Aaron.
5 ουτωσ και ο χριστοσ ουχ εαυτον εδοξασεν γενηθηναι αρχιερεα αλλ ο λαλησασ προσ αυτον υιοσ μου ει συ εγω σημερον γεγεννηκα σε
So also Christ not Himself did glorify to become a high priest but the [One] having said to Him: Son of Mine are You yourself, I myself today have begotten You.
6 καθωσ και εν ετερω λεγει συ ιερευσ εισ τον αιωνα κατα την ταξιν μελχισεδεκ (aiōn g165)
even as also in another [place] He says: You [are] a priest to the age according to the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
7 οσ εν ταισ ημεραισ τησ σαρκοσ αυτου δεησεισ τε και ικετηριασ προσ τον δυναμενον σωζειν αυτον εκ θανατου μετα κραυγησ ισχυρασ και δακρυων προσενεγκασ και εισακουσθεισ απο τησ ευλαβειασ
[He] in the days of the flesh of Him prayers both and supplications to the [One] being able to save Him from death with crying loud and tears having offered up and having been heard because of reverence,
8 καιπερ ων υιοσ εμαθεν αφ ων επαθεν την υπακοην
though being a Son, He learned from [the] things He suffered obedience,
9 και τελειωθεισ εγενετο τοισ υπακουουσιν αυτω πασιν αιτιοσ σωτηριασ αιωνιου (aiōnios g166)
and having been perfected He became to all those obeying Him [the] author of salvation eternal, (aiōnios g166)
10 προσαγορευθεισ υπο του θεου αρχιερευσ κατα την ταξιν μελχισεδεκ
having been designated by God a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
11 περι ου πολυσ ημιν ο λογοσ και δυσερμηνευτοσ λεγειν επει νωθροι γεγονατε ταισ ακοαισ
Concerning this [there is] much from us speech and difficult in interpretation to speak, since sluggish you have become in the hearings.
12 και γαρ οφειλοντεσ ειναι διδασκαλοι δια τον χρονον παλιν χρειαν εχετε του διδασκειν υμασ τινα τα στοιχεια τησ αρχησ των λογιων του θεου και γεγονατε χρειαν εχοντεσ γαλακτοσ και ου στερεασ τροφησ
Even for you ought to be teachers by the time, again need of you have [one] to teach you (what [is] *N+kO) the principles of the beginning of the oracles of God and you have become need [those] having of milk and not of solid food.
13 πασ γαρ ο μετεχων γαλακτοσ απειροσ λογου δικαιοσυνησ νηπιοσ γαρ εστιν
Everyone for who is partaking [only] of milk [is] inexperienced in [the] word of righteousness; an infant for he is;
14 τελειων δε εστιν η στερεα τροφη των δια την εξιν τα αισθητηρια γεγυμνασμενα εχοντων προσ διακρισιν καλου τε και κακου
[for the] mature however is the solid food for those through constant use the senses trained who are having [ability] to distinguish good both and evil.
