Luka 3
1 Loma yaaba badiciamo Tibeli Sesa bali piiga n binmuuli binli, Ponisa Pilata den tie Jude diema gufeneeli, Elodo den die Galile diema, O waalo Filipi n ya die Itule leni Takonita diema, Lisaniasa mo n ya die Abilena diema.
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cæsar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judæa, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 Hana leni Kayifa den taani ki tie bi kopadicianba badiba. Laa binli Sakali bijua Jan den ye mi fanpienma nni, ke U Tienu den maadi leni o.
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 Lane o den caa ya dogi n baali Judana ki wangi bi niba ke ban biidi bi pala bi tuonbiadi po ki lebidi bi yama wan batisi ba ban baa bi tuonbiadi sugili.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 Nani lan diani maama o sawalipualo Esayi tili nni: O nilo Kpaani mi fanpienma nni ki tua: Yin bogini mani o Diedo sanu, ki naadi mani o sani.
As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 Bi baa gbieni ti joaloandi kuli, ki jiini joacianli leni joabiga kuli ki dagini, ki naadi a sangoana, ki piini ti sanbuodi.
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways [shall be] made smooth;
6 Nisaalo kuli baa la U Tienu faabima.
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 A nigola den kpendi Jan kani ke wan batisiba. O den maadi ba ki tua: “Yinba u waalabibuolu na, ŋme fandi yi yin sani ki ciadi U Tienu pabienli yaali n baa cua na?
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Yin ya tuuni mani ya tuona n doagidi ke yi lebidi yi yama. Yin da tua yi pala nni: 'Ti pia Abalahama ke o tie ti yaaja.' N waani yi ke U Tienu baa fidi ki teni ya tama n tie na n tua Abalahama puoliŋuani.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 Baa moala bi caani li yali i tijiini po. Ya tibu n ki luoni ya bonluonkaala n ŋani kuli, bi baa pedibu ki lu mi fantama nni.”
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 A nigola den buali o ki tua: “Ti nan baa tieni lede?”
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 O den goa yedi ba: “Yua n pia liada lie, wan boagidi leni yua n ki pia, yua n pia mi jiema moko n tieni yeni.”
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Bi lubigaaba moko den cua ke wan batisi ba, ki yedi o: “Canbaa, ti baa tieni lede?”
Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 O den goa yedi ba: “Yin da ga li lubili ki cie ban bili maama.”
And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 A minteela moko den buali o: “Ti mo baa tieni lede?” O den yedi ba: “Da tieni mani bi niba u paalu, ki da gaani suuli ki kuli oba. Yin mangi mani yi pala leni yi ŋmapani.”
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse [any] falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 Bi niba den gu ki sugini U Tienu n gandi yua cuama. Bi kuli den buali bi yula Jan ya tie U Tienu n gandi yua.
And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 O den yedi bi kuli: “Mini n batisi yi leni mi ñima, ama yua n pia u paalu ki cie nni baa cua, mii pundi baa yua n baa loti o cacaabaabu. Wani, o baa batisi yi leni U Tienu Fuoma Yua, leni mi fantama.
John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 O kubi o kaaligu o nuu nni, o baa ŋanbi o jalu cain, ki lendi ki tigi ki wodi ki kuodi o buali nni ki nan sia mi fenma nni ya fantama n kaa pia gbindima.”
Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 Jan wangi bi niba o laabaaliŋamo ki go tundi ba tunditoe boncianla.
And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 Ama wan den funi leni Elodo yua n die Galile kelima o waalo pua Elodiasa po leni wan tieni ya tuonbiadi kuli po,
But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Elodo go den pugini laa tuonbiadi kuli po tuonbiatoadi, ki luoni Jan li kadidieli nni.
Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Bi niba kuli den kpendi ke Jan batisi ba, o den batisi Jesu moko. Jesu n den jaandi ya yogunu, tanpoli den luodi
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 ke U Tienu Fuoma Yua ñani lipo ke o nannanli naani leni ki kpaajiega ki jiidi ki jagini Jesu po. Bi den gbadi u nialu ke u maadi ŋali tanpoli po ki yedi: “A tie n Bijabuadiga n pali mani apo ŋali boncianla.”
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was [the son] of Heli,
