Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 Yan nam77u wogolota haatha gaxan de7eyssata be7is. Molo oykkiya asati wogolotappe wodhdhidi bantta gitiya meeccosona.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 Ba tamaarssuwa onggidaappe guye Simoonakko, “Gede ciimmuwako shiishada moluwa oykkanaw hintte gitiya yeggite” yaagis.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simooni zaaridi, “Asttamaariyaw, qamma kumethaa daaburishe aqidi aykkoka oykkibookko, shin ne giikko gitiya yeggana” yaagis.
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 Entti gitiya yeggida wode gitey daakettana gakkanaw daro molo oykkidosona.
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 Hara wogoluwan de7iya bantta laggeti yidi, banttana maaddana mela wuttidi xeegidosona. Entti yidi nam77u wogolota, haathan mitettana gakkanaw molon kunthidosona.
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Simoona Phexiroosi hessa be7ida wode Yesuusa sinthan kunddidi, “Godaw, taani nagaranchcho asi gidiya gisho, taappe shaaketta” yaagis.
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 Hessa I giday inne iyara de7eyssati oykkida moluwa darotethan malaalettida gishossa.
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;

and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 Entti wogolota gaxa shiishidaappe guye ubbaa aggidi Yesuusa kaallidosona.
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.

While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 Yesuusi ba kushiya yeddi bochchidi, “Ee, ta shene; geeya” yaagis. Iira baro harggey uraappe kichchis.
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 Yesuusi, “Hayssa oodeskka odoppa, shin bada nenatethaa Ayhude kahiniya bessa. Ne geeyidayssas markka gidana mela Musey kiittida yarshshuwa yarshsha” gidi kiittis.
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 Gidoshin, iya sunthay kaseppe aadhdhi dalggishe bis. Daro asay I odiyabaa si7anawunne bantta harggiyafe paxanaw yoosona.
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 Shin Yesuusi daro wode geema bessi bidi woossees.
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 Issi gallas Yesuusi tamaarssishin Galiilappenne Yihuda heera ubbaafe qassi Yerusalaameppekka yida Farisaawetinne higge asttamaareti yan uttidosona. Asaa pathiya Godaa wolqqayka iyara de7ees.
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 He wode asay issi gundda asi halara tookkidi ehidosona. Soo gelssidi iya sinthan wothanaw qoppidosona.
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 Shin asaa darotethaafe denddoyssan soo gelssanaw xoonettidi keethaa bolla keyidi, kaara qawuxidi, hargganchchuwa halara asaa shaakkidi Yesuusa sinthan yeggidosona.
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 Yesuusi entta ammanuwa be7idi, “La addiyaw, ne nagaray qushettis” yaagis.
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 Higge asttamaaretinne Farisaaweti, “Hayssi Xoossaa bolla yaagidi odettey oonee? Issi Xoossaafe attin haray nagara quchchanaw dandda7ey oonee?” yaagidi qoppidosona.
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 Yesuusi entta qofaa erida gisho enttako, “Hintte wozanan hessatho ays qoppeetii?
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 ‘Ne nagaray qushettis geyssafenne denddada ba geyssafe awussi kawuyii?’
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 Shin ta hessa giday Asa Na7ay sa7a bolla nagara quchchanaw maati de7eyssa hintte erana melassa.” Hessafe kaallidi, gundda uraakko, “Dendda; ne alggaa tookkada ne soo ba” yaagis.
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 I ellesi denddidi entta sinthan eqqis I tookettidi yida alggaa tookkidi Xoossaa galatishe ba soo bis.
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 He wode ubbayka malaalettidosona. Xoossaa galatishe, “Hachchi gita malaata be7ida” yaagidi yashettidosona.
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 Hessafe guye, Yesuusi yaappe keyidi bis. Leewe geetettiya issi qaraxa qanxiseyssi qaraxa qanxisiya bessan uttidayssa be7idi, “Tana kaalla” yaagis.
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 I ubbabaa aggi denddidi iya kaallis.
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 He Leewey ba son gita gibira giigisis. Daro qaraxa qanxiseyssatinne hara asati kathaa maanaw uttidosona.
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 Farisaawetinne higge asttamaareti, “Qaraxa qanxeyssataranne nagaranchchotara ays meetinne uyeetii?” yaagidi Yesuusa tamaareta bolla zuuzummidosona.
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Yesuusi enttako, “Hargganchchotassafe attin paxatas aakime koshshenna.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 Taani nagaranchchota maarotaakko zaaranaassafe attin geeshshata xeeganaw yabiikke” yaagidi zaaris.
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 Entti Yesuusakko, “Yohaannisa tamaareti daro wode xoomosona, woossosona; qassi Farisaaweta tamaaretikka hessatho oothoosona. Shin neyssati ubba wode moosonanne uyoosona” yaagidosona.
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 Yesuusi enttako, “Mushuray enttara de7ishin xeegettida asay xoomana mela oothanaw dandda7etii?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 Shin mushuray enttafe shaakettana gallasay yaana, he wode entti xoomana.”
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 Qassi yaagidi leemiso odis; “Ooratha ma7oppe peedhidi gal77a ma7o bolla sikkey oonikka baawa. Hessatho oothiko ooratha ma7uwa peedhees, oorathay gal77aas giigenna.
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 Mal7antto woyniya gal77a ogoron qoliya oonikka baawa. Hessa oothiko, ooratha woyney gal77a ogoruwa dhusees; woyney gukkees ogoroykka maaddonabaa gidees.
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 Hessa gisho, ooratha woyney ooratha ogoron qolettanaw bessees.
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 Hiza, caalay lo77o giya gisho, caala woyne uyi simmidi mal7antto koyey oonikka baawa” yaagis.
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
