Psalm 46

1 Dem Sangmeister für die Söhne Korachs ein Lied auf Alamoth. Gott ist unsere Zuversicht und Stärke; ein Beistand erfunden in Drangsalen, mächtig.

To him that excelleth upon Alamoth a song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God is our hope and strength, and helpe in troubles, ready to be found.

2 Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenn die Erde sich umwandelt, und die Berge wanken im Herzen der Meere.

Therefore will not we feare, though the earth be moued, and though the mountaines fall into the middes of the sea.

3 Deren Wasser toben, sie brausen auf; die Berge erbeben in deren Übermut.

Though the waters thereof rage and be troubled, and the mountaines shake at the surges of the same. (Selah)

4 Es ist ein Fluß, dessen Bäche fröhlich machen die Stadt Gottes, das Heilige der Wohnungen des Allerhöchsten.

Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.

5 Gott ist in ihrer Mitte; sie wankt nicht, Gott steht ihr bei, wenn es sich zum Morgen wendet.

God is in the middes of it: therefore shall it not be moued: God shall helpe it very earely.

6 Es toben Völkerschaften, Königreiche wanken. Er gibt Seine Stimme hervor, es zerfließt die Erde.

When the nations raged, and the kingdomes were moued, God thundred, and the earth melted.

7 Jehovah der Heerscharen ist mit uns; eine Burg ist uns der Gott Jakobs! (Selah)

The Lord of hostes is with vs: the God of Iaakob is our refuge. (Selah)

8 Kommt, erschauet die Taten Jehovahs, Der Verwüstung setzet auf Erden.

Come, and behold the workes of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 Der die Kriege feiern läßt bis zum Ende der Erde, Der den Bogen zerbricht und die Spieße abschlägt, Der die Wagen verbrennt im Feuer.

He maketh warres to cease vnto the endes of the world: he breaketh the bowe and cutteth the speare, and burneth the chariots with fire.

10 Laßt ab und erkennt, daß Ich Gott bin; Ich will erhöht sein unter den Völkerschaften, Ich will erhöht sein auf Erden.

Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.

11 Jehovah der Heerscharen ist mit uns, eine Burg ist uns der Gott Jakobs. (Selah)
