Maleachi 4
1 Denn siehe, es kommt der Tag, der wie der Ofen brennt; und alle Vermessenen und die, so Ungerechtigkeit taten, sind Stoppel, und der Tag, der kommt, entflammt sie, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, und weder Wurzel, noch Ast wird er denselben hinterlassen.
For behold, the day commeth that shall burne as an ouen, and all the proude, yea, and all that doe wickedly, shall be stubble, and the day that commeth, shall burne them vp, sayeth the Lord of hostes, and shall leaue them neither roote nor branche.
2 Euch aber, die ihr Meinen Namen fürchtet, wird aufgehen die Sonne der Gerechtigkeit, und Heilung unter ihren Flügeln, und ihr geht aus und wachset heran wie die Mastkälber.
But vnto you that feare my Name, shall the sunne of righteousnesse arise, and health shall be vnder his wings, and ye shall goe forth, and growe vp as fat calues.
3 Und die Gottlosen werdet ihr daniedertreten; denn Asche sollen sie unter den Sohlen eurer Füße sein an dem Tage, den Ich mache, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen.
And ye shall treade downe the wicked: for they shall be dust vnder the soles of your feete in the day that I shall doe this, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
4 Gedenkt an das Gesetz des Moses, Meines Knechtes, das Ich ihm gebot auf Choreb an ganz Israel, an die Satzungen und Rechte.
Remember the lawe of Moses my seruant, which I commanded vnto him in Horeb for all Israel with the statutes and iudgements.
5 Siehe, Ich sende euch Elijah, den Propheten, bevor da kommt der Tag Jehovahs, der große und furchtbare.
Beholde, I will sende you Eliiah the Prophet before the comming of the great and fearefull day of the Lord.
6 Und er wird das Herz der Väter zu den Söhnen zurückwenden, und das Herz der Söhne zu ihren Vätern, auf daß Ich nicht komme und schlage mit dem Banne das Land.
And he shall turne the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with cursing.
