Johannes 15
1 Ich bin der wahrhaftige Weinstock und Mein Vater ist der Weingärtner.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Eine jegliche Rebe an Mir, die nicht Frucht trägt, nimmt Er weg, und eine jegliche, die da Frucht trägt, reinigt Er, daß sie mehr Frucht trage.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Ihr seid schon rein durch das Wort, das Ich zu euch geredet habe.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Bleibt in Mir, und Ich in euch. Gleichwie die Rebe keine Frucht tragen kann von ihr selber, sie bleibe denn am Weinstock, so auch ihr nicht, ihr bleibt denn in Mir.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr die Reben. Wer in Mir bleibt und Ich in ihm, der trägt viele Frucht; denn ohne Mich könnt ihr nichts tun.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 Wer nicht in Mir bleibt, der wird hinausgeworfen wie die Rebe und verdorrt, und sie sammeln sie und werfen sie ins Feuer, und sie brennen.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Wenn ihr in Mir bleibt und Meine Reden in euch bleiben, so sollt ihr bitten, was ihr wollt, und es wird euch geschehen.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Darin wird Mein Vater verherrlicht, daß ihr viele Frucht traget und Meine Jünger werdet.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 Wie Mich Mein Vater geliebt hat, so habe Ich euch auch geliebt. Bleibet in Meiner Liebe!
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 Wenn ihr Meine Gebote haltet, so werdet ihr in Meiner Liebe bleiben, wie Ich die Gebote Meines Vaters gehalten habe und in Seiner Liebe bleibe.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 Solches habe Ich zu euch geredet, auf daß Meine Freude in euch bleibe und eure Freude erfüllt werde.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 Das ist Mein Gebot, daß ihr einander liebt, wie Ich euch geliebt habe.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Größere Liebe hat niemand denn die, daß er sein Leben für seine Freunde läßt.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ihr seid Meine Freunde, wenn ihr tut, was Ich euch gebiete.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Ich nenne euch hinfort nicht Knechte; denn der Knecht weiß nicht, was sein Herr tut, sondern habe euch Freunde genannt, weil Ich alles, was Ich von Meinem Vater gehört, euch kundgetan habe.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ihr habt Mich nicht erwählt, sondern Ich habe euch erwählt, und euch eingesetzt, daß ihr hingehet und Frucht traget, und eure Frucht bleibe, auf daß, was immer ihr vom Vater in Meinem Namen bittet, Er es euch gebe.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 Das gebiete Ich euch, daß ihr einander liebet.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 So euch die Welt haßt, so erkennet, daß sie Mich vor euch gehaßt hat.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 Wäret ihr aus der Welt, so hätte die Welt das Eigene lieb. Nun ihr aber nicht aus der Welt seid, sondern Ich euch auserwählt habe, aus der Welt, darum haßt euch die Welt.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Gedenket an das Wort, das Ich zu euch sprach: Der Knecht ist nicht größer, denn sein Herr. Verfolgten sie Mich, so werden sie auch euch verfolgen. Hielten sie Mein Wort, so werden sie auch eures halten.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 Aber solches alles werden sie euch tun um Meines Namens willen, weil sie Den nicht kennen, Der Mich gesandt hat.
But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 Wäre Ich nicht gekommen und hätte zu ihnen geredet, so hätten sie keine Sünde; nun aber haben sie keinen Vorwand für ihre Sünde.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 Wer Mich haßt, der haßt auch Meinen Vater.
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 Hätte Ich die Werke nicht getan unter ihnen, die kein anderer tat, so hätten sie keine Sünde. Nun aber haben sie sie gesehen und hassen beide, Mich und Meinen Vater.
If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 Jedoch es sollte das Wort erfüllt werden, das in ihrem Gesetz geschrieben ist: Umsonst haßten sie Mich.
But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 Wenn aber der Beistand kommen wird, den Ich euch vom Vater senden werde - der Geist der Wahrheit, der vom Vater ausgehtder wird zeugen von Mir.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 Und auch ihr werdet zeugen, weil ihr vom Anfang an bei Mir seid.
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
