Jeremia 49
1 Wider die Söhne Ammons: So spricht Jehovah: Hat Israel keine Söhne? Hat es keinen Erbbesitzer? Warum beerbet ihr König Gad und wohnt sein Volk in dessen Städten?
Unto the children of Ammon thus saith the Lord, Hath Israel no sonnes? or hath he none heire? Why then hath their king possessed God? and his people dwelt in his cities?
2 Darum seht, kommen Tage, spricht Jehovah, da Ich hören lasse über Rabbah der Söhne Ammon Feldgeschrei des Streites, und da es zum wüsten Schutthaufen wird, und seine Töchter mit Feuer angezündet werden, und Israel beerben wird die, so ihn beerbt hatten, spricht Jehovah.
Therefore beholde the dayes come, sayeth the Lord, that I will cause a noyse of warre to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites, and it shall be a desolate heape, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire: then shall Israel possesse those that possessed him, sayeth the Lord.
3 Heule, Cheschbon; denn verheert ist Ai. Schreit, ihr Töchter Rabbahs, gürtet euch mit Säcken, klaget und rennet zwischen den Mauern umher, denn ihr König geht hin, weggeführt, seine Priester und seine Obersten allzumal.
Howle, O Heshbon, for Ai is wasted: crie ye daughters of Rabbah: girde you with sackecloth: mourne and runne to and from by the hedges: for their King shall goe into captiuitie; and his Priestes, and his princes likewise.
4 Was rühmst du dich der Talgründe? dein Talgrund, der fließt dahin, abwendige Tochter, die vertraut auf ihre Schätze: Wer kommt an mich?
Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleis? thy valley floweth away, O rebellious daughter: she trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come vnto me?
5 Siehe, Ich bringe Schauder über dich, spricht der Herr, Jehovah der Heerscharen, von allen rings um dich her; und ihr werdet verstoßen, jeder Mann vor sich hin, und niemand bringt die Flüchtigen zusammen.
Beholde, I will bring a feare vpon thee, sayth the Lord God of hostes, of all those that be about thee, and ye shalbe scattered euery man right foorth, and none shall gather him that fleeth.
6 Doch hernach wende Ich zurück die Gefangenschaft der Söhne Ammons, spricht Jehovah.
And afterward I will bring againe the captiuitie of the children of Ammon.
7 Wider Edom spricht also Jehovah der Heerscharen: Ist keine Weisheit mehr in Theman? Ist der Rat der Einsichtsvollen verlorengegangen? Ist ihre Weisheit stinkend geworden?
To Edom thus sayeth the Lord of hostes: Is wisdome no more in Teman? is counsel perished from their children? is their wisdome vanished?
8 Fliehet! Sie sind abgewandt, sie machten tief ihren Wohnsitz, die Bewohner Dedans; denn Esaus Not bringe Ich über ihn, die Zeit, da Ich ihn heimsuche.
Flee, ye inhabitants of Dedan (they are turned backe, and haue consulted to dwell) for I haue brought the destruction of Esau vpon him, and the time of his visitation.
9 Wenn über dich Weinleser kommen, würden sie dir nicht Nachlese überlassen? wenn Diebe in der Nacht, verderben sie nach ihrer Genüge?
If the grape gatherers come to thee, would they not leaue some grapes? if theeues come by night, they will destroy till they haue ynough.
10 Denn Ich entblöße Esau, decke auf sein Verborgenes. Nicht kann er sich verstecken. Verheert ist sein Same und seine Brüder und seine Nachbarn, und er ist nicht mehr.
For I haue discouered Esau: I haue vncouered his secrets, and he shall not be able to hide himselfe: his seede is wasted, and his brethren and his neighbours, and there shall be none to say,
11 Verlaß deine Waisen! Ich erhalte sie am Leben. Und deine Witwen sollen Mir vertrauen.
Leaue thy fathers children, and I will preserue them aliue, and let thy widowes trust in me.
12 Denn so spricht Jehovah: Siehe, deren Gericht nicht war den Becher zu trinken, die tranken. Und du sollst ungestraft bleiben? Du sollst nicht ungestraft bleiben, du sollst trinken.
For thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, they whose iudgement was not to drinke of the cuppe, haue assuredly drunken, and art thou he that shall escape free? thou shalt not goe free, but thou shalt surely drinke of it.
13 Denn Ich habe bei Mir geschworen, spricht Jehovah, daß zur Verwüstung, zur Schmach, zur Öde und zum Fluch Bozrah soll werden, und alle seine Städte zu ewigen Öden.
For I haue sworne by my selfe, sayeth the Lord, that Bozrah shall be waste, and for a reproche, and a desolation, and a curse, and all the cities thereof shall be perpetuall desolations.
14 Ein Gerücht habe Ich gehört von Jehovah und eine Gesandtschaft wird an die Völkerschaften gesandt: Ziehet euch zusammen und kommt wider es und stehet auf zum Streit.
I haue heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassadour is sent vnto the heathen, saying, Gather you together, and come against her, and rise vp to the battell.
15 Denn siehe, klein habe Ich dich hingegeben unter den Völkerschaften, verachtet unter den Menschen.
For loe, I will make thee but small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16 Dein Trotz hat dich verführt und deines Herzens Vermessenheit, der du in Klüften der Felsenklippe wohnst und die Höhe der Hügel eingenommen hast. Ob du hoch wie der Adler machst dein Nest, Ich bringe dich von da herab, spricht Jehovah.
Thy feare, and ye pride of thine heart hath deceiued thee, thou that dwellest in the cleftes of the rocke, and keepest the height of ye hil: though thou shouldest make thy nest as hie as the eagle, I wil bring thee downe from thece, sayth the Lord.
17 Und Edom wird zur Verwüstung sein, jeder, der an ihm vorübergeht, erstaunt sich und zischt ob allen seinen Schlägen.
Also Edom shall be desolate: euery one that goeth by it, shall be astonished, and shall hisse at all the plagues thereof,
18 Gleichwie in der Umkehrung Sodoms und Gomorrahs und ihrer Nachbarn, spricht Jehovah, soll allda kein Mann wohnen, nicht sich in ihm aufhalten ein Sohn des Menschen.
As in the ouerthrowe of Sodom, and of Gomorah, and the places thereof neere about, saieth the Lord: no man shall dwell there, neither shall the sonnes of men remaine in it.
19 Siehe, wie der Löwe von dem Anschwellen des Jordans aufsteigt nach dem Wohnorte Ethans. Aber im Augenblick lasse Ich ihn von dannen laufen. Und wer ist der Auserwählte, den Ich über sie bestellt? Denn wer ist wie Ich? Und wer ruft Mich zum Zeugen vor, und wer ist der Hirte, der vor Meinem Angesicht steht?
Beholde, hee shall come vp like a lyon from the swelling of Iorden vnto the strong dwelling place: for I will make Israel to rest, euen I will make him to haste away from her, and who is a chosen man that I may appoynt against her? for who is like mee? and who will appoint me the time? and who is the shepheard that will stande before me?
20 Darum hört den Ratschluß Jehovahs, den Er über Edom beschlossen hat, und Seine Gedanken, die Er wider Themans Bewohner denkt: Schleppen sie nicht davon die Geringen der Herde; verwüsten sie nicht ihren Wohnort?
Therefore heare the counsell of the Lord that hee hath deuised against Edom, and his purpose that hee hath conceiued against the inhabitants of Teman: surely the least of the flocke shall drawe them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
21 Die Erde bebt von dem Getöse ihres Falls, am Schilfmeere hört man die Stimme seines Geschreis.
The earth is mooued at the noyse of their fall: the crie of their voice is heard in the red Sea.
22 Siehe, wie der Adler steigt er auf und schwebt und breitet seine Flügel über Bozrah, und das Herz der Helden Edoms wird an dem Tage wie das Herz des Weibes im Kreißen.
Behold, he shall come vp, and flie as the Egle, and spreade his wings ouer Bozrah, and at that day shall the heart of the strong men of Edome be as the heart of a woman in trauaile.
23 Wider Damask. Beschämt ist Chamath und Arpad; denn ein böses Gerücht hören sie, sie zerfließen. Am Meer ist Besorgnis, sie vermögen nicht zu rasten.
Vnto Damascus he sayeth, Hamath is confounded and Arpad, for they haue heard euill tidings, and they are faint hearted as one on the fearefull sea that can not rest.
24 Damask erschlafft, hat sich zur Flucht gewandt, und grauen hat sie gefaßt, Drangsal und Geburtsnöten sie ergriffen, wie die Gebärerin.
Damascus is discouraged, and turneth her selfe to flight and feare hath seased her: anguish and sorowes haue taken her as a woman in trauaile.
25 Wie ist sie nicht verlassen, die Stadt des Lobes, Meiner Freude Stadt.
How is the glorious citie not reserued, the citie of my ioy?
26 Darum fallen sie auf ihren Straßen ihre Jünglinge, und alle Männer des Streites gehen unter an jenem Tage, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen.
Therefore her yong men shall fall in her streetes, and all her men of warre shall be cut off in that day, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
27 Und in der Mauer von Damask zünde Ich Feuer an, daß es Benhadads Paläste auffresse.
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, which shall cosume the palaces of Benhadad.
28 Wider Kedar und wider die Königreiche Chazors, die Nebuchadrezzar, Babels König, schlug. So spricht Jehovah: Steht auf und ziehet wider Kedar hinauf und verheeret die Söhne des Ostens.
Vnto Kedar, and to the kingdomes of Hazor, which Nebuchad-nezzar, king of Babel shall smite, thus sayeth the Lord, Arise, and goe vp vnto Kedar, and destroy the men of the East.
29 Und ihre Zelte und ihr Kleinvieh nehmen sie, ihre Teppiche und all ihre Geräte und ihre Kamele nehmen sie für sich fort, und rufen über sie: Bangen ringsum.
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: yea, they shall take to themselues their curtaines and all their vessels, and their camels, and they shall crie vnto them, Feare is on euery side.
30 Fliehet, schweifet sehr umher! Gehet in die Tiefe zu wohnen Chazors Bewohner, spricht Jehovah; denn Nebuchadrezzar, der König Babels, hat einen Ratschluß wider euch beschlossen; und er denkt einen Gedanken wider sie.
Flee, get you farre off (they haue consulted to dwell) O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the Lord: for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel hath taken counsell against you, and hath deuised a purpose against you.
31 Steht auf, zieht hinauf zu einer zufriedenen Völkerschaft, die da wohnt in Sicherheit, spricht Jehovah, keine Türflügel und keine Riegel hat sie, einsam wohnen sie.
Arise, and get you vp vnto the welthy nation that dwelleth without care, saith the Lord, which haue neither gates nor barres, but dwel alone.
32 Und ihre Kamele sollen zum Raube werden, und ihrer Viehherden Menge zur Beute, und Ich zersprenge in alle Winde die im Winkel Abgeschnittenen, und lasse ihre Not von allen Seiten kommen, spricht Jehovah.
And their camels shall be a bootie, and the multitude of their cattel a spoile, and I will scatter them into all windes, and to the vtmost corners, and I will bring their destruction from al the sides thereof, sayeth the Lord.
33 Und Chazor soll werden zur Behausung der Drachen, zur Verwüstung ewiglich. Nicht wird ein Mann darin wohnen, und nicht in ihr sich aufhalten ein Menschensohn.
And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and desolation for euer: there shall no man dwell there, nor the sonnes of men remaine in it.
34 Das Wort Jehovahs, das geschah an Jirmejahu, den Propheten, wider Elam im Anfang der Regierung Zidkijahus, des Königs von Jehudah, sprechend:
The woordes of the Lord that came to Ieremiah the Prophet, concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reigne of Zedekiah King of Iudah, saying,
35 So spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen: Siehe, Ich breche Elams Bogen, den Erstling seiner Macht.
Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will breake the bowe of Elam, euen the chiefe of their strength.
36 Und Ich lasse kommen über Elam vier Winde von den vier Enden der Himmel, und zersprenge sie nach allen diesen Winden, und keine Völkerschaft soll sein, wohin nicht kämen Verstoßene von Elam.
And vpon Elam I will bring the foure windes from the foure quarters of heauen, and will scatter them towardes all these windes, and there shall bee no nation, whither the fugitiues of Elam shall not come.
37 Und Ich lasse Elam sich entsetzen vor seinen Feinden und vor denen, die nach seiner Seele trachten, und werde Böses über sie bringen, Meines Zornes Entbrennen, spricht Jehovah, und hinter ihnen her das Schwert senden, bis daß Ich sie alle gemacht habe.
For I will cause Elam to be afraied before their enemies, and before them that seeke their liues, and will bring vpon them a plague, euen the indignation of my wrath, saieth the Lord, and I wil sende the sworde after them till I haue consumed them.
38 Und Meinen Thron will Ich in Elam setzen und von da König und Oberste zerstören, spricht Jehovah.
And I wil set my throne in Elam, and I wil destroy both the King and the princes from thence, saith the Lord:
39 Und in den letzten der Tage wird geschehen, daß Ich zurückwende Elams Gefangenschaft, spricht Jehovah.
but in the latter daies I wil bring againe the captiuitie of Elam, sayeth the Lord.
