Hesekiel 14
1 Und es kamen Männer von den Ältesten Israels zu mir und saßen vor meinem Angesicht.
Then came certaine of the Elders of Israel vnto me, and sate before me.
2 Und es geschah an mich das Wort Jehovahs, sprechend:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
3 Menschensohn, diese Männer ließen ihre Götzen in ihr Herz aufsteigen und gaben den Anstoß ihrer Missetat vor ihr Angesicht. Soll Ich von ihnen Mich befragen lassen?
Sonne of man, these men haue set vp their idoles in their heart, and put the stumbling blocke of their iniquitie before their face: should I, being required, answere them?
4 Darum rede mit ihnen und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Jeder Mann aus dem Hause Israels, der seine Götzen ließ in sein Herz aufsteigen, und seiner Missetat Anstoß sich vor sein Angesicht setzte, und zum Propheten kommt, sollte Ich, Jehovah, ihm antworten, der mit seiner Götzen Menge kommt?
Therefore speake vnto them, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Euery man of the house of Israel that setteth vp his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling blocke of his iniquitie before his face, and commeth to the Prophet, I the Lord will answere him that commeth, according to the multitude of his idoles:
5 Auf daß Ich das ganze Haus Israel an ihrem Herzen erfasse, weil sie sich allesamt durch ihre Götzen von Mir entfremdet haben?
That I may take the house of Israel in their owne heart, because they are all departed from me through their idoles.
6 Darum sprich zu dem Hause Israels: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Kehret zurück und wendet euch zurück von euren Götzen, und von allen euren Greueln wendet zurück euer Angesicht.
Therfore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus sayth the Lord God, Returne, and withdraw your selues, and turne your faces from your idoles, and turne your faces from all your abominations.
7 Denn jeder Mann vom Hause Israel und von den Fremdlingen, die in Israel sich aufhalten, der sich rückwärts von Mir entfremdet und seine Götzen in sein Herz aufsteigen läßt, und den Anstoß seiner Missetat setzt vor sein Angesicht und kommt zu dem Propheten, Mich für sich zu befragen, so will Ich, Jehovah, ihm von Mir aus antworten.
For euery one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that soiourneth in Israel, which departeth from mee, and setteth vp his idoles in his heart, and putteth the stumbling blocke of his iniquitie before his face, and commeth to a Prophet, for to inquire of him for me, I the Lord will answere him for my selfe,
8 Ich will Mein Angesicht hingeben wider solchen Mann und ihn verwüsten, zu einem Zeichen und Sprichwort und ihn ausrotten aus der Mitte Meines Volkes, auf daß ihr wisset, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an example and prouerbe, and I will cut him off from the middes of my people, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
9 Und wenn ein Prophet sich bereden läßt, daß er ein Wort redet, selbigen Propheten lasse auch Ich, Jehovah, bereden und recke Meine Hand aus wider ihn, daß Ich ihn aus der Mitte Meines Volkes Israel vernichte.
And if the Prophet be deceiued, when hee hath spoken a thing, I the Lord haue deceiued that Prophet, and I will stretch out mine hande vpon him, and will destroy him from the middes of my people of Israel.
10 Und ihre Missetat sollen sie tragen. Die Missetat dessen, der da befragt, soll sein wie des Propheten Missetat.
And they shall beare their punishment: the punishment of the Prophet shall bee euen as the punishment of him that asketh,
11 Auf daß das Haus Israel nicht mehr von Mir abirre und sich nicht mehr verunreinige mit allen ihren Übertretungen, und daß sie Mir zum Volke werden und Ich ihr Gott sei, spricht der Herr Jehovah.
That the house of Israel may go no more astray from mee, neither bee polluted any more with all their transgressions, but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, sayth the Lord God.
12 Und es geschah an mich Jehovahs Wort, sprechend:
The worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,
13 Menschensohn, so ein Land sündigt wider Mich, daß es untreu Mir untreu wird, da recke Ich Meine Hand aus wider dasselbe und zerbreche ihm den Stab des Brotes und sende dahin den Hunger und rotte aus davon Mensch und Vieh.
Sonne of man, when ye land sinneth against me by committing a trespasse, then will I stretch out mine hand vpon it, and will breake the staffe of the bread thereof, and will send famine vpon it, and I will destroy man and beast forth of it.
14 Und wenn in ihrer Mitte diese drei Männer wären: Noach, Daniel und Hiob, würden sie durch ihre Gerechtigkeit ihre Seelen erretten, spricht der Herr Jehovah.
Though these three men Noah, Daniel, and Iob were among them, they shoulde deliuer but their owne soules by their righteousnes, saith the Lord God.
15 Wenn Ich böses wildes Tier lasse durch das Land hingehen, daß es dasselbe kinderlos macht, und es verwüstet, daß vor dem wilden Tier nichts da hindurchgeht;
If I bring noysome beastes into the lande and they spoyle it, so that it bee desolate, that no man may passe through, because of beastes,
16 Wenn diese drei Männer wären in ihrer Mitte, bei Meinem Leben, spricht der Herr Jehovah, sie würden ihre Söhne und Töchter nicht erretten, nur sie allein würden errettet, aber das Land wäre verwüstet.
Though these three men were in the mids thereof, As I liue, sayth the Lord God, they shall saue neither sonnes nor daughters: they onely shalbe deliuered, but the land shall be waste.
17 Oder bringe Ich das Schwert herein über jenes Land und spreche: Das Schwert ziehe durch das Land, und Ich rotte daraus Mensch und Vieh aus.
Or if I bring a sworde vpon this land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I destroy man and beast out of it,
18 Und diese drei Männer wären in seiner Mitte, bei Meinem Leben, spricht der Herr Jehovah, sie würden Söhne und Töchter nicht erretten; denn sie allein würden errettet.
Though these three men were in the mids thereof, As I liue, sayth the Lord God, they shall deliuer neither sonnes nor daughters, but they onely shall be deliuered themselues.
19 Oder sendete Ich die Pest über dieses Land und gösse Meinen Grimm aus wider es mit Blut, um aus ihm Mensch und Vieh auszurotten;
Or if I send a pestilence into this land, and powre out my wrath vpon it in blood, to destroy out of it man and beast,
20 Und Noach, Daniel und Hiob wären in ihrer Mitte, bei Meinem Leben, spricht der Herr Jehovah, sie würden weder Sohn noch Tochter erretten, sie würden durch die Gerechtigkeit ihrer Seele errettet.
And though Noah, Daniel and Iob were in the middes of it, As I liue, sayth the Lord God, they shall deliuer neither sonne nor daughter: they shall but deliuer their owne soules by their righteousnes.
21 Doch also spricht der Herr Jehovah: Wenn Ich auch sende Meine bösen vier Gerichte: Schwert und Hunger und das böse wilde Tier und Pest über Jerusalem, daß Ich daraus Mensch und Vieh ausrotte;
For thus saith the Lord God, Howe much more when I sende my foure sore iudgements vpon Ierusalem, euen the sworde, and famine, and the noysome beast and pestilence, to destroy man and beast out of it?
22 Und siehe, es verbleiben in ihr noch übrig Entkommene, die herausgebracht werden, Söhne und Töchter, siehe, sie kommen heraus zu euch und ihr werdet ihren Weg und ihre Handlungen sehen, und ihr werdet euch trösten über dem Bösen, das Ich über Jerusalem hereingebracht, über alles, das Ich über dasselbe hatte kommen lassen.
Yet beholde, therein shalbe left a remnant of them that shalbe caryed away both sonnes and daughters: behold, they shall come forth vnto you, and ye shall see their way, and their enterprises: and ye shall be comforted, concerning the euill that I haue brought vpon Ierusalem, euen concerning al that I haue brought vpon it.
23 Und sie werden euch trösten, wenn ihr ihren Weg und ihre Handlungen sehet, und ihr werdet wissen, daß Ich nicht umsonst all das getan, was Ich in ihm getan habe, spricht der Herr Jehovah.
And they shall comfort you, when yee see their way and their enterprises: and ye shall know, that I haue not done without cause all that I haue done in it, saith the Lord God.
