Matthaeus 17
1 Und nach sechs Tagen nimmt Jesus Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, seinen Bruder, und führte sie auf einen hohen Berg besonders.
And after sixe dayes, Iesus tooke Peter, and Iames and Iohn his brother, and brought them vp into an hie mountaine apart,
2 Und ward verwandelt vor ihnen, und es leuchtete sein Angesicht, wie die Sonne, seine Kleider aber wurden weiß, wie das Licht.
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the Sunne, and his clothes were as white as the light.
3 Und siehe, es erschienen ihnen Moses und Elias und redeten mit ihm.
And beholde, there appeared vnto them Moses, and Elias, talking with him.
4 Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu Jesus: Herr! Es ist gut, daß wir hier sind; wenn du willst, so wollen wir hier drei Hütten machen: dir eine, und Moses eine, und eine dem Elias.
Then answered Peter, and saide to Iesus, Master, it is good for vs to be here: if thou wilt, let vs make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 Als er noch redete, siehe, da überschattete sie eine lichte Wolke. Und siehe, eine Stimme aus der Wolke, die sprach: Dieser ist mein geliebter Sohn, an welchem ich Wohlgefallen habe; ihn höret!
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloude shadowed them: and beholde, there came a voyce out of the cloude, saying, This is that my beloued Sonne, in whom I am well pleased: heare him.
6 Und als die Jünger das hörten, fielen sie auf ihr Angesicht, und fürchteten sich sehr.
And when the disciples heard that, they fell on their faces, and were sore afraide.
7 Und Jesus kam herbei, rührte sie an, und sprach: Sehet auf, und fürchtet euch nicht.
Then Iesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraide.
8 Als sie aber ihre Augen aufhoben, sahen sie niemanden außer Jesus allein.
And when they lifted vp their eyes, they sawe no man, saue Iesus onely.
9 Und als sie vom Berge herabstiegen, gebot ihnen Jesus, und sprach: Saget niemanden das Gesicht, bis daß der Menschensohn von den Toten auferstanden ist.
And as they came downe from the moutaine, Iesus charged them, saying, Shewe the vision to no man, vntil the Sonne of man rise againe from the dead.
10 Und seine Jünger fragten ihn, und sprachen: Was sagen denn die Schriftgelehrten, daß Elias zuerst kommen müsse?
And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the Scribes that Elias must first come?
11 Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Elias kommt freilich zuvor, und wird alles wiederherstellen.
And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Certeinely Elias must first come, and restore all thinges.
12 Aber ich sage euch: Elias ist schon gekommen, und sie haben in nicht erkannt, sondern haben an ihm getan, was sie wollten; also wird auch der Menschensohn von ihnen leiden müssen.
But I say vnto you that Elias is come alreadie, and they knewe him not, but haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they would: likewise shall also the Sonne of man suffer of them.
13 Da verstanden die Jünger, daß er von Johannes, dem Täufer, zu ihnen redete.
Then the disciples perceiued that he spake vnto them of Iohn Baptist.
14 Und als sie zu dem Volk kamen, trat zu ihm ein Mensch, der fiel ihm zu Füßen,
And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certaine man, and fell downe at his feete,
15 Und sagte: Herr, erbarme dich meines Sohnes, denn er ist mondsüchtig, und leidet arg, denn oftmals fällt er ins Feuer, und oftmals ins Wasser,
And saide, Master, haue pitie on my sonne: for he is lunatike, and is sore vexed: for oft times he falleth into the fire, and oft times into the water.
16 Und ich habe ihm zu deinen Jüngern gebracht, und sie konnten ihn nicht heilen.
And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not heale him.
17 Jesus aber antwortete, und sprach: O, ungläubiges und verkehrtes Geschlecht! Wie lange soll ich bei euch sein? Wie lange soll ich euch ertragen? Bringet mir ihn hierher!
Then Iesus answered, and said, O generation faithlesse, and crooked, how long now shall I be with you! howe long nowe shall I suffer you! bring him hither to me.
18 Und Jesus bedrohte ihn, und der Dämon fuhr aus von ihm, und der Knabe ward geheilt von jener Stunde an.
And Iesus rebuked the deuill, and he went out of him: and the childe was healed at that houre.
19 Da kamen die Jünger zu Jesus besonders, und sprachen: warum konnten wir ihn nicht austreiben?
Then came the disciples to Iesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Um eures Unglaubens willen. Denn wahrlich ich sage euch, wenn ihr Glauben habt wie ein Senfkorn, so werdet ihr sagen zu diesem Berge: Hebe dich von da dorthin; so wird er sich heben, und es wird euch nichts unmöglich sein.
And Iesus said vnto them, Because of your vnbeliefe: for verely I say vnto you, if ye haue faith as much as is a graine of mustarde seede, ye shall say vnto this mountaine, Remooue hence to yonder place, and it shall remoue: and nothing shalbe vnpossible vnto you.
21 Aber diese Art fährt nicht aus, außer durch Gebet und Fasten.
Howbeit this kinde goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.
22 Als sie aber in Galiläa umherzogen, sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Es steht bevor, daß der Menschensohn in die Hände der Menschen überliefert wird.
And they being in Galile, Iesus said vnto them, The Sonne of man shall be deliuered into the handes of men,
23 Und sie werden ihn töten, und am dritten Tage wird er auferstehen. Und sie wurden sehr traurig.
And they shall kill him, but the thirde day shall he rise againe: and they were very sorie.
24 Als sie aber nach Kapernaum kamen, da stellten sich bei Petrus die ein, welche die Tempelsteuer erhoben, und sagten: Gibt euer Lehrer nicht die Doppeldrachme?
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that receiued polle money, came to Peter, and sayd, Doeth not your Master pay polle money?
25 Er sagte: Ja. Und als er ins Haus trat, kam ihm Jesus zuvor, und sagte: Was dünket dir, Simon? Von wem nehmen die Könige der Erde Zoll, oder Schoß? von ihren Söhnen, oder von den Fremden?
He sayd, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Iesus preuented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whome doe the Kings of the earth take tribute, or polle money? of their children, or of strangers?
26 Er sagt ihm: Von den Fremden. Spricht zu ihm Jesus: Dann sind die Söhne frei.
Peter sayd vnto him, Of strangers. Then said Iesus vnto him, Then are the children free.
27 Damit wir aber ihnen nicht Anstoß geben, so gehe hin an den See, und wirf die Angel aus, und den Fisch, der zuerst herauskommt, nimm, und wenn du seinen Mund auftust, so wirst du einen Stater finden; denselben nimm, und gib ihn für mich und dich.
Neuerthelesse, lest we should offend them: goe to the sea, and cast in an angle, and take the first fish that commeth vp, and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt finde a piece of twentie pence: that take, and giue it vnto them for me and thee.
