Lukas 23
1 Und ihre ganze Menge stund auf, und sie führten ihn vor Pilatus,
And the whole assembly of them arose, and brought him to Pilatos.
2 Und fingen an, ihn zu verklagen, und sagten: Diesen haben wir gefunden, daß er unser Volk aufrührt und ihm wehrt, die Steuern dem Kaiser zu geben, indem er sagt, er sei der Messias, ein König.
And they began to accuse him, saying, We have found this who deludeth our people, and forbiddeth that tribute unto Caesar we should give, saying of himself that he is the King Meshicha.
3 Pilatus aber frug ihn, und sprach: Bist du der König der Juden? Er aber antwortete ihm und sprach: Du sagst es!
But Pilatos asked him, and said to him, Art thou the king of the Jihudoyee? He saith to him, Thou hast said.
4 Pilatus aber sprach zu den hohen Priestern und Volkshaufen: Ich finde keine Schuld an diesem Menschen.
And Pilatos said to the chief priests and to the assembly, I find no occasion against this man.
5 Sie aber bestanden darauf, und sprachen: Er wiegelt das Volk auf, indem er durch ganz Judäa lehrt, von Galiläa an bis hierher.
But they cried out and said, He commoveth our people while he teacheth throughout all Jihud, beginning from Galila unto this place.
6 Als aber Pilatus Galiläa hörte, frug er, ob es ein Galiläer sei?
Pilatos, however, when he heard the name of Galila, asked if the man were a Galiloya.
7 Und da er erfuhr, daß er aus der Herrschaft Herodis sei, sandte er ihn zu Herodes, denn er war auch in Jerusalem in jenen Tagen.
And when he knew that he was from the limit of the jurisdiction of Herodes, he sent him unto Herodes, because that in Urishlem he was in those days.
8 Als aber Herodes Jesus sah, freute er sich sehr, denn er wollte ihn längst sehen, weil er viel von ihm gehört hatte, und er hoffte zu sehen, wie ein Zeichen von ihm geschähe.
And Herodes, when he saw Jeshu, was very glad; for he had desired to see him of a great time: for he had heard concerning him many things, and hoped that some sign he should see from him.
9 Und er frug ihn mit vielen Worten, aber er antwortete ihm nichts.
And many words he asked him; but Jeshu gave him no answer whatever.
10 Es stunden aber die hohen Priester und Schriftgelehten, und verklagten ihn heftig.
And the chief priests and scribes stood and strenuously accused him.
11 Nachdem nun Herodes mit seinen Kriegsleuten ihn verachtet und verspottet hatte, legte er ihm ein weißes Gewand an, und sandte ihn zurück zu Pilatus.
Then Herodes and his soldiers treated him as a fool; and when he had derided him, he dressed him in a robe of crimson, and sent him to Pilatos.
12 Pilatus und Herodes wurden aber an demselbigen Tage Freunde miteinander, denn vorher waren sie in Feindschaft gegen einander.
And in that day Pilatos and Herodes were friends with each other; for before there had been enmity between them.
13 Pilatus aber rief die hohen Priester und die Obersten und das Volk zusammen,
And Pilatos called the chief priests and the rulers of the people,
14 Und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt diesen Menschen vor mich gebracht, als mache er das Volk abfällig; und siehe, ich habe ihn vor euch verhört, und habe nichts an diesem Menschen gefunden von der Schuld, deren ihr ihn angeklagt;
and said to them, You have brought to me this man as a perverter of your people; and, behold, I have examined him in your sight, and have found no cause in this man of all that you accuse him:
15 Aber auch Herodes nicht; denn ich habe euch zu ihm gesandt, und siehe, es ist von ihm nichts verübt worden, das des Todes wert wäre.
nor also Herodes; for I sent him unto him, and, behold, nothing worthy of death is done to him:
16 Ich will ihn nun züchtigen, und loslassen.
I will therefore chastise him, and dismiss him.
17 Er war aber gehalten, ihnen auf das Fest einen loszugeben.
For a custom had he to release to them one at the festival.
18 Sie schrieen aber im ganzen Haufen, und sprachen: Bring ihn um! Laß uns aber den Barrabas los!
But all the multitude cried out, saying, Take this, and release to us Baraba;
19 Dieser war nämlich um eines in der Stadt entstandenen Aufstandes und um eines Mordes willen in das Gefängnis geworfen worden.
he who, for insurrection and murder which had been done in the city, had been thrown into the house of the chained.
20 Abermal rief ihnen Pilatus zu; denn er wollte Jesus loslassen.
But Pilatos spake with them again, being willing to release Jeshu.
21 Sie aber schrieen dawider, und sprachen: Kreuzige, kreuzige ihn!
But they cried out, saying, Crucify him! Crucify him!
22 Er aber sprach zum drittenmal zu ihnen: Was Arges hat denn dieser getan? Ich finde keine Ursache des Todes an ihm. Ich will ihn nun züchtigen, und loslassen.
He the third time also said to them, Why, what evil hath this done? Cause whatever that is worthy of death, I find not in him: I will therefore chastise him, and dismiss him.
23 Sie aber hielten an mit großem Geschrei, und forderten, daß er gekreuzigt würde. Und ihr und der hohen Priester Geschrei nahm überhand.
But they were urgent with a high voice, demanding that they might crucify him; and theirs and the voices of the high priests prevailed.
24 Da urteilte Pilatus, daß ihre Forderung geschähe,
And Pilatos commanded that their requirement should be done.
25 Und gab den los, der wegen Aufstand und Mord ins Gefängnis geworfen wurde, und um welchen sie baten, aber Jesus übergab er ihrem Willen.
And he released to them him who, for insurrection and murder, had been thrown into the house of the chained, whom they had asked: but Jeshu he delivered to their will.
26 Und als sie ihn hinführten, ergriffen sie einen, Simon von Kyrene, der vom Felde kam, und legten ihm das Kreuz auf, es Jesus nachzutragen.
AND as they led him away, they laid hold on Shemun Kurinoya, who was coming from the country, and they laid on him the cross, that he might bear (it) after Jeshu.
27 Es folgte ihm aber eine große Menge des Volkes und der Weiber, die beklagten und bejammerten ihn.
And there followed him much people, and those women who mourned and wailed for him.
28 Jesus aber wendete sich um zu ihnen, und sprach: Töchter Jerusalems, weinet nicht über mich, sondern weinet über euch selbst und über eure Kinder!
And Jeshu turned to them, and said, Daughters of Urishlem, weep not for me, but for yourselves weep, and for your children.
29 Denn siehe, es kommen Tage, an welchen man sagen wird: Selig sind die Unfruchtbaren, und die Leiber, die nicht geboren, und die Brüste, die nicht gesäugt haben.
For, behold, coming are the days in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs which have not borne, and the breasts that have not suckled.
30 Dann werden sie anfangen zu sagen zu den Bergen: Fallet auf uns! und zu den Hügeln: Decket uns!
Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the heights, Cover us!
31 Denn, wenn man das tut am grünen Holz, was wird mit dem dürren geschehen?
For if to the tree which is good they do these things, unto the dry what shall be?
32 Es wurden aber auch zwei andere hingeführt, Übeltäter, mit ihm hingerichtet zu werden.
And there went with him two others, workers of evil, to be put to death.
33 Und als sie an den Ort kamen, der Schädelstätte genannt wird, kreuzigten sie ihn daselbst und die Übeltäter, einen zur Rechten, den anderen aber zur Linken.
And when they came to a certain place called Karkaphtha, there they crucified him, and those workers of evil, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
34 Jesus aber sprach: Vater, vergib ihnen! denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun. Und sie verteilten seine Kleider, und warfen das Los darum.
BUT Jeshu himself said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they divided his garments, and cast for them lots.
35 Und das Volk stund da, und schaute zu, Es höhnten aber auch die Obersten mit ihnen, und sprachen: Andere hat er errettet; er errette sich selbst, wenn er der Messias ist, der Auserwählte Gottes.
But the people stood beholding, and the rulers also, mocking him, and saying, He saved others, let him save himself, if he be the Meshicha, the Chosen of God.
36 Es verspotteten ihn aber auch die Kriegsknechte, liefen hin, und brachten ihm Essig,
And the soldiers also, deriding him, approaching him, and offering to him vinegar,
37 Und sagten: Wenn du der König der Juden bist, so errette dich selbst.
said to him, If thou art the King of the Jihudoyee, save thyself.
38 Es war aber auch eine Überschrift über ihm, geschrieben in griechischen, römischen und hebräischen Buchstaben: Dieser ist der König der Juden.
And there was also an inscription which was written over him in Greek and Roman and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JIHUDOYEE.
39 Einer aber von den gehenkten Übeltätern lästerte ihn, und sprach: Wenn du der Messias bist, so errette dich und uns!
And one of those workers of evil who were hanged with him, blasphemed against him, saying, If thou art the Meshicha, deliver thyself, and deliver us also.
40 Der andere aber antwortete, schalt ihn, und sprach: Und du fürchtest Gott auch nicht, da du doch in derselben Strafe bist?
And his companion rebuked him, and said to him, Dost thou not fear (even) Aloha? for thou also art in this judgment.
41 Und wir zwar gerechterweise, denn wir empfangen, was unsre Taten wert sind; dieser aber hat nichts Unpassendes getan.
And we righteously, forasmuch as we have been deserving, and as we are punished for that which we have done;
42 Und er sprach zu Jesus: Erinnere dich meiner, wann du in deiner Königsherrschaft kommst.
but this hath done nothing that is abominable. And he said to Jeshu, Remember me, my Lord, when thou art come into thy kingdom!
43 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir heute: Mit mir wirst du im Paradiese sein.
Jeshu saith to him, Amen I say to thee, That to-day with me thou shalt be in Paradise.
44 Es war aber um die sechste Stunde, da kam eine Finsternis über das ganze Land, bis zur neunten Stunde.
NOW it was about six hours, and there was darkness over all the earth until nine hours.
45 Und die Sonne ward verfinstert, und der Vorhang des Tempels riß mitten entzwei.
And the sun darkened, and rent was the vail of the temple through the midst of it.
46 Und Jesus rief mit lauter Stimme: Vater, in deine Hände Übergebe ich meinen Geist. Und als er das gesagt, verschied er.
And Jeshu cried with a high voice, and said, My Father, in thy hands I place my spirit. This he said, and completed.
47 Als aber der Hauptmann sah, was da geschah, pries er Gott, und sprach: Wahrlich, dieser Mensch war gerecht.
But when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified Aloha, saying, Assuredly this was a just man.
48 Und alle die Volkshaufen, die zu diesem Schauspiel zusammengekommen waren, als sie sahen, was geschah, schlugen auf ihre Brust, und kehrten um.
And all the multitude, they who were assembled to see this, when they saw what was done, returned, smiting upon their breasts.
49 Es stunden aber alle seine Bekannten von ferne, und die Weiber, die ihm von Galiläa nachgefolgt waren, die sahen solches.
And there were standing afar off all the acquaintances of Jeshu, and those women who came with him from Galila; and they saw these things.
50 Und siehe, ein Mann mit Namen Joseph, der ein Ratsherr war, ein guter und gerechter Mann,
BUT a certain man, whose name was Jauseph, a senator from Rometha, a city of Jehud, a man (who) was good and just:
51 Der selbst ihrem Rat und ihrer Tat nicht beigestimmt hatte, vom Arimathäa, der Stadt Judäas, welcher auch selbst auf die Gottesherrschaft wartete,
(this had not consented to the counsel and deed of them; and he was waiting for the kingdom of Aloha: )
52 Dieser ging zu Pilatus, und bat um den Leib Jesu,
this approached Pilatos, and begged the body of Jeshu;
53 Und nahm ihn ab, und wickelte ihn in Leinwand, und legte ihn in ein ausgehauenes Grabmal, in welchem noch nie jemand gelegen war.
and he took it down, and wrapped it in a cloth of linen, and laid it in a hewn sepulchre, in which no one had hitherto been laid.
54 Und es war Rüsttag, und der Sabbat brach an.
And it was the day of the preparation; and the shabath had lighted.
55 Die Weiber aber, die nachgefolgt waren, sahen das Grabmahl, und wie sein Leib hingelegt ward.
And the women also drew near, they who had come with him from Galila; and they saw the sepulchre, and where the body was laid;
56 Und sie kehrten um, und bereiteten Spezereien und Salben; doch den Sabbat über hielten sie sich ruhig nach dem Gesetz.
and, returned, they prepared balsams and aromatics, and on the shabath rested, as it is commanded.
