Lukas 19
1 Und er kam hinein, und zog durch Jericho.
And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 Und siehe, da war ein Mann, mit Namen Zachäus, der war ein Oberzöllner, und war reich.
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the tax collectors, and he was rich.
3 Und er suchte Jesus zu sehen, wer er sei, und konnte nicht vor dem Volkshaufen, denn er war klein von Wuchs.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
4 Und er lief voraus, und stieg auf einen Maulbeerfeigenbaum, damit er ihn sähe, denn dort sollte er durchkommen.
And he ran before, and climbed up upon a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 Und als er an den Ort kam, blickte Jesus ermpor, sah ihn, und sprach zu ihm: Zachäus, eile dich, und steig herab, denn heute muß ich in deinem Hause bleiben.
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 Und er eilte sich, stieg herab, und nahm ihn auf mit Freuden.
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 Und alle, die es sahen, murrten, und sprachen: Zu einem Sünder ist er hingegangen, zu herbergen.
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 Zachäus aber stund und sprach zu dem Herrn: Siehe, die Hälfte meiner Güter, Herr, gebe ich den Armen; und wenn ich jemand um etwas übervorteilt habe, so erstatte ich es vierfältig.
And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Heute ist diesem Hause Heil widerfahren, sintemal auch er ein Sohn Abrahams ist.
And Jesus said to him, This day is salvation come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
10 Denn der Menschensohn ist gekommen, zu suchen und zu retten, was verloren ist.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 Als sie aber dieses hörten, fuhr er fort, und sagte ein Gleichnis, darum daß er nahe bei Jerusalem war, und sie meinten, daß die Gottesherrschaft sogleich geoffenbart würde.
And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 Er sprach nun: Ein Edelmann zog in ein fernes Land, eine Königsherrschaft für sich zu empfangen, und dann zurückzukehren.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 Er rief aber zehn seiner Knechte, und übergab ihnen zehn Pfunde, und sprach zu ihnen: Handelt, bis daß ich wiederkomme.
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said to them, Occupy till I come.
14 Seine Mitbürger aber haßten ihn, und sandten eine Gesandtschaft hinter ihm drein, und sprachen: Wir wollen nicht, daß dieser König über uns sei.
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 Und es geschah, als er zurückgekommen war, und die Königsherrschaft empfangen hatte, ließ er diese Knechte zu sich rufen, welchen er das Geld gegeben hatte, damit er wüßte, was jeder gehandelt hätte.
And it came to pass, that when he had returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Da tat der erste herzu, und sprach: Herr, dein Pfund hat zehn Pfunde erarbeitet.
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 Und er sprach zu ihm: Recht so, guter Knecht! Weil du im Geringsten treu gewesen bist, so sollst du Macht haben über zehn Städte.
And he said to him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 Und es kam der zweite, und sprach: Herr, dein Pfund hat fünf Pfunde gemacht.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 Er sprach aber auch zu diesem: Und du sollst über fünf Städte sein.
And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 Und ein anderer kam, und sprach: Herr, siehe, hier ist dein Pfund, welches ich im Schweißtuch aufbewahrt habe.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 Denn ich fürchtete mich, weil du ein strenger Mensch bist; du nimmst, was du nicht hingelegt hast, und erntest, was du nicht gesäet hast.
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.
22 Er aber sagt ihm: Aus deinem Munde richte ich dich, schlechter Knecht. Du wußtest, daß ich ein strenger Mensch bin, nehme, was ich nicht hingelegt habe, und ernte, was ich nicht gesäet habe?
And he saith to him, Out of thy own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow:
23 Warum hast du denn mein Geld nicht in die Bank getan, und bei meiner Rückkehr hätte ich es mit Zinsen eingezogen?
Why then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
24 Und er sprach zu den Dabeistehenden: Nehmet das Pfund von ihm, und gebet es dem, der die zehn Pfunde hat.
And he said to them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Herr, er hat zehn Pfunde.
( And they said to him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 Ich sage euch: Jedem, der da hat, wird gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch was er hat, genommen werden.
For I say to you, That to every one who hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even what he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 Doch jene meine Feinde, die nicht wollten, daß ich König über sie sein soll, bringet hierher, und erwürget sie vor mir.
But those my enemies, who would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay them before me.
28 Und als er dies gesagt hatte, ging er voraus, und zog hinauf nach Jerusalem.
And when he had thus spoken, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 Und es geschah, als er nahe an Bethphage und Bethanien kam, an den sogenannten Ölberg, sandte er zwei seiner Jünger,
And it came to pass, when he had come near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30 Und sprach: Gehet hin in das gegenüberliegende Dorf; wenn ihr in dasselbe eingehet, so werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf welchem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen ist; löset es ab, und bringet es.
Saying, Go ye into the village opposite you; in which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, on which yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him here.
31 Und wenn euch jemand frägt: Warum löset ihr es ab? so saget ihm also: Der Herr hat es nötig.
And if any man shall ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
32 Und die gesandt waren, gingen hin, und fanden es, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte.
And they that were sent went, and found even as he had said to them.
33 Als sie aber das Füllen ablösten, sprachen seine Herren zu ihnen: Was löset ihr das Füllen ab?
And as they were loosing the colt, its owners said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 Und sie sprachen: der Herr hat es nötig;
And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 Und führten es zu Jesus, und warfen ihre Kleider auf das Füllen, und hoben Jesum darauf.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus on it.
36 Als er aber hinzog, breiteten sie ihre Kleider aus auf dem Wege.
And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
37 Da er aber schon nahe an den Ort gekommen war, wo man den Ölberg hinuntergeht, fing die ganze Menge seiner Jünger an Gott zu loben mit lauter Stimme, wegen all der Krafttaten, die sie gesehen hatten,
And when he had come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Und sprachen: Gesegnet sei der König, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn! Friede sei im Himmel, und Herrlichkeit sei in den Höhen (beschlossen über ihn)!
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 Und etliche der Pharisäer von dem Volkshaufen sprachen zu ihm: Lehrer, wehre deine Jünger!
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 Und er antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Ich sage euch, daß wenn diese schweigen, die Steine schreien.
And he answered and said to them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 Und als er nahekam, und die Stadt sah, weinte er über sie,
And when he had come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Und sprach: Ach, daß auch du wüßtest, und zwar an diesem deinem Tage, was zu deinem Frieden dient! Nun aber ist es vor deinen Augen verborgen.
Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong to thy peace! but now they are hid from thy eyes.
43 Denn es werden Tage über dich kommen, da deine Feinde einen Wall um dich aufwerfen, und dich umzingeln, und dich einengen werden von allen Seiten.
For the days shall come upon thee, that thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and surround thee, and keep thee in on every side,
44 Und sie werden dich und deine Kinder in dir zu Boden werfen, und werden in dir keinen Stein auf dem andern lassen, dafür daß du nicht erkannt hast die Zeit deiner Heimsuchung.
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45 Und er ging in den Tempel, und fing an auszutreiben, die darin verkauften und kauften.
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold in it, and them that bought;
46 Und sprachen zu ihnen: Es steht geschrieben: "Mein Haus ist ein Bethaus"; ihr aber habt es zu einer Räuberhöhle gemacht.
Saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47 Und er lehrte täglich im Tempel. Die hohen Priester aber und die Schriftgelehrten samt den ersten des Volkes suchten ihn umzubringen.
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 Und sie fanden nicht, was sie ihm tun sollten, denn das ganze Volk hing an seinem Munde.
And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
