Lukas 17
1 Er aber sprach zu seinen Jüngern: Es ist unmöglich, daß nicht Anstöße kommen, wehe aber dem Menschen, durch welchen sie kommen!
Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe [to him] by whom they come!
2 Es wäre ihm nützer, wenn ein Mühlstein um seinen Hals gelegt, und er ins Meer gestürzt würde, als daß er einem dieser Kleinen Anstoß zum Falle gäbe. Hütet euch!
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
3 Wenn dein Bruder sündigt, so verweise es ihm, und wenn er seine Gesinnung ändert, so vergib ihm.
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.
4 Und wenn er siebenmal des Tages sündigt wider dich, und siebenmal des Tages zu dir käme, und spräche: Ich bereue es; so sollst du ihm vergeben.
And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5 Und die Apostel sprachen zu dem Herrn: Vermehre uns den Glauben!
And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 Der Herr aber sprach: Wenn ihr Glauben habt, wie ein Senfkorn, und saget zu diesem Maulbeerbaum: Entwurzle dich, und pflanze dich ins Meer, so wird er euch gehorchen.
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
7 Wer aber von euch, der einen Knecht hat, welcher pflügt, oder weidet, wird ihm, wenn er vom Felde heimkommt, sagen: Komme sogleich her, und lege dich zu Tische!
But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
8 Sagt er nicht im Gegenteil zu ihm: Bereite, was ich essen soll, schürze dich, und diene mir, damit ich essen und trinken kann, und nachher darfst du auch essen und trinken.
And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Dankt er wohl dem Knecht, daß er getan hat, was ihm befohlen war? Ich meine nicht.
Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.
10 Also auch ihr, wenn ihr alles getan habt, was euch befohlen war, so sprechet: Wir sind unnütze Knechte, wir haben getan, was wir zu tun schuldig waren.
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.
11 Und es geschah, als er nach Jerusalem reiste, zog er hin mitten zwischen Samaria und Galiläa.
And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Und als er in ein Dorf kam, begegneten ihm zehn aussätzige Männer, die stunden von ferne.
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.
13 Und sie erhoben ihre Stimme, und sprachen: Jesus, Meister, erbarme dich unser!
And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 Und als er sie sah, sprach er zu ihnen: Gehet hin, zeiget euch den Priestern! Und es geschah, als sie hingingen, wurden sie gereinigt.
And when he saw [them], he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.
15 Einer aber von ihnen, als er sah, daß er geheilt war, kehrte um, und pries Gott mit lauter Stimme,
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 Und fiel auf sein Angesicht zu seinen Füßen, und dankte ihm. Und das war ein Samariter.
And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus aber antwortete, und sprach: Sind nicht die Zehn rein geworden? Wo sind aber die Neune?
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?
18 Haben sich keine gefunden, die umkehrten, und gäben Gott die Ehre, ohne diesen Ausländer?
There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 Und er sprach zu ihm: Stehe auf, gehe hin! Dein Glaube hat dir geholfen.
And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20 Als er aber gefragt wurde von den Pharisäern: Wann kommt die Gottesherrschaft? antwortete er ihnen, und sprach: Die Gottesherrschaft kommt nicht mit sinnlicher Wahrnehmbarkeit,
And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.
21 Man wird auch nicht sagen: Siehe hier, oder siehe dort! Denn siehe, die Gottesherrschaft ist innerlich bei euch.
Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 Er aber sprach zu seinen Jüngern: Es werden Tage kommen, wann ihr begehren werdet einen der Tage des Menschensohnes zu sehen, und ihr werdet ihn nicht sehen.
And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see [it].
23 Und sie werden euch sagen: Siehe hier, siehe da! Gehet nicht hin, und folget nicht nach!
And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow them.
24 Denn gleichwie der Blitz, wenn er blitzt, von einer Himmelsgegend zur andern leuchtet, so wird der Menschensohn sein an seinem Tage.
For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one [part] under heaven, shineth to the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 Zuvor aber muß er viel leiden und verworfen werden von diesem Geschlecht.
But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
26 Und wie es war in den Tagen Noahs, so wird es sein in den Tagen des Menschensohnes.
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 Sie aßen, sie tranken, sie freiten und ließen sich freien, bis zu dem Tage, an welchem Noah in die Arche einging; und es kam die Flut, und brachte alle um.
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Gleicherweise, wie es auch geschah in den Tagen Lots: sie aßen, sie tranken, sie kauften, sie verkauften, sie pflanzten, sie bauten;
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 An dem Tage aber da Lot von Sodom ausging, regnete es Feuer und Schwefel vom Himmel, und brachte sie alle um.
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all:
30 Demgemäß wird es sein am Tage, da der Menschensohn sich offenbart.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 An jenem Tage, wer auf dem Dache ist, und sein Gerät im Hause, der steige nicht herab, es zu nehmen. Und wer auf dem Acker ist, der wende sich gleicherweise nicht hinter sich zurück.
In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Gedenket an Lots Weib!
Remember Lot's wife.
33 Wer seine Seele zu retten suchen wird, der wird sie verlieren, und wer sie verliert, der wird ihr zum Leben verhelfen.
Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.
34 Ich sage euch: In jener Nacht werden zwei auf einem Bette sein, einer wird angenommen und der andere gelassen werden.
I tell you, in that night there will be two [men] in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 Zwei werden zusammen mahlen, die eine wird angenommen, die andere gelassen werden.
Two [women] will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.
36 Zwei werden auf dem Felde sein, der eine wird angenommen, der andere wird gelassen werden.
Two [men] will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
37 Und sie antworteten, und sagen ihm: Wo, Herr? Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wo das Aas ist, da versammeln sich die Adler.
And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body [is], thither will the eagles be collected.
