Lukas 1
1 Sintemal es viele unternommen haben, eine Erzählung zusammenzustellen von den Geschichten, die sich bei uns ereignet haben,
BECAUSE many have willed to record histories of those transactions of which we are persuaded, according to that which they have delivered to us,
2 So wie uns überliefert haben die, welche von Anfang an Augenzeugen und Diener des Wortes gewesen sind,
(they) who from the first were eye-witnesses and ministers of his doctrine;
3 Habe auch ich es für gut gefunden, nachdem ich alles von vorne an mit Fleiß verfolgt habe, es dir, verehrtester Theophilus, in geordneter Folge zu schreiben,
it appeared also to me, that having been intimately near to them all, I should record every thing in its order for thee, illustrious Theophile,
4 Damit du Gewißheit erlangest über die Lehren, in welchen du unterwiesen bist.
that thou mayest know the truth of those doctrines in which thou hast been instructed.
5 In den Tagen Herodis, des Königs Judäas, war ein Priester, mit Namen Zacharias, von der Ordnung Abias; und sein Weib war von den Töchtern Arons, und ihr Name Elisabeth.
THERE was in the days of Herodes, king of the Jihudoyee, a certain priest whose name was Zakaria, of the service of the house of Abia, and his wife (was) of the daughters of Aharun; her name was Elishaba.
6 Sie waren aber beide gerecht vor Gott, und wandelten in allen Geboten und Rechten des Herrn untadelig.
And they were both just before Aloha, and walked in all his commandments, and in the righteousness of the Lord, without blame.
7 Und sie hatten kein Kind, da Elisabeth unfruchtbar war; und beide waren wohlbetagt.
But they had no son because Elishaba was barren, and both had become many in their days.
8 Es geschah aber, als er Priesterdienst tat, in der Reihe seiner Ordnung, vor Gott,
But it was while he was acting-as-priest in the order of his ministry before Aloha,
9 Nach der Sitte des Priesteramts, und es ihn traf zu räuchern, daß er hineinging in den Tempel des Herrn.
according to the custom of the priesthood he came to set on incense, and entered into the temple of the Lord.
10 Und die ganze menge des Volkes betete draußen in der Stunde des Räucherns.
And all the congregation of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
11 Es erschien ihm aber der Engel des Herrn, der stand zur Rechten des Rauchaltars.
And there appeared to him, to Zakaria, the angel of the Lord, standing on the right hand of the altar of incense.
12 Und Zacharias erschrak, als er ihn sah, und Furcht befiel ihn.
And Zakaria trembled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him.
13 Der Engel aber sprach zu ihm: Fürchte dich nicht, Zacharias, denn deine Bitte ist erhört, und dein Weib Elisabeth wird dir einen Sohn gebären, und du sollst seinen Namen Johannes (Gotthold) nennen.
And the angel said to him, Fear not, Zakaria, for thy prayer is heard, and thy wife Elishaba shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name Juchanon.
14 Und er wird dir zur Freude und Wonne sein, und viele werden sich ob seiner Geburt freuen.
And to thee shall be joy and exultation, and many shall rejoice in his birth:
15 Denn er wird groß sein vor dem Herrn, und Wein und Berauschendes soll er nicht trinken, aber noch im Mutterleib wird er mit heiligem Geist erfüllt werden.
for he shall be great before the Lord, and wine and strong liquor shall he not drink, and with the Spirit of Holiness shall he be filled, from the womb of his mother.
16 Und viele der Söhne Israels wird er bekehren zu dem Herrn, ihrem Gott.
And many of the sons of Isroel shall he convert to the Lord their Aloha.
17 Und er selbst wird von ihm hergehen im Geiste und in der Kraft Elias, zu bekehren die Herzen der Väter zu den Kindern, und die Ungehorsamen zur Einsicht der Gerechten, zuzurichten dem Herrn ein bereitet Volk.
And he shall go before him in the spirit and the power of Elia the prophet, to turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children, and those who believe not to the knowledge of the righteous, and to prepare for the Lord a perfect people.
18 Und Zacharias sprach zu dem Engel: Wobei soll ich das erkennen? denn ich bin alt, und mein Weib ist betagt.
And Zakaria said to the angel, How shall I know this? for I am old, and my wife many in her days.
19 Und der Engel antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Ich bin Gabriel, der vor Gott steht, und bin gesandt, mit dir zu reden, und dir diese frohe Botschaft zu verkünden.
And the angel answered and said to him, I am Gabriel, I stand before Aloha, and I have been sent to speak with thee and to announce to thee these things.
20 Und siehe, du wirst verstummen, und nicht reden können, bis zu dem Tage, an welchem dies geschehen wird, darum, daß du meinen Worten nicht geglaubt hast, welche werden erfüllt werden zu ihrer Zeit.
From henceforth thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be able to speak, till the day when these things shall be done, because thou hast not believed these words, which shall be fulfilled in their time.
21 Und das Volk wartete auf Zacharias, und verwunderte sich, daß er so lange im Tempel verzog.
But the people were standing, and expecting Zakaria. and were wondering at his delay in the temple.
22 Als er aber herauskam, konnte er nicht mit ihnen reden; und sie merkten, daß er ein Gesicht gesehen im Tempel; und er winkte ihnen, und blieb stumm.
But when Zakaria had come forth, he could not speak to them; and he made them understand that he had seen a vision in the temple, and signing he signed to them, and remained dumb.
23 Und es geschah, da die Tage seines Amtes erfüllt waren, ging er heim.
And when the days of his service were fulfilled, he came to his house.
24 Nach diesen Tagen aber empfing sein Weib Elisabeth, und verbarg sich fünf Monate, und sprach:
And it was after those days Elishaba his wife conceived, and she secluded herself five months.
25 Also hat mir der Herr getan in den Tagen, da er mich angesehen hat, daß er meine Schmach bei den Menschen wegnähme.
And she said, These things hath the Lord done for me in the days of my desolation, to take away my reproach from among the children of men.
26 In dem sechsten Monat aber ward der Engel Gabriel gesandt von Gott in eine Stadt Galiläas, mit Namen Nazareth,
BUT in the sixth month Gabriel the angel was sent from before Aloha to Galila, to a city whose name (is) Natsrath,
27 Zu einer Jungfrau, die verlobt war mit einem Manne, mit Namen Joseph, aus dem Hause Davids; und der Name der Jungfrau war Maria.
unto a Virgin espoused to a man whose name was Jauseph, of the house of David, and the name of the Virgin was Mariam.
28 Und der Engel kam hinein zu ihr, und sprach: Sei gegrüßt, Begnadigte! Der Herr ist mit dir; gesegnet bist du unter den Weibern!
And the angel entered to her, and said to her, Peace to thee, full of grace! our Lord is with thee, thou blessed among women!
29 Da sie ihn aber sah, erschrak sie über seine Rede, und dachte, was für ein Gruß das sei?
But she, when she saw, was troubled at his words, and reasoned what this salutation was.
30 Und der Engel sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht, Maria! denn du hast Gnade gefunden bei Gott.
And the angel said to her, Fear not, Mariam, for thou hast found favour with Aloha.
31 Und siehe, du wirst empfangen im Leibe und einen Sohn gebären, und du sollst seinen Namen Jesus heißen.
For, behold, thou shalt conceive, and shalt bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jeshu.
32 Der wird groß sein und Sohn des Höchsten genannt werden; und der Herr, Gott, wird ihm den Thron seines Vater David geben,
He will be great, and the Son of the Most High shall he be called, and Aloha the Lord shall give unto him the throne of David his father.
33 Und er wird König sein über das Haus Jakob in die Ewigkeiten, und seiner Herrschaft wird kein Ende sein. (aiōn g165)
And he shall reign over the house of Jakub for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn g165)
34 Maria aber sprach zu dem Engel: Wie wird das sein, da ich von keinem Manne weiß?
And Mariam said to the angel, How shall this be, because a man is not known to me?
35 Und der Engel antwortete, und sprach zu ihr: Heiliger Geist wird über dich kommen, und Kraft des Höchsten wird dich überschatten, darum wird auch das erzeugte Heilige Sohn Gottes genannt werden.
The angel answered and said to her, The Spirit of Holiness shall come, and the Power of the Most High shall shadow over thee; on account of this He who (shall be) born from thee is the Holy, and the Son of Aloha shall be called.
36 Und siehe, Elisabeth, deine Verwandte, ist auch in Hoffnung mit einem Sohn, in ihrem Alter, und sie, die unfruchtbar geheißen, geht jetzt im sechsten Monat.
And behold, Elishaba thy kinswoman, she also beareth a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month to her, -to her who is called the barren.
37 Denn bei Gott ist kein Ding unmöglich.
For nothing is difficult to Aloha.
38 Maria aber sprach: Siehe, ich bin des Herrn Magd; mir geschehe, wie du gesagt hast. Und der Engel schied von ihr.
And Mariam said, Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me as thou hast said. And the angel went from her.
39 Maria aber stund auf in den Tagen und reiste in das Gebirge, mit Eile, in die Stadt Judas,
AND Mariam arose in those days, and went with haste to the mountain to a city of Jehud;
40 Und kam in das Haus Zacharias, und grüßte Elisabeth.
and she entered into the house of Zakaria, and saluted Elishaba.
41 Und es geschah, als Elisabeth den Gruß der Maria hörte, hüpfte das Kind in ihrem Leibe, und Elisabeth ward voll heiligen Geistes,
And it was that when Elishaba heard the salutation of Mariam, the infant leaped in her womb. And she was filled with the Spirit of Holiness;
42 Und rief mit lauter Stimme, und sprach: Gesegnet bist du unter den Weibern, und gesegnet ist die Frucht deines Leibes.
and she cried with a loud voice, and said unto Mariam, Blessed art thou among women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb!
43 Und woher kommt mir das, daß die Mutter meines Herrn zu mir kommt?
Whence unto me is this, That the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 Denn siehe, als die Stimme deines Grußes in meine Ohren kam, hüpfte das Kind mit Frohlocken in meinem Leibe.
For, lo, as fell the voice of thy salutation on my ears, For great Joy leaped the infant in my womb.
45 Und selig bist du, die du geglaubt hast, denn es wird vollendet werden, was dir gesagt ist vom Herrn.
And happy is she who hath believed, For there is a fulfilment of those things which have been spoken to her from the Lord.
46 Und Maria sprach: Meine Seele preiset den Herrn,
And Mariam said: My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 Und mein Geist frohlockt über Gott, meinen Heiland.
And my spirit rejoiceth in Aloha my Saviour,
48 Denn er hat angesehen die Niedrigkeit seiner Magd; denn siehe, von nun an werden mich selig nennen alle Geschlechter.
Who hath looked upon the lowliness of his handmaid: For, behold, from now all generations shall give blessedness to me.
49 Denn er hat Großes an mir getan, der Mächtige; und heilig ist sein Name.
Because he hath done for me great things, he who is mighty, And holy is his name.
50 Und sein Erbarmen währet von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht bei denen, die ihn fürchten.
And his grace is for ages and generations Upon those who fear him.
51 Er hat Gewalt geübt mit seinem Arm; zerstreut die hoffärtig sind in ihrer Herzen Gedanken.
He hath wrought victory with his arm; He hath scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
52 Gestoßen hat er Gewalthaber von ihren Thronen; und erhöht die Niedrigen.
He hath overturned the mighty from their thrones, And hath exalted the humble.
53 Die Hungrigen hat er gefüllt mit Gutem; und die Reichen leer weggesandt.
The hungry he hath satisfied with good things, And the rich he hath sent away empty.
54 Er hat sich angenommen Israels, seines Knechtes; sich zu erinnern des Erbarmens;
He hath helped Isroel his servant, And hath remembered his mercy;
As he spake with our fathers, With Abraham and with his seed for ever. (aiōn g165)
56 Maria aber blieb bei ihr drei Monate, und kehrte um in ihr Haus.
And Mariam stayed with Elishaba three months, and returned to her house.
57 Für Elisabeth aber kam die Zeit, da sie gebären sollte, und sie gebar einen Sohn.
BUT to Elishaba had come the time that she should give birth, and she gave birth to a son.
58 Und es hörten ihre Nachbarn und Verwandte, daß der Herr sein Erbarmen an ihr verherrlicht hatte, und freuten sich mit ihr.
And her neighbours and the sons of her family heard that Aloha had magnified his grace upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
59 Und es geschah am achten Tage, daß sie kamen, das Kindlein zu beschneiden; und sie nannten ihn, nach dem Namen seines Vaters, Zacharias.
And it was the eighth day, and they came to circumcise the child; and they called him by the name of his father, Zakaria.
60 Und seine Mutter antwortete, und sprach: Nein, sondern er soll Johannes heißen.
And his mother answered and said to them, Not so; but he shall be called Juchanon.
61 Und sie sprachen zu ihr: Niemand ist in deiner Verwandtschaft, der also heißt.
And they said to her, No man in thy kindred is called by this name.
62 Da winkte sie seinem Vater, wie er wolle, daß er heiße.
And they signed to his father (to show) how he willed they should call him.
63 Und er forderte ein Täfelein, und schrieb also: Johannes ist sein Name; und sie verwunderten sich alle.
And he requested a tablet, and wrote, and said, Juchanan is his name. And every man wondered.
64 Da öffnete sich sein Mund plötzlich, und seine Zunge, und er redete und lobte Gott.
And immediately his mouth and his tongue were opened, and he spake, and blessed Aloha.
65 Und es kam Furcht über alle, die um sie herum wohnten, und auf dem ganzen Gebirge Judäas redete man von diesem Dingen.
And there was fear upon all around them; and in all the hill country of Jehud were these things spoken.
66 Und alle, die es hörten, nahmen es zu Herzen, und sprachen: Was wird doch noch aus diesem Kindlein werden? Denn auch die Hand des Herrn war mit ihm.
And all who heard reasoned in their hearts, and said, What is this child to be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 Und Zacharias, sein Vater, ward mit heiligem Geist erfüllt, weissagte und sprach:
And Zakaria his father was filled with the Spirit of Holiness, and he prophesied, and said:
68 Gelobt sei der Herr, der Gott Israels; denn er hat angesehen und Erlösung geschafft seinem Volke Israel.
Blessed be the Lord, the Aloha of Israel; For he hath visited his people, and wrought for him redemption,
69 Und uns aufgerichtet ein Horn des Heils, in dem Hause Davids, seines Knechtes,
And hath raised up for us the horn of redemption In the house of David his servant;
70 Wie er geredet hat durch den Mund der Heiligen, die von Ewigkeit her seinen Propheten gewesen sind, (aiōn g165)
As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, Who have been from of old, (aiōn g165)
71 Rettung von unsern Feinden, und aus der Hand aller, die uns hassen.
That we should be delivered from our adversaries, And from the hand of all who hate us;
72 Barmherzigkeit zu erweisen an unseren Vätern; und sich zu erinnern seines heiligen Bundes.
To perform his grace with our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;
73 Den Eid, welchen er geschworen hat dem Abraham, unserm Vater, uns zu geben,
The oath which he sware to Abraham our father, -
74 Daß wir erlöst aus der Hand unserer Feinde, furchtlos ihm dieneten,
That to us he would grant That, being delivered from the hand of our adversaries, Without fear we might serve before him
75 In Heiligkeit und Gerechtigkeit vor ihm, alle unsere Tage.
All our days in righteousness.
76 Und du, Kindlein, wirst ein Prophet des Höchsten genannt werden; denn du wirst vor dem Angesichte des Herrn hergehen, seine Wege zu bereiten,
And thou, child, the Prophet of the Most High Shalt thou be called; For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord, And thou shalt prepare his way;
77 Zu geben Erkenntnis des Heils seinem Volke, in Vergebung ihrer Sünden,
To give the knowledge of salvation to his people In the forgiveness of their sins,
78 Um der herzlichen Barmherzigkeit unseres Gottes willen, durch welche uns besucht hat der Aufgang aus der Höhe,
Through the compassions of the grace of our Aloha; Whereby the morn-splendour shall visit us from on high,
79 Zu leuchten denen, die in Finsternis und Schatten des Todes sitzen, um zu richten unsre Füße auf den Berg des Friedens.
To illumine those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. And to direct our feet into the way of peace.
80 Das Kindlein aber wuchs, und erstarkte im Geist, und war in den Wüsten, bis zu dem Tage seines Auftretens vor Israel.
And the child grew, and was strong in the spirit, and was in the desert till the day of his manifestation unto Isroel.
