Johannes 20
1 Am ersten Tage der Woche aber kommt Maria, die Magdalenerin, frühe, als es noch finster war, zum Grabmal, und siehe den Stein weggenommen vom Grabmal.
BUT in the first in the week came Mariam Magdalitha in the early-morn, (while it was) yet dark, unto the house of burial.
2 Da läuft sie, und kommt zu Simon Petrus und zu dem andern Jünger, den Jesus lieb hatte, und sagt ihnen: Man hat den Herrn weggenommen aus dem Grabmal, und wir wissen nicht, wo man ihn hingelegt hat.
And she saw the stone that it was taken from the sepulchre. And she ran, and came to Shemun Kipha, and to that other disciple, whom Jeshu loved, saying to them, They have taken away our Lord from that house of burial, and I know not where they have laid him.
3 Da ging Petrus und der andere Jünger hinaus, und kamen zu dem Grabmal.
And Shemun went forth, and that other disciple, and they came to the house of burial.
4 Es liefen aber die zwei zusammen, und der andere Jünger lief voraus, schneller als Petrus, und kam zuerst ans Grabmal.
And they ran both of them together; but that disciple ran before Shemun, and came first to the house of burial.
5 Und er bückte sich hinein, und sieht die Binden daliegen; er ging jedoch nicht hinein.
And looking, he saw the cloths lying, but entering he entered not.
6 Simon Petrus nun kommt ihm nach, und geht hinein ins Grab, und sieht die Binden daliegen,
But Shemun came after him, and went into the house of burial, and saw the cloths set,
7 Und das Schweißtuch, das er auf dem Haupte gehabt, nicht bei den Binden liegen, sondern beiseits zusammengewickelt an einem besondern Ort.
and the napkin that had been bound upon his head, not with the cloths, but folded up, and laid apart in one place.
8 Da ging auch der andere Jünger hinein, der zuerst ans Grab gekommen war, und sah es, und glaubte.
Then went in also that disciple who came first to the house of burial, and he saw, and believed.
9 Denn sie verstunden die Schrift noch nicht, daß er von den Toten auferstehen sollte.
For not yet knew they the scriptures, that he was to rise from the dead.
10 So gingen nun die beiden Jünger wieder heim.
And those disciples went again to their place.
11 Maria aber stund am Grab, und weinte außen. Als sie nun weinte, bückte sie sich in das Grab,
But Mariam stood at the sepulchre weeping: and while weeping, she looked into the sepulchre,
12 Und sieht zwei Engel in weißen Kleidern sitzen, einen am Haupt, und einen bei den Füßen, wo der Leichnam Jesu gelegen war.
and saw two angels in white, who were sitting, one at his pillows, and one at his feet, where the body of Jeshu had lain.
13 Und dieselben sagen ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Sagt sie ihnen: Man hat meinen Herrn weggenommen, und ich weiß nicht, wo man ihn hingelegt hat.
And they say to her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 Als sie dieses sagte, wandte sie sich zurück, und sieht Jesus dastehen, und wußte nicht, daß es Jesus ist.
This said she, and turned herself back, and saw Jeshu standing, and knew not that it was Jeshu.
15 Jesus sagt ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Wen suchst du? - Sie meint, es ist der Gärtner, und sagt ihm: Herr, wenn du ihn fortgetragen hast, so sage mir, wo du ihn hingelegt, so will ich ihn holen.
Jeshu saith to her, Woman, why weepest thou? and whom seekest thou? But she thought he was the gardener, and said to him, Sir, if thou have taken him away, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will go (and) take him away.
16 Sagt ihr Jesus: Maria! Sie wandte sich um, und sagte ihm auf Hebräisch: Rabbuni, das heißt: Lehrer!
Jeshu saith to her, Mariam. She turned and saith to him in Hebrew, Rabuni, which is saying, Malphona.
17 Sagt ihr Jesus: Halte mich nicht fest, denn ich bin noch nicht aufgefahren zu meinem Vater. Gehe aber hin zu meinen Brüdern, und sage ihnen: Ich fahre auf zu meinem Vater und euerm Vater, zu meinem Gott und euerm Gott.
Jeshu saith to her, Touch me not; for not yet have I ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and to your Father, to my God, and to your God.
18 Kommt Maria Magdalena, und verkündigt den Jüngern, daß sie den Herrn gesehen, und er ihr solches gesagt habe.
Then went Mariam Magdalitha, and announced to the disciples that she had seen our Lord, and (that) these (words) he had spoken to her.
19 Als es nun Abend war an jenem ersten Tage der Woche, und die Türen verschlossen waren, wo die Jünger sich versammelt hatten, aus Furcht vor den Juden, kam Jesus, und stand in die Mitte, und sagt ihnen: Friede sei mit euch!
WHEN it was the evening of that day which (was) the first in the week, and the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jihudoyee, came Jeshu, stood among them, and said to them, Peace (be) with you.
20 Und als er dies gesagt, zeigte er ihnen seine Hände und Seite. Da wurden die Jünger froh, als sie den Herrn sahen.
This he said, and showed them his hands and his side. And the disciples rejoiced when they saw our Lord.
21 Da sprach Jesus abermal zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch! Gleichwie mich der Vater gesandt hat, sende auch ich euch.
Then said Jeshu unto them, Peace (be) with you: as my Father sent me, I also send you.
22 Und als er dies gesagt hatte, hauchte er sie an, und sagt ihnen: Nehmet hin den heiligen Geist.
And when he had said these, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive the Spirit of Holiness:
23 Welchen ihr die Sünden erlasset, denen sind sie erlassen, und welchen ihr sie behaltet, denen sind sie behalten.
if you forgive sins to a man, they shall be forgiven to him; and if you retain (the sins) of a man, they are retained.
24 Thomas aber, einer von den Zwölfen, der da Zwilling heißt, war nicht bei ihnen, als Jesus kam.
But Thoma, one of the twelve, he who was called the Twin, was not there with them when Jeshu came.
25 Da sagen ihm die andern Jünger: Wir haben den Herrn gesehen. Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ich nicht sehe in seinen Händen die Nägelmale, und lege meine Hand in seine Seite, so werde ich nicht glauben.
And the disciples say to him, We have seen our Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the places of the nails, and put into them my fingers, and extend my hand into his side, I believe not.
26 Und nach acht Tagen waren seine Jünger wiederum drinnen, und Thomas bei ihnen. Kommt Jesus bei verschlossenen Türen, und stund in die Mitte, und sprach: Friede sei mit euch!
AND after eight days again within were the disciples, and Thoma with them. And Jeshu came, while the doors were shut, stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace (be) with you.
27 Dann sagt er dem Thomas: Reiche deinen Finger her, und siehe meine Hände, und reiche deine Hand her, und lege sie in meine Seite, und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig.
And he said to Thoma, Bring thy finger hither and see my hands, and bring thy hand and thrust it into my side, and be not unbelieving but believing.
28 Thomas antwortete, und sagte ihm: Mein Herr und mein Gott!
And Thoma answered and said to him, My Lord, and my God!
29 Sagt ihm Jesus: Weil du mich gesehen hast, hast du geglaubt. Selig sind, die nicht sahen, und doch glaubten.
Jeshu saith to him, Now that thou hast seen, thou hast believed: blessed are they who have not seen me, and have believed.
30 Zwar tat Jesus auch noch viele andere Zeichen vor seinen Jüngern, welche nicht geschrieben sind in diesem Buche.
But many other signs did Jeshu before his disciples: those are not written in this record;
31 Diese aber sind geschrieben, damit ihr glaubet, daß Jesus der Messias ist, der Sohn Gottes, und damit ihr, gläubig geworden, in seinem Namen ewiges Leben habet.
but these are written, that you may believe that Jeshu is the Meshicha, the Son of Aloha, and that when you have believed you may have in his name the life which is eternal.
