Lukas 19
1 Jesus kam dann nach Jericho hinein und zog durch die Stadt hindurch.
Now when Iesus entred and passed through Iericho,
2 Dort wohnte aber ein Mann namens Zachäus, der war ein Oberzöllner und ein reicher Mann.
Beholde, there was a man named Zaccheus, which was the chiefe receiuer of the tribute, and he was riche.
3 Er hätte Jesus gern von Person gesehen, konnte es aber wegen der Volksmenge nicht, weil er klein von Gestalt war.
And he sought to see Iesus, who hee should be, and coulde not for the preasse, because he was of a lowe stature.
4 So eilte er denn auf dem Wege voraus und stieg auf einen Maulbeerfeigenbaum hinauf, um ihn zu sehen; denn dort mußte er vorbeikommen.
Wherefore he ranne before, and climed vp into a wilde figge tree, that he might see him: for he should come that way.
5 Als nun Jesus an die Stelle kam, blickte er in die Höhe und rief ihm zu: »Zachäus! Steige schnell herunter; denn ich muß heute in deinem Hause einkehren.«
And when Iesus came to the place, he looked vp, and saw him, and said vnto him, Zaccheus, come downe at once: for to day I must abide at thine house.
6 Da stieg er schnell herab und nahm ihn mit Freuden bei sich auf.
Then he came downe hastily, and receiued him ioyfully.
7 Und alle, die es sahen, murrten laut und sagten: »Bei einem sündigen Manne ist er eingekehrt, um bei ihm zu herbergen.«
And when all they sawe it, they murmured, saying, that hee was gone in to lodge with a sinfull man.
8 Zachäus aber trat zum Herrn und sagte: »Siehe, Herr, die Hälfte meines Vermögens will ich den Armen geben, und wenn ich jemand in etwas übervorteilt habe, will ich es ihm vierfach ersetzen!«
And Zaccheus stood forth, and said vnto the Lord, Beholde, Lord, the halfe of my goods I giue to the poore: and if I haue taken from any man by forged cauillation, I restore him foure folde.
9 Da sagte Jesus zu ihm: »Heute ist diesem Hause Heil widerfahren, weil ja auch er ein Sohn Abrahams ist.
Then Iesus said to him, This day is saluation come vnto this house, forasmuch as hee is also become the sonne of Abraham.
10 Denn der Menschensohn ist gekommen, das Verlorene zu suchen und zu retten.«
For the Sonne of man is come to seeke, and to saue that which was lost.
11 Als sie dies hörten, fügte er noch ein Gleichnis hinzu, weil er sich in der Nähe von Jerusalem befand und weil sie meinten, das Reich Gottes würde jetzt sofort erscheinen.
And whiles they heard these thinges, hee continued and spake a parable, because hee was neere to Hierusalem, and because also they thought that the kingdom of God should shortly appeare.
12 Er sagte also: »Ein Mann von vornehmer Abkunft reiste in ein fernes Land, um für sich dort die Königswürde zu gewinnen und dann wieder heimzukehren.
He saide therefore, A certaine noble man went into a farre countrey, to receiue for himselfe a kingdome, and so to come againe.
13 Er berief nun zehn seiner Knechte, gab ihnen zehn Minen und sagte zu ihnen: ›Macht Geschäfte (mit dem Gelde) in der Zeit, während ich verreist bin!‹
And he called his ten seruants, and deliuered them ten pieces of money, and sayd vnto them, Occupie till I come.
14 Seine Mitbürger aber haßten ihn und schickten eine Abordnung hinter ihm her, durch die sie erklären ließen: ›Wir wollen diesen Mann nicht als König über uns haben!‹
Nowe his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not haue this man to reigne ouer vs.
15 Als er nun nach Empfang der Königswürde heimkehrte, ließ er jene Knechte, denen er das Geld gegeben hatte, zu sich rufen, um zu erfahren, was für Geschäfte ein jeder gemacht hätte.
And it came to passe, when hee was come againe, and had receiued his kingdome, that he commanded the seruants to be called to him, to whome he gaue his money, that he might knowe what euery man had gained.
16 Da erschien der erste und sagte: ›Herr, dein Pfund hat zehn weitere Pfunde eingebracht.‹
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy piece hath encreased ten pieces.
17 Der Herr antwortete ihm: ›Schön, du guter Knecht! Weil du im Kleinen treu gewesen bist, sollst du die Verwaltung von zehn Städten erhalten.‹
And he sayd vnto him, Well, good seruant: because thou hast bene faithfull in a very litle thing, take thou authoritie ouer ten cities.
18 Dann kam der zweite und sagte: ›Herr, dein Pfund hat fünf Pfunde hinzugewonnen.‹
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy piece hath encreased fiue pieces.
19 Er sagte auch zu diesem: ›Auch du sollst über fünf Städte gesetzt sein!‹
And to the same he sayd, Be thou also ruler ouer fiue cities.
20 Hierauf kam der dritte und sagte: ›Herr, hier ist dein Pfund, das ich in einem Schweißtuch wohlverwahrt gehalten habe;
So the other came, and sayd, Lord, beholde thy piece, which I haue laide vp in a napkin:
21 denn ich hatte Furcht vor dir, weil du ein strenger Mann bist: du hebst ab, was du nicht eingelegt hast, und erntest, was du nicht gesät hast.‹
For I feared thee, because thou art a straight man: thou takest vp, that thou layedst not downe, and reapest that thou diddest not sowe.
22 Da antwortete er ihm: ›Nach deiner eigenen Aussage will ich dir das Urteil sprechen, du nichtswürdiger Knecht! Du wußtest, daß ich ein strenger Mann bin, daß ich abhebe, was ich nicht eingelegt habe, und ernte, was ich nicht gesät habe?
Then he sayde vnto him, Of thine owne mouth will I iudge thee, O euill seruant. Thou knewest that I am a straight man, taking vp that I layd not downe, and reaping that I did not sowe.
23 Warum hast du da mein Geld nicht auf eine Bank gebracht? Dann hätte ich es bei meiner Rückkehr mit Zinsen abgehoben.‹
Wherefore then gauest not thou my money into the banke, that at my coming I might haue required it with vantage?
24 Darauf befahl er den Dabeistehenden: ›Nehmt ihm das Pfund weg und gebt es dem, der die zehn Pfund hat.‹
And he sayd to them that stoode by, Take from him that piece, and giue it him that hath ten pieces.
25 Sie erwiderten ihm: ›Herr, er hat ja schon zehn Pfunde.‹
(And they sayd vnto him, Lord, hee hath ten pieces.)
26 Ich sage euch: Jedem, der da hat, wird (noch dazu) gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch das genommen werden, was er hat.
For I say vnto you, that vnto all them that haue, it shalbe giuen: and from him that hath not, euen that he hath, shalbe taken from him.
27 Doch jene meine Feinde, die mich nicht zum König über sich gewollt haben, führt hierher und macht sie vor meinen Augen nieder!«
Moreouer, those mine enemies, which would not that I should reigne ouer them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 Nach diesen Worten zog Jesus weiter auf dem Wege nach Jerusalem hinauf.
And when he had thus spoken, he went forth before, ascending vp to Hierusalem.
29 Als er nun in die Nähe von Bethphage und Bethanien am sogenannten Ölberge gekommen war, sandte er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab
And it came to passe, when hee was come neere to Bethphage, and Bethania, besides the mount which is called the mount of Oliues, he sent two of his disciples,
30 mit der Weisung: »Geht in das Dorf, das dort vor euch liegt! Wenn ihr hineinkommt, werdet ihr ein Eselfüllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen hat: bindet es los und führt es her!
Saying, Goe ye to the towne which is before you, wherein, assoone as ye are come, ye shall finde a colte tied, whereon neuer man sate: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 Und wenn euch jemand fragen sollte: ›Warum bindet ihr es los?‹, so antwortet ihm: ›Der Herr hat es nötig.‹«
And if any man aske you, why ye loose him, thus shall ye say vnto him, Because the Lord hath neede of him.
32 Als nun die Abgesandten hingegangen waren, fanden sie es so, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte;
So they that were sent, went their way, and found it as he had sayd vnto them.
33 und als sie das Füllen losbanden, sagten dessen Eigentümer zu ihnen: »Wozu bindet ihr das Füllen los?«
And as they were loosing the colte, the owners thereof sayd vnto them, Why loose ye the colte?
34 Sie antworteten: »Der Herr hat es nötig.«
And they sayd, The Lord hath neede of him.
35 Sie führten es darauf zu Jesus, legten ihre Mäntel auf das Füllen und ließen Jesus sich daraufsetzen.
So they brought him to Iesus, and they cast their garments on the colte, and set Iesus thereon.
36 Während er dann weiterzog, breiteten sie ihre Mäntel auf den Weg aus.
And as he went, they spred their clothes in the way.
37 Als er nunmehr an den Abstieg vom Ölberg herankam, begann die gesamte Menge der Jünger freudig Gott mit lauter Stimme um all der Wundertaten willen, die sie gesehen hatten, Lobpreis darzubringen,
And when he was nowe come neere to the going downe of the mount of Oliues, the whole multitude of the disciples began to reioyce, and to prayse God with a loude voyce, for all the great workes that they had seene,
38 indem sie ausriefen: »Gepriesen sei, der da kommt als König im Namen des Herrn! Im Himmel ist Friede und Ehre in Himmelshöhen!«
Saying, Blessed be the King that commeth in the Name of the Lord: peace in heauen, and glory in the highest places.
39 Da sagten einige Pharisäer aus der Volksmenge zu ihm: »Meister, untersage das deinen Jüngern!«
Then some of the Pharises of the companie sayd vnto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 Doch er gab zur Antwort: »Ich sage euch: Wenn diese schwiegen, würden die Steine schreien!«
But he answered, and sayd vnto them, I tell you, that if these should holde their peace, the stones would crie.
41 Als er dann nähergekommen war und die Stadt erblickte, weinte er über sie
And when he was come neere, he behelde the Citie, and wept for it,
42 und sagte: »Wenn doch auch du an diesem Tage erkennen möchtest, was zu deinem Frieden dient! Nun aber ist es deinen Augen verborgen geblieben.
Saying, O if thou haddest euen knowen at the least in this thy day those things, which belong vnto thy peace! but nowe are they hid from thine eyes.
43 Denn es werden Tage über dich kommen, da werden deine Feinde einen Wall gegen dich aufführen, dich ringsum einschließen und dich von allen Seiten bedrängen;
For the dayes shall come vpon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compasse thee round, and keepe thee in on euery side,
44 sie werden dich und deine Kinder in dir dem Erdboden gleichmachen und keinen Stein in dir auf dem andern lassen zur Strafe dafür, daß du die Zeit deiner (gnadenreichen) Heimsuchung nicht erkannt hast.«
And shall make thee euen with ye ground, and thy children which are in thee, and they shall not leaue in thee a stone vpon a stone, because thou knewest not that season of thy visitation.
45 Als er sich darauf in den Tempel begeben hatte, machte er sich daran, die Verkäufer hinauszutreiben,
He went also into the Temple, and began to cast out them that solde therein, and them that bought,
46 indem er ihnen zurief: »Es steht geschrieben: ›Mein Haus soll ein Bethaus sein!‹ Ihr aber habt es zu einer ›Räuberhöhle‹ gemacht.«
Saying vnto them, It is written, Mine house is the house of prayer, but ye haue made it a denne of theeues.
47 Er lehrte dann täglich im Tempel. Die Hohenpriester aber und die Schriftgelehrten samt den Obersten des Volkes trachteten ihm nach dem Leben,
And he taught dayly in the Temple. And the hie Priests and the Scribes, and the chiefe of the people sought to destroy him.
48 fanden jedoch keine Möglichkeit, ihre Absicht gegen ihn auszuführen; denn das gesamte Volk hing an ihm, sooft es ihn hörte.
But they could not finde what they might doe to him: for all the people hanged vpon him when they heard him.
