Matthaeus 5
1 Da er aber das Volk sah, ging er auf einen Berg und setzte sich; und seine Jünger traten zu ihm,
When he sawe the people he went vp into a mountayne and when he was set his disciples came to hym
2 Und er tat seinen Mund auf, lehrte sie und sprach:
and he opened hys mouthe and taught them sayinge:
3 Selig sind, die da geistlich arm sind; denn das Himmelreich ist ihr.
Blessed are the povre in sprete: for theirs is the kyngdome of heven.
4 Selig sind, die da Leid tragen; denn sie sollen getröstet werden.
Blessed are they that morne: for they shalbe conforted.
5 Selig sind die Sanftmütigen; denn sie werden das Erdreich besitzen.
Blessed are the meke: for they shall inheret the erth.
6 Selig sind, die da hungert und dürstet nach der Gerechtigkeit; denn sie sollen satt werden.
Blessed are they which honger and thurst for rightewesnes: for they shalbe filled.
7 Selig sind die Barmherzigen; denn sie werden Barmherzigkeit erlangen.
Blessed are ye mercifull: for they shall obteyne mercy.
8 Selig sind, die reines Herzens sind; denn sie werden Gott schauen.
Blessed are the pure in herte: for they shall se God.
9 Selig sind die Friedfertigen; denn sie werden Gottes Kinder heißen.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shalbe called the chyldren of God.
10 Selig sind, die um Gerechtigkeit willen verfolgt werden; denn das Himmelreich ist ihr.
Blessed are they which suffre persecucio for rightwesnes sake: for theirs ys the kyngdome of heuen.
11 Selig seid ihr, wenn euch die Menschen um meinetwillen schmähen und verfolgen und reden allerlei Übles gegen euch, so sie daran lügen.
Blessed are ye when men reuyle you and persecute you and shall falsly say all manner of yvell saynges agaynst you for my sake.
12 Seid fröhlich und getrost; es wird euch im Himmel wohl belohnt werden. Denn also haben sie verfolgt die Propheten, die vor euch gewesen sind.
Reioyce and be glad for greate is youre rewarde in heven. For so persecuted they ye Prophetes which were before youre dayes.
13 Ihr seid das Salz der Erde. Wo nun das Salz dumm wird, womit soll man's salzen? Es ist hinfort zu nichts nütze, denn das man es hinausschütte und lasse es die Leute zertreten.
ye are ye salt of the erthe: but and yf ye salt have lost hir saltnes what can be salted ther with? It is thence forthe good for nothynge but to be cast oute and to be troade vnder fote of men.
14 Ihr seid das Licht der Welt. Es kann die Stadt, die auf einem Berge liegt, nicht verborgen sein.
Ye are ye light of the worlde. A cite yt is set on an hill cannot be hid
15 Man zündet auch nicht ein Licht an und setzt es unter einen Scheffel, sondern auf einen Leuchter; so leuchtet es denn allen, die im Hause sind.
nether do men lyght a cadell and put it vnder a busshell but on a candelstick and it lighteth all that are in the house.
16 Also laßt euer Licht leuchten vor den Leuten, daß sie eure guten Werke sehen und euren Vater im Himmel preisen.
Let youre light so shyne before men yt they maye se youre good workes and glorify youre father which is in heven.
17 Ihr sollt nicht wähnen, daß ich gekommen bin, das Gesetz oder die Propheten aufzulösen; ich bin nicht gekommen, aufzulösen, sondern zu erfüllen.
Thinke not yt I am come to destroye the lawe or the Prophets: no I am nott come to destroye them but to fulfyll them.
18 Denn ich sage euch wahrlich: Bis daß Himmel und Erde zergehe, wird nicht zergehen der kleinste Buchstabe noch ein Tüttel vom Gesetz, bis daß es alles geschehe.
For truely I saye vnto you till heven and erth perisshe one iott or one tytle of the lawe shall not scape tyll all be fulfilled.
19 Wer nun eines von diesen kleinsten Geboten auflöst und lehrt die Leute also, der wird der Kleinste heißen im Himmelreich; wer es aber tut und lehrt, der wird groß heißen im Himmelreich.
Whosoever breaketh one of these lest commaundmentes and teacheth men so he shalbe called the leest in the kyngdome of heve. But whosoever obserueth and teacheth ye same shal be called greate in the kyngdome of heven.
20 Denn ich sage euch: Es sei denn eure Gerechtigkeit besser als der Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, so werdet ihr nicht in das Himmelreich kommen.
For I saye vnto you except youre rightewesnes excede the righetewesnes of ye Scribes and Pharises ye canot entre into ye kyngdome of heven.
21 Ihr habt gehört, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: “Du sollst nicht töten; wer aber tötet, der soll des Gerichts schuldig sein.”
Ye have herde howe it was sayd vnto the of ye olde tyme: Thou shalt not kyll. For whoso ever kylleth shall be in daunger of iudgemet.
22 Ich aber sage euch: Wer mit seinem Bruder zürnet, der ist des Gerichts schuldig; wer aber zu seinem Bruder sagt: Racha! der ist des Rats schuldig; wer aber sagt: Du Narr! der ist des höllischen Feuers schuldig. (Geenna g1067)
But I say vnto you whosoever is angre with hys brother shalbe in daunger of iudgement. Whosoeuer sayeth vnto his brother Racha shalbe in dauger of a cousell. But whosoeuer sayeth thou fole shalbe in dauger of hell fyre. (Geenna g1067)
23 Darum, wenn du deine Gabe auf dem Altar opferst und wirst allda eingedenk, daß dein Bruder etwas wider dich habe,
Therfore whe thou offrest thy gifte at the altare and their remembrest that thy brother hath ought agaynst the:
24 so laß allda vor dem Altar deine Gabe und gehe zuvor hin und versöhne dich mit deinem Bruder, und alsdann komm und opfere deine Gabe.
leue there thyne offrynge before the altre and go thy waye first and be reconcyled to thy brother and then come and offre thy gyfte.
25 Sei willfährig deinem Widersacher bald, dieweil du noch bei ihm auf dem Wege bist, auf daß dich der Widersacher nicht dermaleinst überantworte dem Richter, und der Richter überantworte dich dem Diener, und wirst in den Kerker geworfen.
Agre with thyne adversary quicklye whyles thou arte in ye waye with hym lest that adversary deliver ye to ye iudge and ye iudge delivre ye to ye minister and the thou be cast into preson.
26 Ich sage dir wahrlich: Du wirst nicht von dannen herauskommen, bis du auch den letzten Heller bezahlest.
I say vnto ye verely: thou shalt not come out thece till thou have payed ye utmost farthige.
27 Ihr habt gehört, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: “Du sollst nicht ehebrechen.”
Ye haue hearde howe it was sayde to the of olde tyme: Thou shalt not comitt advoutrie.
28 Ich aber sage euch: Wer ein Weib ansieht, ihrer zu begehren, der hat schon mit ihr die Ehe gebrochen in seinem Herzen.
But I say vnto you that whosoeuer looketh on a wyfe lustynge after her hathe comitted advoutrie with hir alredy in his hert.
29 Ärgert dich aber dein rechtes Auge, so reiß es aus und wirf's von dir. Es ist dir besser, daß eins deiner Glieder verderbe, und nicht der ganze Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
Wherfore yf thy right eye offende ye plucke hym out and caste him from the. Better it is for the yt one of thy membres perisshe then that thy hole bodye shuld be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
30 Ärgert dich deine rechte Hand, so haue sie ab und wirf sie von dir. Es ist dir besser, daß eins deiner Glieder verderbe, und nicht der ganze Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
Also if thy right honde offend ye cut hym of and caste hym from the. Better yt ys that one of thy membres perisshe then that all thy body shulde be caste in to hell. (Geenna g1067)
31 Es ist auch gesagt: “Wer sich von seinem Weibe scheidet, der soll ihr geben einen Scheidebrief.”
It ys sayd whosoever put awaye his wyfe let hym geve her a testymonyall also of the devorcement.
32 Ich aber sage euch: Wer sich von seinem Weibe scheidet (es sei denn um Ehebruch), der macht, daß sie die Ehe bricht; und wer eine Abgeschiedene freit, der bricht die Ehe.
But I say vnto you: whosoever put awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) causeth her to breake matrymony. And whosoever maryeth her that is devorsed breaketh wedlocke.
33 Ihr habt weiter gehört, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: “Du sollst keinen falschen Eid tun und sollst Gott deinen Eid halten.”
Agayne ye haue hearde how it was sayd to the of olde tyme thou shalt not forsuere thy selfe but shalt performe thyne othe to God.
34 Ich aber sage euch, daß ihr überhaupt nicht schwören sollt, weder bei dem Himmel, denn er ist Gottes Stuhl,
But I saye vnto you swere not at all nether by heue for it ys Goddes seate:
35 noch bei der Erde, denn sie ist seiner Füße Schemel, noch bei Jerusalem, denn sie ist des großen Königs Stadt.
nor yet by the erth for it is his fote stole: nether by Ierusalem for it ys ye cyte of yt greate kynge:
36 Auch sollst du nicht bei deinem Haupt schwören, denn du vermagst nicht ein einziges Haar schwarz oder weiß zu machen.
nether shalt thou sweare by thy heed because thou canst not make one white heer or blacke:
37 Eure Rede aber sei: Ja, ja; nein, nein. Was darüber ist, das ist vom Übel.
But your comunicacion shalbe ye ye: nay nay. For whatsoeuer is more then yt cometh of yvell.
38 Ihr habt gehört, daß da gesagt ist: “Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn.”
Ye have hearde how it ys sayd an eye for an eye: a tothe for a tothe.
39 Ich aber sage euch, daß ihr nicht widerstreben sollt dem Übel; sondern, so dir jemand einen Streich gibt auf deinen rechten Backen, dem biete den andern auch dar.
But I saye to you that ye resist not wroge. But whosoever geve the a blowe on thy right cheke tourne to him the other.
40 Und so jemand mit dir rechten will und deinen Rock nehmen, dem laß auch den Mantel.
And yf eny man will sue the at the lawe and take awaye thy coote let hym have thy cloocke also.
41 Und so dich jemand nötigt eine Meile, so gehe mit ihm zwei.
And whosoever wyll copell the to goo a myle goo wyth him twayne.
42 Gib dem, der dich bittet, und wende dich nicht von dem, der dir abborgen will.
Geve to him that axeth and fro him that wolde borowe tourne not awaye.
43 Ihr habt gehört, daß gesagt ist: “Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben und deinen Feind hassen.”
Ye have hearde how it is sayde: thou shalt love thyne neghbour and hate thine enimy.
44 Ich aber sage euch: Liebet eure Feinde; segnet, die euch fluchen; tut wohl denen, die euch hassen; bittet für die, so euch beleidigen und verfolgen,
But I saye vnto you love youre enimies. Blesse the that coursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Praye for them which doo you wronge and persecute you
45 auf daß ihr Kinder seid eures Vater im Himmel; denn er läßt seine Sonne aufgehen über die Bösen und über die Guten und läßt regnen über Gerechte und Ungerechte.
that ye maye be ye chyldern of youre father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sunne to aryse on ye yvell and on the good and sendeth his reyn on the iuste and vniuste.
46 Denn so ihr liebet, die euch lieben, was werdet ihr für Lohn haben? Tun nicht dasselbe auch die Zöllner?
For yf ye love them which love you: what rewarde shall ye have? Doo not the Publicans euen so?
47 Und so ihr euch nur zu euren Brüdern freundlich tut, was tut ihr Sonderliches? Tun nicht die Zöllner auch also?
And yf ye be frendly to youre brethren onlye: what singuler thynge doo ye? Do not the Publicans lyke wyse?
48 Darum sollt ihr vollkommen sein, gleichwie euer Vater im Himmel vollkommen ist.
ye shall therfore be perfecte eve as youre father which is in heauen is perfecte.
