Matthaeus 13
1 An demselbigen Tage ging Jesus aus dem Hause und setzte sich an das Meer.
On that day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.
2 Und es versammelte sich viel Volks zu ihm, also daß er in das Schiff trat und saß. Und alles Volk stund am Ufer.
A very large crowd gathered around him, so he got into a boat and sat in it, while the whole crowd stood on the beach.
3 Und er redete zu ihnen mancherlei durch Gleichnisse und sprach: Siehe, es ging ein Sämann aus zu säen.
Then Jesus said many things to them in parables. He said, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow seed.
4 Und indem er säete, fiel etliches an den Weg; da kamen die Vögel und fraßen's auf.
As he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Etliches fiel in das Steinige; da es nicht viel Erde hatte, und ging bald auf, darum daß es nicht tiefe Erde hatte.
Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil. Immediately they sprang up, because the soil had no depth.
6 Als aber die Sonne aufging, verwelkte es, und dieweil es nicht Wurzel hatte, ward es dürr.
But when the sun had risen, they were scorched because they had no root, and they withered away.
7 Etliches fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen wuchsen auf und erstickten's.
Other seeds fell among the thorn plants. The thorn plants grew up and choked them.
8 Etliches fiel auf ein gut Land und trug Frucht, etliches hundertfältig, etliches sechzigfältig, etliches dreißigfältig.
Other seeds fell on good soil and produced a crop, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.
9 Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
He who has ears, let him listen.”
10 Und die Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Warum redest du zu ihnen durch Gleichnisse?
The disciples came and said to Jesus, “Why do you talk to the crowd in parables?”
11 Er antwortete und sprach: Euch ist's gegeben, daß ihr, das Geheimnis des Himmelreichs vernehmet; diesen aber ist's nicht gegeben.
Jesus answered and said to them, “You have been given the privilege of understanding mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben, daß er die Fülle habe; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen, was er hat.
For whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Darum rede ich zu ihnen durch Gleichnisse. Denn mit sehenden Augen sehen sie nicht und mit hörenden Ohren hören sie nicht; denn sie verstehen es nicht.
This is why I talk to them in parables: Though they are seeing, they do not see; and though they are hearing, they do not hear, or understand.
14 Und über ihnen wird die Weissagung Jesajas erfüllet, die da sagt: Mit den Ohren werdet ihr hören und werdet es nicht verstehen, und mit sehenden Augen werdet ihr sehen und werdet es nicht vernehmen.
To them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, that which says, 'While hearing you will hear, but you will in no way understand; while seeing you will see, but you will in no way perceive.
15 Denn dieses Volkes Herz ist verstockt, und ihre Ohren hören übel, und ihre Augen schlummern, auf daß sie nicht dermaleinst mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren, daß ich ihnen hülfe.
For this people's heart has become dull, and they are hard of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, so they should not see with their eyes, or hear with their ears, or understand with their hearts, so they would turn again, and I would heal them.'
16 Aber selig sind eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
17 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Viel Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben's nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben's nicht gehöret.
Truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things that you see, and did not see them. They desired to hear the things that you hear, and did not hear them.
18 So höret nun ihr dieses Gleichnis von dem Sämann!
Listen then to the parable of the farmer who sowed his seed.
19 Wenn jemand das Wort von dem Reich höret und nicht verstehet, so kommt der Arge und reißet es hin, was da gesäet ist in sein Herz; und der ist's, der am Wege gesäet ist.
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom but does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the seed that was sown beside the road.
20 Der aber auf das Steinige gesäet ist, der ist's, wenn jemand das Wort höret und dasselbige bald aufnimmt mit Freuden.
What was sown on rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
21 Aber er hat nicht Wurzel in ihm, sondern er ist wetterwendisch; wenn sich Trübsal und Verfolgung erhebt um des Worts willen, so ärgert er sich bald.
yet he has no root in himself and he endures for a while. When tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, he quickly falls away.
22 Der aber unter die Dornen gesäet ist, der ist's, wenn jemand das Wort höret und die Sorge dieser Welt und Betrug des Reichtums erstickt das Wort und bringet nicht Frucht. (aiōn g165)
What was sown among the thorn plants, this is the person who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 Der aber in das gute Land gesäet ist, der ist's, wenn jemand das Wort höret und verstehet es und dann auch Frucht bringet; und etlichen trägt hundertfältig, etlicher aber sechzigfältig, etlicher dreißigfältig.
What was sown on the good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands it. He bears fruit and makes a crop, some yielding one hundred times as much as was planted, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.”
24 Er legte ihnen ein ander Gleichnis vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Menschen, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säete.
Jesus presented another parable to them. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25 Da aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säete Unkraut zwischen den Weizen und ging davon.
But while people slept, his enemy came and also sowed weeds among the wheat and then went away.
26 Da nun das Kraut wuchs und Frucht brachte, da fand sich auch das Unkraut.
When the blades sprouted and then produced their crop, then the weeds appeared also.
27 Da traten die Knechte zu dem Hausvater und sprachen: HERR, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesäet? Woher hat er denn das Unkraut?
The servants of the landowner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How does it now have weeds?'
28 Er sprach zu ihnen: Das hat der Feind getan. Da sprachen die Knechte: Willst du denn, daß wir hingehen und es ausjäten?
He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'So do you want us to go and pull them out?'
29 Er aber sprach: Nein, auf daß ihr nicht zugleich den Weizen mit ausraufet, so ihr das Unkraut ausjätet.
The landowner said, 'No. Because while you are pulling out the weeds, you might uproot the wheat with them.
30 Lasset beides miteinander wachsen bis zur Ernte; und um der Ernte Zeit will ich zu den Schnittern sagen: Sammelt zuvor das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündlein, daß man es verbrenne; aber den Weizen sammelt mir in meine Scheuern.
Let both grow together until the harvest. At the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First pull out the weeds and tie them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”'”
31 Ein ander Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und säete auf seinen Acker,
Then Jesus presented another parable to them. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field.
32 welches das kleinste ist unter allem Samen; wenn es aber erwächst, so ist es das größte unter dem Kohl und wird ein Baum, daß die Vögel unter dem Himmel kommen und wohnen unter seinen Zweigen.
This seed is indeed the smallest of all seeds. But when it has grown, it is greater than the garden plants. It becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
33 Ein ander Gleichnis redete er zu ihnen: Das Himmelreich ist einem Sauerteig gleich, den ein Weib nahm und vermengete ihn unter drei Scheffel Mehl, bis daß es gar durchsäuert ward.
Jesus then told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until all the dough had risen.”
34 Solches alles redete Jesus durch Gleichnisse zu dem Volk und ohne Gleichnisse redete er nicht zu ihnen,
All these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; and he said nothing to them without a parable.
35 auf daß erfüllet würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten, der da spricht: Ich will meinen Mund auftun in Gleichnissen und will aussprechen die Heimlichkeiten von Anfang der Welt.
This was in order that what had been said through the prophet might come true, when he said, “I will open my mouth in parables. I will say things that were hidden from the foundation of the world.”
36 Da ließ Jesus das Volk von sich und kam heim. Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Deute uns dieses Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker!
Then Jesus left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”
37 Er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Des Menschen Sohn ist's, der da guten Samen säet.
Jesus answered and said, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 Der Acker ist die Welt. Der gute Same sind die Kinder des Reichs. Das Unkraut sind die Kinder der Bosheit.
The field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
39 Der Feind, der sie säet, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte ist das Ende der Welt. Die Schnitter sind die Engel. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)
40 Gleichwie man nun das Unkraut ausjätet und mit Feuer verbrennet, so wird's auch am Ende dieser Welt gehen. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, as the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. (aiōn g165)
41 Des Menschen Sohn wird seine Engel senden, und sie werden sammeln aus seinem Reich alle Ärgernisse und die da Unrecht tun,
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all the things that cause sin and those who commit iniquity.
42 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird sein Heulen und Zähneklappen.
They will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
43 Dann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in ihres Vaters Reich. Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
Then will the righteous people shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him listen.
44 Abermal ist gleich das Himmelreich einem verborgenen Schatz im Acker, welchen ein Mensch fand und verbarg ihn und ging hin vor Freuden über denselbigen und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte den Acker.
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. A man found it and hid it. In his joy he goes, sells everything he possesses, and buys that field.
45 Abermal ist gleich das Himmelreich einem Kaufmann, der gute Perlen suchte.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a merchant looking for valuable pearls.
46 Und da er eine köstliche Perle fand, ging er hin und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte dieselbige.
When he found one pearl of very great value, he went and sold everything that he possessed and bought it.
47 Abermal ist gleich das Himmelreich einem Netz, das ins Meer geworfen ist, damit man allerlei Gattung fänget.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea, and that gathered creatures of every kind.
48 Wenn es aber voll ist, so ziehen sie es heraus an das Ufer, sitzen und lesen die guten in ein Gefäß zusammen; aber die faulen werfen sie weg.
When it was filled, the fishermen drew it up on the beach. Then they sat down and gathered the good things into containers, but the worthless things they threw away.
49 Also wird es auch am Ende der Welt gehen. Die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen von den Gerechten scheiden (aiōn g165)
It will be this way at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous. (aiōn g165)
50 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird Heulen und Zähneklappen sein.
They will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
51 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Sie sprachen: Ja, HERR.
Have you understood all these things?” The disciples said to him, “Yes.”
52 Da sprach er: Darum, ein jeglicher Schriftgelehrter, zum Himmelreich gelehrt, ist gleich einem Hausvater, der aus seinem Schatz Neues und Altes hervorträgt.
Then Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is the owner of a house, who draws out old and new things from his treasure.”
53 Und es begab sich da Jesus diese Gleichnisse vollendet hatte, ging er von dannen
Then it came about that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from that place.
54 und kam in sein Vaterland und lehrete sie in ihren Schulen, also auch, daß sie sich entsetzten und sprachen: Woher kommt diesem solche Weisheit und Taten?
Then Jesus entered his own region and taught the people in their synagogue. The result was that they were astonished and said, “Where does this man get his wisdom and these miracles from?
55 Ist er nicht eines Zimmermanns Sohn? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria und seine Brüder Jakob und Joses und Simon und Judas?
Is not this man the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? Are not his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?
56 Und seine Schwestern, sind sie nicht alle bei uns? Woher kommt ihm denn das alles?
Are not all his sisters with us? Where did he get all these things?”
57 Und ärgerten sich an ihm. Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet gilt nirgend weniger denn in seinem Vaterlande und in seinem Hause.
They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own family.”
58 Und er tat daselbst nicht viel Zeichen um ihres Unglaubens willen.
He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
