Lukas 17
1 Er sprach aber zu seinen Jüngern: Es ist unmöglich, daß nicht Ärgernisse kommen; wehe aber dem, durch welchen sie kommen!
And He said to the disciples, “It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but woe [to him] through whom they come;
2 Es wäre ihm nützer, daß man einen Mühlstein an seinen Hals hängete und würfe ihn ins Meer, denn daß er dieser Kleinen einen ärgert.
it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put around his neck, and he has been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Hütet euch! So dein Bruder an dir sündiget, so strafe ihn; und so er sich bessert, vergib ihm.
Take heed to yourselves, and if your brother may sin in regard to you, rebuke him, and if he may change his mind, forgive him,
4 Und wenn er siebenmal des Tages an dir sündigen würde und siebenmal des Tages wieder käme zu dir und spräche: Es reuet mich, so sollst du ihm vergeben.
and if seven times in the day he may sin against you, and seven times in the day may return to you, saying, I change my mind, you will forgive him.”
5 Und die Apostel sprachen zu dem HERRN: Stärke uns den Glauben!
And the apostles said to the LORD, “Add to us faith”;
6 Der HERR aber sprach: Wenn ihr Glauben habt als ein Senfkorn und saget zu diesem Maulbeerbaum: Reiß dich aus und versetze dich ins Meer, so wird er euch gehorsam sein.
and the LORD said, “If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you would have said to this sycamine, Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.
7 Welcher ist unter euch, der einen Knecht hat, der ihm pflüget oder das Vieh weidet, wenn er heimkommt vom Felde, daß er ihm sage: Gehe bald hin und setze dich zu Tische?
But who is he of you—having a servant plowing or feeding—who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come, recline at once?
8 Ist's nicht also, daß er zu ihm saget: Richte zu, daß ich zu Abend esse; schürze dich und diene mir, bis ich esse und trinke; danach sollst du auch essen und trinken?
But will not [rather] say to him, Prepare what I may dine, and having girded yourself around, minister to me, until I eat and drink, and after these things you will eat and drink?
9 Danket er auch demselbigen Knechte, daß er getan hat, was ihm befohlen war? Ich meine es nicht.
Does he have favor to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.
10 Also auch ihr, wenn ihr alles getan habt, was euch befohlen ist, so sprechet: Wir sind unnütze Knechte; wir haben getan, was wir zu tun schuldig waren.
So also you, when you may have done all the things directed you, say, We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do we have done.”
11 Und es begab sich, da er reisete gen Jerusalem, zog er mitten durch Samarien und Galiläa.
And it came to pass, in His going on to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,
12 Und als er in einen Markt kam, begegneten ihm zehn aussätzige Männer, die stunden von ferne
and He entering into a certain village, there ten leprous men met Him, who stood far off,
13 und erhuben ihre Stimme und sprachen: Jesu, lieber Meister, erbarme dich unser!
and they lifted up the voice, saying, “Jesus, Master, deal kindly with us”;
14 Und da er sie sah, sprach er zu ihnen: Gehet hin und zeiget euch den Priestern. Und es geschah, da sie hingingen, wurden sie rein.
and having seen [them], He said to them, “Having gone on, show yourselves to the priests”; and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,
15 Einer aber unter ihnen, da er sah, daß er gesund worden war, kehrete er um und preisete Gott mit lauter Stimme
and one of them having seen that he was healed turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,
16 und fiel auf sein Angesicht zu seinen Füßen und dankete ihm. Und das war ein Samariter.
and he fell on [his] face at His feet, giving thanks to Him, and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus aber antwortete und sprach: Sind ihrer nicht zehn rein worden? Wo sind aber die Neune?
And Jesus answering said, “Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine—where?
18 Hat sich sonst keiner funden, der wieder umkehrete und, gäbe Gott die Ehre, denn dieser Fremdling?
There were none found who turned back to give glory to God, except this foreigner”;
19 Und er sprach zu ihm: Stehe auf, gehe hin! Dein Glaube hat dir geholfen.
and He said to him, “Having risen, be going on, your faith has saved you.”
20 Da er aber gefraget ward von der Pharisäern: Wann kommt das Reich Gottes? antwortete er ihnen und sprach: Das Reich Gottes kommt nicht mit äußerlichen Gebärden.
And having been questioned by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God comes, He answered them and said, “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
21 Man wird nicht sagen: Siehe hier oder da ist es! Denn sehet, das Reich Gottes ist inwendig in euch.
nor will they say, Behold, here; or, Behold, there; for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”
22 Er sprach aber zu den Jüngern: Es wird die Zeit kommen, daß ihr werdet begehren zu sehen einen Tag des Menschensohns, und werdet ihn nicht sehen,
And He said to His disciples, “Days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man and you will not behold [it];
23 Und sie werden zu euch sagen: Siehe hier, siehe da! Gehet nicht hin und folget auch nicht!
and they will say to you, Behold, here; or, Behold, there; you may not go away, nor follow;
24 Denn wie der Blitz oben vom Himmel blitzet und leuchtet über alles, was unter dem Himmel ist, also wird des Menschen Sohn an seinem Tage sein.
for as the lightning is flashing out of one [part] under the sky [and] shines to the other [part] under the sky, so will the Son of Man also be in His day;
25 Zuvor aber muß er viel leiden und verworfen werden von diesem Geschlechte.
and first it is necessary for Him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.
26 Und wie es geschah zu den Zeiten Noahs, so wird's auch geschehen in den Tagen des Menschensohns:
And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man;
27 sie aßen, sie tranken, sie freieten, sie ließen sich freien bis auf den Tag, da Noah in die Arche ging, und kam die Sintflut und brachte sie alle um.
they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, and the flood came, and destroyed all;
28 Desselbigengleichen, wie es geschah zu den Zeiten Lots: sie aßen, sie tranken, sie kauften, sie verkauften, sie pflanzten, sie baueten.
in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
29 An dem Tage aber, da Lot aus Sodom ging, da regnete es Feuer und Schwefel vom Himmel und brachte sie alle um.
and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from the sky, and destroyed all.
30 Auf diese Weise wird's auch gehen an dem Tage; wenn des Menschen Sohn soll offenbaret werden.
According to these things it will be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;
31 An demselbigen Tage, wer auf dem Dache ist und sein Hausrat in dem Hause, der steige nicht hernieder, dasselbige zu holen. Desselbigengleichen, wer auf dem Felde ist, der wende nicht um nach dem, das hinter ihm ist.
in that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his vessels in the house, do not let him come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, do not let him turn backward;
32 Gedenket an des Lots Weib!
remember the wife of Lot.
33 Wer da suchet seine Seele zu erhalten, der wird sie verlieren; und wer sie verlieren wird, der wird ihr zum Leben helfen.
Whoever may seek to save his life, will lose it; and whoever may lose it, will preserve it.
34 Ich sage euch: In derselbigen Nacht werden zwei auf einem Bette liegen; einer wird angenommen, der andere wird verlassen werden.
I say to you, in that night there will be two [men] on one bed: one will be taken, and the other will be left;
35 Zwo werden mahlen miteinander; eine wird angenommen, die andere wird verlassen werden.
two [women] will be grinding at the same place together: one will be taken, and the other will be left;
36 zwei werden auf dem Felde sein; einer wird angenommen, der andere wird verlassen werden.
[[two [men] will be in the field: one will be taken, and the other left.”]]
37 Und sie antworteten und sprachen zu ihm: HERR, wo da? Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wo das Aas ist, da sammeln sich die Adler.
And they answering say to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “Where the body [is], there the eagles will be gathered together.”
