1 Dies ist das Buch von des Menschen Geschlecht. Da Gott den Menschen schuf, machte er ihn nach dem Gleichnis Gottes
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created humankind, he made him in God's likeness.
2 und schuf sie ein Männlein und Fräulein; und segnete sie und hieß ihren Namen Mensch zur Zeit, da sie geschaffen wurden.
He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name "humankind" on the day when they were created.
3 Und Adam war hundertunddreißig Jahre alt und zeugete einen Sohn. der seinem Bilde ähnlich war, und hieß ihn Seth;
Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
4 und lebte danach achthundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were seven hundred years, and he became the father of sons and daughters.
5 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertunddreißig Jahre, und starb.
All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, then he died.
6 Seth war hundertundfünf Jahre alt und zeugte Enos;
Seth lived two hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh.
7 und lebte danach achthundertundsieben Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh seven hundred and seven years, and fathered sons and daughters.
8 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertundzwölf Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, then he died.
9 Enos war neunzig Jahre alt und zeugete Kenan;
Enosh lived one hundred and ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
10 und lebte danach achthundertundfünfzehn Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and fathered sons and daughters.
11 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertundfünf Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, then he died.
12 Kenan war siebenzig Jahre alt und zeugete Mahalaleel;
Kenan lived one hundred and seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.
13 und lebte danach achthundertundvierzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel seven hundred and forty years, and fathered sons and daughters
14 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertundzehn Jahre, und starb.
and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, then he died.
15 Mahalaleel war fünfundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Jared;
Mahalalel lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.
16 und lebte danach achthundertunddreißig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared seven hundred and thirty years, and fathered sons and daughters.
17 daß sein ganzes Alter ward achthundertfünfundneunzig Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, then he died.
18 Jared war hundertundzweiundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Henoch;
Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.
19 und lebte danach achthundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.
20 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertzweiundsechzig Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, then he died.
21 Henoch war fünfundsechzig Jahre alt und zeugete Methusalah.
Enoch lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.
22 Und nachdem er Methusalah gezeuget hatte, blieb er in einem göttlichen Leben dreihundert Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Enoch walked with God after he became the father of Methuselah two hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.
23 daß sein ganzes Alter ward dreihundertfünfundsechzig Jahre.
All the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Und dieweil er ein göttlich Leben führete, nahm ihn Gott hinweg, und ward nicht mehr gesehen.
Enoch walked with God, and then he was not there, for God took him.
25 Methusalah war hundertsiebenundachtzig Jahre alt und zeugete Lamech;
Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
26 und lebte danach siebenhundertzweiundachtzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and fathered sons and daughters.
27 daß sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertneunundsechzig Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, then he died.
28 Lamech war hundertzweiundachtzig Jahre alt und zeugete einen Sohn
Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,
29 und hieß ihn Noah und sprach: Der wird uns trösten in unserer Mühe und Arbeit auf Erden, die der HERR verflucht hat.
and he named him Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us in our labor and in the hard work of our hands, because of the ground which God has cursed."
30 Danach lebte er fünfhundertfünfundneunzig Jahre und zeugete Söhne und Töchter;
Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and fathered sons and daughters.
31 daß sein ganzes Alter ward siebenhundertsiebenundsiebenzig Jahre, und starb.
All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, then he died.
32 Noah war fünfhundert Jahre alt und zeugete Sem, Ham und Japheth.
Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
