5 Mose 9

1 Höre, Israel, du wirst heute über den Jordan gehen, daß du einkommest, einzunehmen die Völker, die größer und stärker sind denn du, große Städte, vermauert bis in den Himmel,

Here thou, Israel; thou schalt passe Jordan to dai, that thou welde mooste naciouns, and strengere than thou; grete citees, and wallid `til to heuene;

2 ein groß, hoch Volk, die Kinder Enakim, die du erkannt hast, von denen du auch gehöret hast: Wer kann wider die Kinder Enaks bestehen?

a greet puple, and hiy; the sones of Enachym, whiche thi silf `siest, and herdist, whiche no man may ayenstonde in the contrarie part.

3 So sollst du wissen heute, daß der HERR, dein Gott, gehet vor dir her, ein verzehrend Feuer. Er wird sie vertilgen und wird sie unterwerfen vor dir her und wird sie vertreiben und umbringen bald, wie dir der HERR geredet hat.

Therfor thou schalt wite to dai, that thi Lord God hym silf schal passe bifor thee; he is a fier deuourynge and wastynge, that schal al to breke hem, and schal do awei, and destrie bifor thi face swiftli, as he spak to thee.

4 Wenn nun der HERR, dein Gott, sie ausgestoßen hat vor dir her, so sprich nicht in deinem Herzen: Der HERR hat mich hereingeführet, das Land einzunehmen, um meiner Gerechtigkeit willen, so doch der HERR diese Heiden vertreibet vor dir her um ihres gottlosen Wesens willen.

Seie thou not in thin herte, whanne thi Lord God hath do hem awey in thi siyt, For my riytfulnesse the Lord brouyte me yn, that Y schulde welde this lond; sithen these naciouns ben doon awey for her wickidnessis.

5 Denn du kommst nicht herein, ihr Land einzunehmen, um deiner Gerechtigkeit und deines aufrichtigen Herzens willen, sondern der HERR, dein Gott, vertreibt diese Heiden um ihres gottlosen Wesens willen, daß er das Wort halte, das der HERR geschworen hat deinen Vätern, Abraham, Isaak und Jakob.

For not for thi riytfulnessis, and equyte of thin herte thou schalt entre that thou welde the lond `of hem; but for thei diden wickidli, thei weren doon awey, whanne thou entridist, and that the Lord schulde fille his word which he bihiyte vndur an ooth to thi fadris, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

6 So wisse nun, daß der HERR, dein Gott, dir nicht um deiner Gerechtigkeit willen dies gute Land gibt einzunehmen, sintemal du ein halsstarrig Volk bist.

Therfor wite thou that not for thi riytfulnesses thi Lord God yaf to thee this beste lond in to possessioun, sithen thou art a puple of hardeste nol.

7 Gedenke und vergiß nicht, wie du den HERRN, deinen Gott, erzürnetest in der Wüste. Von dem Tage an, da du aus Ägyptenland zogest, bis ihr kommen seid an diesen Ort, seid ihr ungehorsam gewesen dem HERRN.

Haue thou mynde, and foryete not, hou in the wildirnesse thou terridist thi Lord God to greet wraththe; fro that dai in which thou yedist out of Egipt `til to this place, thou striuedist euere ayens the Lord.

8 Denn in Horeb erzürnetet ihr den HERRN, also daß er vor Zorn euch vertilgen wollte;

For whi also in Oreb thou terridist hym, and he was wrooth, and wolde do thee awei, whanne Y stiede in to the hil,

9 da ich auf den Berg gegangen war, die steinernen Tafeln zu empfahen, die Tafeln des Bundes, den der HERR mit euch machte, und ich vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte auf dem Berge blieb und kein Brot aß und kein Wasser trank,

that Y schulde take two tablis of stoon, the tablis of couenaunt which the Lord made with you, and Y continuede in the hil fourti daies and nyytis, and Y eet not breed, and Y drank not watir.

10 und mir der HERR die zwo steinernen Tafeln gab, mit dem Finger Gottes beschrieben, und darauf alle Worte, wie der HERR mit euch aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge geredet hatte am Tage der Versammlung.

And the Lord yaf to me, twey tablis of stoon, euer either wrytun with Goddis fyngur, and conteynynge alle the wordis whiche he spak to you in the hil, fro the myddis of the fier, whanne the cumpany of puple was gaderid togidere.

11 Und nach den vierzig Tagen und vierzig Nächten gab mir der HERR die zwo steinernen Tafeln des Bundes

And whanne fourti daies and so many nyytis hadden passid, the Lord yaf to me twei tablis of stoon, tablis of boond of pees;

12 und sprach zu mir: Mache dich auf, gehe eilend hinab von hinnen; denn dein Volk, das du aus Ägypten geführet hast, hat's verderbet. Sie sind schnell getreten von dem Wege, den ich ihnen geboten habe; sie haben ihnen ein gegossen Bild gemacht.

and he seide to me, Rise thou, and go doun for hennys soone, for thi puple, which thou leddist out of Egipt, han forsake swiftli the weie which thou schewidist to hem, and thei han maad to hem a yotun calf.

13 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Ich sehe, daß dies Volk ein halsstarrig Volk ist.

And eft the Lord seide to me, `Y se that this puple is of hard nol;

14 Laß ab von mir, daß ich sie vertilge und ihren Namen austilge unter dem Himmel; ich will aus dir ein stärker und größer Volk machen, denn dies ist.

suffre thou me, that I alto breke hym, and do awey the name `of hym fro vndur heuene; and Y schal ordeyne thee on a folk which is grettere and strongere than this folk.

15 Und als ich mich wandte und von dem Berge ging, der mit Feuer brannte, und die zwo Tafeln des Bundes auf meinen beiden Händen hatte,

And whanne Y cam doun fro the hil brennynge, and helde with euer either hond twei tablis of boond of pees, and Y seiy,

16 da sah ich, und siehe, da hattet ihr euch an dem HERRN, eurem Gott, versündiget, daß ihr euch ein gegossen Kalb gemacht und bald von dem Wege getreten waret, den euch der HERR geboten hatte.

that ye hadde synned to youre Lord God, and hadden maad to you a yotun calf, and hadden forsake swiftli the weie of God which he schewide to you,

17 Da faßete ich beide Tafeln und warf sie aus beiden Händen und zerbrach sie vor euren Augen.

Y castide doun the tablis fro myn hondis, and brak tho tablis in youre siyt.

18 Und fiel vor dem HERRN, wie zuerst, vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte und aß kein Brot und trank kein Wasser um aller eurer Sünden willen, die ihr getan hattet, da ihr solches Übel tatet vor dem HERRN, ihn zu erzürnen.

And Y felde doun bifor the Lord as `biforto, in fourti daies and fourti nyytis, and Y eet not breed, `and drank not watir, for alle youre synnes whiche ye diden ayens the Lord, and terriden hym to `greet wraththe;

19 Denn ich fürchtete mich vor dem Zorn und Grimm, damit der HERR über euch erzürnet war, daß er euch vertilgen wollte. Aber der HERR erhörete mich dasmal auch.

for Y dredde the indignacioun and yre of hym, by which he was stirid ayens you, and wolde do you awey. And the Lord herde me also in this tyme.

20 Auch war der HERR sehr zornig über Aaron, daß er ihn vertilgen wollte; aber ich bat auch für Aaron zur selbigen Zeit.

Also the Lord was wrooth greteli ayens Aaron, and wolde alto breke hym, and Y preiede in lijk maner for hym.

21 Aber eure Sünde, das Kalb, das ihr gemacht hattet, nahm ich und verbrannte es mit Feuer und zerschlug es und zermalmete es, bis es Staub ward, und warf den Staub in den Bach, der vom Berge fleußt.

`Forsothe Y took youre synne which ye maden, that is, the calf, and brente it in fier, and Y alto brak in gobetis, and droof outerli in to dust, and castide forth in to the stronde, that cam doun fro the hil.

22 Auch so erzürnetet ihr den HERRN zu Thabeera und zu Massa und bei den Lustgräbern.

Also in the brennyng, and in the temptacioun at the watris of ayenseiyng, and in the Sepulcris of Coueytise, ye terriden the Lord;

23 Und da er euch aus Kades-Barnea sandte und sprach: Gehet hinauf und nehmet das Land ein, das ich euch gegeben habe, waret ihr ungehorsam des HERRN Mund, eures Gottes, und glaubtet an ihn nicht und gehorchtet seiner Stimme nicht.

and whanne Y sente you fro Cades Barne, and seide, `Stye ye, and welde the lond which Y yaf to you, and ye dispisiden the comaundement of youre Lord God, and ye bileueden not to him, nether ye wolden here his vois;

24 Denn ihr seid ungehorsam dem HERRN gewesen, solange ich euch gekannt habe.

but euere ye weren rebel, fro the day in which Y bigan to knowe you.

25 Da fiel ich vor dem HERRN vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte, die ich da lag; denn der HERR sprach, er wollte euch vertilgen.

And Y lay byfore the Lord fourti daies and fourti nyytis, in whiche Y bisouyte hym mekeli, that he schulde not `do awey you, as he manaasside.

26 Ich aber bat den HERRN und sprach: HERR, HERR, verderbe dein Volk und dein Erbteil nicht, das du durch deine große Kraft erlöset und mit mächtiger Hand aus Ägypten geführet hast!

And Y preiede, and seide, Lord God, distrye not thi puple, and thin eritage, which thou `ayen bouytist in thi greetnesse, which thou leddist out of Egipt in strong hond.

27 Gedenke an deine Knechte, Abraham, Isaak und Jakob. Sieh nicht an die Härtigkeit und das gottlose Wesen und Sünde dieses Volks,

Haue thou mynde of thi seruauntis, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; biholde thou not the hardnesse of this puple, and the wickidnesse, and the synne therof,

28 daß nicht das Land sage, daraus du uns geführet hast: Der HERR konnte sie nicht ins Land bringen, das er ihnen geredet hatte, und hat sie darum ausgeführet, daß er ihnen gram war, daß er sie tötete in der Wüste.

lest perauenture the dwelleris of the lond, out of which thou leddist vs, seien, The Lord myyte not bryng hem in to the lond which he bihiyte to hem, and he hatide hem; therfor he ledde hem out that he schulde sle hem in wildirnesse;

29 Denn sie sind dein Volk und dein Erbteil, das du mit deinen großen Kräften und mit deinem ausgereckten Arm hast ausgeführet.

and thei ben thi puple and thin eritage, which thou leddist out in thi greet strengthe, and in thin arm holdun forth.
