1 Samuel 7
1 Also kamen die Leute von Kiriath-Jearim und holeten die Lade des HERRN hinauf und brachten sie ins Haus Abinadabs zu Gibea; und seinen Sohn Eleasar heiligten sie, daß er der Lade des HERRN hütete.
Therfor men of Cariathiarym camen, and ledden ayen the arke of the Lord, and brouyten it in to the hows of Amynadab in Gabaa. Sotheli thei halewiden Eleazar his sone, that he schulde kepe the ark of the Lord.
2 Und von dem Tage an, da die Lade des HERRN zu Kiriath-Jearim blieb, verzog sich die Zeit so lange, bis zwanzig Jahre wurden; und das ganze Haus Israel weinete vor dem HERRN.
And it was doon, fro which dai `the arke of the Lord dwellide in Caryathiarym, daies weren multiplied; for the twentithe yeer was now, after that Samuel bigan to teche the puple; and al Israel restide aftir the Lord.
3 Samuel aber sprach zu dem ganzen Hause Israel: So ihr euch mit ganzem Herzen bekehret zu dem HERRN, so tut von euch die fremden Götter und Astharoth und richtet euer Herz zu dem HERRN und dienet ihm allein, so wird er euch erretten aus der Philister Hand.
Forsothe Samuel spak to al the hows of Israel, and seide, If in al youre herte ye turnen ayen to the Lord, do ye awei alien goddis, Balym and Astaroth, fro the myddis of you; and make ye redi youre hertis to the Lord, and serue ye hym aloone; and he schal delyuere you fro the hond of Filisteis.
4 Da taten die Kinder Israel von sich Baalim und Astharoth und dieneten dem HERRN allein.
Therfor the sones of Israel diden awey Baalym and Astoroth, and serueden the Lord aloone.
5 Samuel aber sprach: Versammelt das ganze Israel gen Mizpa, daß ich für euch bitte zum HERRN.
Forsothe Samuel seide, Gadere ye al Israel in to Masphat, that Y preie the Lord for you.
6 Und sie kamen zusammen gen Mizpa und schöpften Wasser und gossen es aus vor dem HERRN; und fasteten denselben Tag und sprachen daselbst: Wir haben dem HERRN gesündiget. Also richtete Samuel die Kinder Israel zu Mizpa.
And thei camen togidere in to Masphat, and thei drowen watir, and shedden out in the `siyt of the Lord; and thei fastiden in that day, and seiden, Lord, we synneden to thee. And Samuel demyde the sones of Israel in Masphat.
7 Da aber die Philister höreten, daß die Kinder Israel zusammenkommen waren gen Mizpa, zogen die Fürsten der Philister hinauf wider Israel. Da das die Kinder Israel höreten, fürchteten sie sich vor den Philistern
And Filisteis herden that the sones of Israel weren gaderid in Masphat; and the princes of Filisteis stieden to Israel. And whanne the sones of Israel hadden herd this, thei dredden of the face of Filisteis.
8 und sprachen zu Samuel: Laß nicht ab, für uns zu schreien zu dem HERRN, unserm Gott, daß er uns helfe aus der Philister Hand.
And `thei seiden to Samuel, Ceesse thou not to crye for vs to oure Lord God, that he saue vs fro the `hoond of Filisteis.
9 Samuel nahm ein Milchlämmlein und opferte dem HERRN ein ganz Brandopfer und schrie zum HERRN für Israel; und der HERR erhörete ihn.
Forsothe Samuel took o soukynge lomb, and offride that hool in to brent sacrifice to the Lord. And Samuel criede to the Lord for Israel; and the Lord herde hym.
10 Und indem Samuel das Brandopfer opferte, kamen die Philister herzu, zu streiten wider Israel. Aber der HERR ließ donnern einen großen Donner über die Philister desselben Tages und schreckte sie, daß sie vor Israel geschlagen wurden.
Forsothe it was doon, whanne Samuel offryde brent sacrifice, that Filisteis bigunnen batel ayens Israel. Sotheli the Lord thundride with greet thundur in that dai on Filisteis, and made hem aferd; and thei weren slayn of the sones of Israel.
11 Da zogen die Männer Israels aus von Mizpa und jagten die Philister und schlugen sie bis unter Beth-Kar.
And the sones of Israel yeden out of Masphat, and pursueden Filisteis, and smytiden hem `til to the place that was vndur Bethachar.
12 Da nahm Samuel einen Stein und setzte ihn zwischen Mizpa und Sen; und hieß ihn Eben-Ezer und sprach: Bis hieher hat uns der HERR geholfen.
Forsothe Samuel took o stoon, and puttide it bitwixe Masphat, and bitwixe Sen; and he clepide the name of that place The stoon of help. And he seide, Hidir to the Lord helpide vs.
13 Also wurden die Philister gedämpfet und kamen nicht mehr in die Grenze Israels; und die Hand des HERRN war wider die Philister, solange Samuel lebte.
And Filisteis weren maad low, and addiden no more to come in to the termes of Israel. And so the `hond of the Lord was maad on Filisteis in alle the daies of Samuel.
14 Also wurden Israel die Städte wieder, die die Philister ihnen genommen hatten, von Ekron an bis gen Gath samt ihren Grenzen; die errettete Israel von der Hand der Philister; denn Israel hatte Frieden mit den Amoritern.
And the citees whiche the Filisteis token fro Israel, weren yoldun to Israel, fro Accaron `til to Geth and `hise termes; and the Lord delyuerede Israel fro the hond of Filisteis; and pees was bitwixe Israel and Ammorrey.
15 Samuel aber richtete Israel sein Leben lang.
Also Samuel demyde Israel in alle the daies of his lijf, that is, `til to the ordeynyng `and confermyng of Saul;
16 Und zog jährlich umher zu Bethel und Gilgal und Mizpa. Und wenn er Israel an allen diesen Orten gerichtet hatte,
and he yede bi `alle yeeris, and cumpasside Bethel, and Galgal, and Masphat, and he demyde Israel in the forseid places.
17 kam er wieder gen Ramath, denn da war sein Haus; und richtete Israel daselbst und bauete dem HERRN daselbst einen Altar.
And he turnede ayen in to Ramatha, for his hows was there; and he demyde Israel there, and he bildide there also an auter to the Lord.
