1 Chronik 13
1 Und David hielt einen Rat mit den Hauptleuten über tausend und über hundert und mit allen Fürsten.
Forsothe Dauid took counsel with tribunes, and centuriouns, and alle princes;
2 Und sprach zu der ganzen Gemeine Israels: Gefällt es euch und ist's von dem HERRN, unserm Gott, so laßt uns allenthalben ausschicken zu den andern, unsern Brüdern in allen Landen Israels, und mit ihnen die Priester und Leviten in den Städten, da sie Vorstädte haben, daß sie zu uns versammelt werden;
and seide to alle the cumpeny of the sones of Israel, If it plesith you, and if the word which Y speke goith out fro oure Lord God, sende we to `oure residue britheren to alle the cuntrees of Israel, and to preestis and dekenes that dwellen in the subarbis of citees, that thei be gaderid to vs,
3 und laßt uns die Lade unsers Gottes zu uns wieder holen, denn bei den Zeiten Sauls fragten wir nicht nach ihr.
and that we brynge ayen to vs the arke of oure God; for we souyten not it in the daies of Saul.
4 Da sprach die ganze Gemeine, man sollte also tun; denn solches gefiel allem Volk wohl.
And al the multitude answeride, that it schulde be don so; for the word pleside al the puple.
5 Also versammelte David das ganze Israel, von Sihor Ägyptens an, bis man kommt gen Hemath, die Lade Gottes zu holen von Kiriath-Jearim.
Therfor Dauid gaderide togidere al Israel, fro Sior of Egipt til thou entre in to Emath, that he schulde brynge the arke of God fro Cariathiarim.
6 Und David zog hinauf mit dem ganzen Israel zu Kiriath-Jearim, welche liegt in Juda, daß er von dannen heraufbrächte die Lade Gottes, des HERRN, der auf den Cherubim sitzet, da der Name angerufen wird.
And Dauid stiede, and alle the men of Israel, to the hil of Cariathiarym, which is in Juda, that he schulde brynge fro thennus the arke of the Lord God sittynge on cherubyn, where his name was clepid.
7 Und sie ließen die Lade Gottes auf einem neuen Wagen führen, aus dem Hause Abinadabs. Usa aber und sein Bruder trieben den Wagen.
And thei puttiden the arke of the Lord God on a newe wayn fro the hous of Amynadab; forsothe Oza and hise britheren driueden the wayn.
8 David aber und das ganze Israel spielten vor Gott her aus ganzer Macht mit Liedern, mit Harfen, mit Psaltern, mit Pauken, mit Zimbeln und mit Posaunen.
Forsothe Dauid and al Israel pleieden bifor the Lord, with al miyt, in songis, and in harpis, and sautries, and tympans, and cymbalis, and trumpis.
9 Da sie aber kamen auf den Platz Chidon, reckte Usa seine Hand aus, die Lade zu halten; denn die Rinder schritten beiseit aus.
Forsothe whanne thei hadden come to the cornfloor of Chidon, Oza strechide forth his hond to susteyne the arke; for the oxe wexynge wielde hadde bowid it a litil.
10 Da erzürnete der Grimm des HERRN über Usa und schlug ihn, daß er seine Hand hatte ausgereckt an die Lade, daß er daselbst starb vor Gott.
Therfor the Lord was wrooth ayens Oza, and smoot hym, for he hadde touchide the ark; and he was deed there bifor the Lord.
11 Da ward David traurig, daß der HERR einen solchen Riß tat an Usa; und hieß die Stätte Perez-Usa bis auf diesen Tag.
And Dauid was sori, for the Lord hadde departid Oza; and he clepide that place The Departyng of Oza `til in to present dai.
12 Und David fürchtete sich vor Gott des Tages und sprach: Wie soll ich die Lade Gottes zu mir bringen?
And Dauid dredde the Lord in that tyme, and seide, How may Y brynge in to me the arke of the Lord?
13 Darum ließ er die Lade Gottes nicht zu sich bringen in die Stadt Davids, sondern lenkte sie hin ins Haus Obed-Edoms, des Githiters.
And for this cause he brouyte not it to hym, that is, in to the citee of Dauid, but he turnede it in to the hows of Obededom of Geth.
14 Also blieb die Lade Gottes bei Obed-Edom in seinem Hause drei Monden. Und der HERR segnete das Haus Obed-Edoms und alles, was er hatte.
Therfor the arke of God dwellide in the hous of Obededom of Geth thre monethis; and the Lord blessid his hows, and `alle thingis that he hadde.
