Psalm 75
1 Dem Musikmeister, “verdirb nicht!” Ein Psalm Asaphs. Ein Lied. Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken, und die deinen Namen anrufen, verkündigen deine Wunder.
For the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. We give thanks unto Thee, O God, we give thanks, and Thy name is near; men tell of Thy wondrous works.
2 “Wenn ich die Zeit gekommen finde, so richte ich, wie es recht ist.
'When I take the appointed time, I Myself will judge with equity.
3 “Wenn die Erde und alle ihre Bewohner vor Furcht vergehn - ich stelle ihre Säulen fest!” (Sela)
When the earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved, I Myself establish the pillars of it.' (Selah)
4 Ich spreche zu den Übermütigen: Seid nicht übermütig! und zu den Gottlosen: Hebt euer Horn nicht hoch!
I say unto the arrogant: 'Deal not arrogantly'; and to the wicked: 'Lift not up the horn.'
5 Hebt euer Horn nicht hoch empor, redet nicht Freches wider den Fels!
Lift not up your horn on high; speak not insolence with a haughty neck.
6 Denn nicht vom Aufgang und nicht vom Niedergang und nicht aus der Wüste kommt Erhöhung,
For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the wilderness, cometh lifting up.
7 sondern Gott ist Richter: diesen erniedrigt und jenen erhöht er!
For God is judge; He putteth down one, and lifteth up another.
8 Denn Jahwe hat einen Becher in der Hand mit schäumendem Wein und voll von Mischtrank und er schenkt daraus: ja, auch seine Hefen müssen schlürfen und trinken alle Gottlosen auf Erden.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, with foaming wine, full of mixture, and He poureth out of the same; surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them, and drink them.
9 Ich aber will immerdar jubeln, will dem Gott Jakobs lobsingen.
But as for me, I will declare for ever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 Und alle Hörner der Gottlosen will ich abhauen, aber die Hörner der Frommen sollen hoch erhoben sein!
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
