Psalm 59
1 Dem Musikmeister, “verdirb nicht!” Von David, ein Mikhtam, als Saul hinsandte, und sie das Haus bewachten, um ihn zu töten. Errette mich, mein Gott, von meinen Feinden, stelle mich auf eine Höhe, wo ich sicher bin vor meinen Widersachern.
To the choirmaster al-tashcheth of David a miktam when sent Saul and people watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from enemies my - O God my from [those who] rise up against me may you set on high me.
2 Errette mich von den Übelthätern und hilf mir gegen die Blutgierigen.
Deliver me from [those who] do wickedness and from men of blood save me.
3 Denn fürwahr, sie lauern mir auf; Starke rotten sich wider mich zusammen, ohne daß ich mich vergangen und ohne daß ich gesündigt habe, Jahwe.
For here! they lie in wait for life my they stir up trouble on me fierce [people] not transgression my and not sin my O Yahweh.
4 Ohne Verschuldung von meiner Seite rennen sie an und stellen sich bereit: Wache auf, mir entgegen, und sieh zu!
Not iniquity they run! and they may be established awake! to meet me and see.
5 Und du, Jahwe, Gott der Heerscharen, du Gott Israels, werde wach, um alle Heiden heimzusuchen; begnadige keinen der frevelhaften Verräter! (Sela)
And you O Yahweh God of - hosts [the] God of Israel awake! to punish all the nations may not you show favor to all [those who] act treacherously of wickedness (Selah)
6 Alle Abende kehren sie wieder, heulen wie die Hunde und umkreisen die Stadt.
They return to evening they growl like dog so they may go around [the] city.
7 Fürwahr, sie geifern mit ihrem Munde, Schwerter sind auf ihren Lippen, denn - “wer hört es?”
Here! - they pour forth! with mouth their swords [are] on lips their for who? [is] hearing.
8 Aber du, Jahwe, lachst über sie, du spottest aller Heiden.
And you O Yahweh you laugh to them you mock all [the] nations.
9 Meine Stärke, von dir will ich singen, denn Gott ist meine Burg.
Strength his to you I will watch for God [is] refuge my.
10 Mein Gott wird mir mit seiner Gnade entgegenkommen; Gott wird mich an meinen Feinden meine Lust sehen lassen.
[the] God of (Covenant loyalty my *QK) he will meet me God he will let look me on enemies my.
11 Töte sie nicht, damit es mein Volk nicht vergesse. Laß sie umherirren durch deine Macht und stürze sie, Herr, unser Schild!
May not you kill them - lest they should forget people my make wander about them by strength your and bring down them O shield our O Lord.
12 Es fälle sie die Sünde ihres Mundes, das Wort ihrer Lippen. Mögen sie sich fangen in ihrem Hochmut und wegen der Flüche und Lügen, die sie reden.
[the] sin of Mouth their [the] word of lips their and let them be caught in pride their and from a curse and from lying [which] they speak.
13 Vertilge sie im Grimme, vertilge, daß sie nicht mehr seien, damit man inne werde, daß Gott über Jakob herrscht, bis an die Enden der Erde! (Sela)
Make an end in anger make an end and there not [will be] them so they may know that God [is] ruling over Jacob to [the] ends of the earth (Selah)
14 Und alle Abende kehren sie wieder, heulen wie die Hunde und umkreisen die Stadt.
So they may return to evening they growl like dog so they may go around [the] city.
15 Sie irren umher nach Fraß; wenn sie nicht satt werden, so murren sie.
They (they make wander about! *QK) to eat if not they are satisfied and they passed [the] night.
16 Ich aber will von deiner Stärke singen und alle Morgen über deine Gnade jubeln. Denn du warst mir eine Burg und eine Zuflucht in der Zeit meiner Not.
And I - I will sing strength your so I may sing for joy to the morning covenant loyalty your for you have been a refuge of me and a place of escape on [the] day [when] it is distress to me.
17 Meine Stärke, von dir will ich singen, denn Gott ist meine Burg, mein gnädiger Gott!
O strength my to you I will sing praises for God [is] refuge my [the] God of covenant loyalty my.
