Psalm 50
1 Ein Psalm Asaphs. Gott, Gott Jahwe, redet und ruft der Erde vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Untergang.
The mighty El, even YHWH, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2 Aus Zion, der Krone der Schönheit, strahlt Gott auf.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, Elohim hath shined.
3 Unser Gott kommt und schweigt nicht. Verzehrendes Feuer geht vor ihm her, und rings um ihn stürmt es gewaltig.
Our Elohim shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4 Er ruft dem Himmel droben zu und der Erde, damit er sein Volk richte:
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 “Versammelt mir meine Frommen, die den Bund mit mir beim Opfer schlossen!”
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 Da verkündigte der Himmel seine Gerechtigkeit; denn Gott ist Richter. (Sela)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for Elohim is judge himself. (Selah)
7 “Höre, mein Volk, laß mich reden; Israel, laß mich wider dich zeugen: Gott, dein Gott, bin ich!
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am Elohim, even thy Elohim.
8 “Nicht wegen deiner Opfer will ich dich zur Rede setzen - sind doch deine Brandopfer beständig vor mir!
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
9 “Ich mag nicht Farren aus deinem Hause nehmen, noch Böcke aus deinen Hürden.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10 “Denn mein sind alle Tiere des Waldes, das Vieh auf den Bergen mit ihren Tausenden.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 “Ich kenne alle Vögel auf den Bergen, und was sich im Gefilde regt, ist mir bewußt.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 “Wenn mich hungerte, würde ich dir's nicht sagen; denn mein ist der Erdkreis und was ihn füllt.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13 “Esse ich etwa das Fleisch von Stieren oder trinke ich das Blut von Böcken?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 “Opfere Gott Dank, so wirst du dem Höchsten deine Gelübde bezahlen!
Offer unto Elohim thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 “Und rufe mich an am Tage der Not: ich will dich erretten und du sollst mich preisen!”
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 Zum Gottlosen aber spricht Gott: “Was hast du meine Satzungen herzuzählen und nimmst meinen Bund in deinen Mund,
But unto the wicked Elohim saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
17 “während du doch Zucht hassest und meine Worte hinter dich wirfst?
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
18 “Wenn du einen Dieb sahst, so liefst du mit ihm und mit Ehebrechern hattest du Gemeinschaft.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
19 “Du lässest deinen Mund sich frei in Bosheit ergehen, und deine Zunge flicht Betrug.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
20 “Du sitzest da, redest wider deinen Bruder, bringst Beschimpfung auf den Sohn deiner Mutter.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 “Solches thatest du, und ich schwieg. Da meintest du, ich sei ganz wie du. “Aber ich will dich zur Rechenschaft ziehn und dir's vor Augen stellen!
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
22 “Merkt doch dies, die ihr Gottes vergeßt, daß ich nicht hinwegraffe, ohne daß jemand zu retten vermag.
Now consider this, ye that forget Eloah, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23 “Wer Dank opfert, ehrt mich, und wer unsträflich wandelt, den will ich seine Lust sehen lassen an Gottes Heil!”
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of Elohim.
