Psalm 41
1 Dem Musikmeister. Ein Psalm Davids. Wohl dem, der auf den Geringen achtet; am Unglückstage wird ihn Jahwe erretten.

2 Jahwe wird ihn behüten und am Leben erhalten; er wird beglückt werden im Lande, und der Wut seiner Feinde wirst du ihn nicht preisgeben.

3 Jahwe wird ihn auf dem Siechbette stützen; sein ganzes Lager wandelst du bei seiner Krankheit.

4 Ich sprach: Jahwe sei mir gnädig! heile meine Seele, denn ich habe gegen dich gesündigt.

5 Meine Feinde reden Schlimmes über mich: “Wann wird er sterben und sein Name verschwinden?”

6 Und kommt einer, mich zu besuchen, so redet er Falschheit; sein Herz sammelt Bosheit an: er geht hinaus, redet wider mich.

7 Alle, die mich hassen, flüstern zusammen über mich, ersinnen Unheil für mich.

10 Du aber, Jahwe, sei mir gnädig und richte mich wieder auf, damit ich ihnen vergelte!

11 Daran erkenne ich, daß du Wohlgefallen an mir hast, daß mein Feind nicht über mich jauchzen wird.
