Psalm 145
1 Ein Lobgesang Davids. Ich will dich erheben, mein Gott, du König, und deinen Namen immer und ewig preisen!
My God and King, I will proclaim that you are very great/glorious; I will praise you [MTY] now and forever.
2 Tag für Tag will ich dich preisen und deinen Namen immer und ewig rühmen.
Every day I will praise you; [Yes], I will praise you [MTY] forever.
3 Jahwe ist groß und hoch zu rühmen, und seine Größe ist unausforschlich.
Yahweh you are great, and (you ought to be praised/people should praise you) very much; [we] cannot fully realize how great you are.
4 Ein Geschlecht rühme dem anderen deine Werke und verkündige deine gewaltigen Thaten.
Parents should tell their children the things that you have done; they should tell their children about your mighty deeds.
5 Von der Hoheit deiner majestätischen Herrlichkeit sollen sie reden; von deinen Wundern will ich sprechen.
They should tell them that you are very glorious and majestic [DOU], and I will (meditate on/think about) [all] your wonderful deeds.
6 Von der Gewalt deiner furchtbaren Thaten sollen sie sagen, und deine großen Thaten, die will ich erzählen.
People will speak about your powerful and awesome deeds, and I will proclaim that you are [very] great.
7 Das Gedächtnis deiner großen Güte sollen sie ausströmen und über deine Gerechtigkeit jubeln.
People will remember and proclaim that you are very good [to us], and they will sing joyfully that you [always act] justly/fairly.
8 Gnädig und barmherzig ist Jahwe, langsam zum Zorn und von großer Gnade.
Yahweh, you [are] kind and merciful [to us]; you do not quickly become angry; you faithfully love [us] very much.
9 Jahwe ist allen gütig, und sein Erbarmen erstreckt sich über alle seine Werke.
Yahweh, you are good to everyone, and you are merciful to everything that you have made.
10 Es sollen dich loben, Jahwe, alle deine Werke, und deine Frommen dich preisen.
Yahweh, [all] the creatures that you [made] will thank you, and all your people will praise you.
11 Von der Herrlichkeit deines Königtums sollen sie sagen und von deiner Gewalt reden,
They will tell [others] that you rule gloriously as [our] king and that you are [very] powerful.
12 daß sie den Menschenkindern seine gewaltigen Thaten kund thun und die majestätische Hoheit seines Königtums.
[They will do that] in order that everyone will know about your powerful deeds and that you rule [over us] gloriously.
13 Dein Reich ist ein Reich für alle Ewigkeit, und deine Herrschaft währt durch alle Geschlechter. Wahrhaftig ist Jahwe in allen seinen Worten und gnädig in allen seinen Thaten.
You will never stop being king; you [will] rule (throughout all generations/forever). Yahweh, you faithfully do all that you have promised to do, and all that you do, you do mercifully.
14 Jahwe stützt alle, die da fallen, und richtet alle Gebeugten auf.
Yahweh, you help all those who are discouraged and you lift up all those who (stumble and fall down/are distressed).
15 Aller Augen warten auf dich, und du giebst ihnen ihre Speise zu seiner Zeit.
All of the creatures that you made expect that you [will provide food for them], and you give them food when they need it.
16 Du thust deine Hand auf und sättigst alles Lebendige mit Wohlgefallen.
You give food to all living creatures generously [IDM], and you cause them to (be satisfied/have all the food that they need).
17 Jahwe ist gerecht in allen seinen Wegen und gnädig in allen seinen Thaten.
Everything that Yahweh does, he does justly/fairly, and all that he does, he does mercifully.
18 Jahwe ist nahe allen, die ihn anrufen, allen, die ihn mit Ernst anrufen.
Yahweh (comes near to/is ready to help) all those who call out to him, to those who call to him sincerely.
19 Er thut nach dem Willen derer, die ihn fürchten, und hört ihr Geschrei und hilft ihnen.
To all those who revere him, he gives them what they need. He hears them when they cry out to him, and saves/rescues them.
20 Jahwe behütet alle, die ihn lieben, aber alle Gottlosen vertilgt er.
Yahweh protects all those who love him, but he will get rid of all the wicked [people].
21 Mein Mund soll vom Ruhm Jahwes reden, und alles Fleisch preise seinen heiligen Namen immer und ewig!
I [SYN] will always praise Yahweh; [He is] holy; and I wish/hope that everyone will praise him [MTY] forever.
