Sprueche 30
1 Dies sind die Worte Agurs, des Sohnes Jakes, der Ausspruch. Es spricht der Mann: “Ich mühte mich ab um Gott, ich mühte mich ab um Gott und schwand dahin.
[the] words of - Agur [the] son of Jakeh the oracle [the] utterance of the man to Ithiel to Ithiel and Ukal.
2 Denn ich bin zu dumm, um als Mensch gelten zu können, und Menschenverstand ist nicht bei mir.
That [am] stupid I more than anyone and not [the] understanding of a person [belongs] to me.
3 Und nicht habe ich Weisheit gelernt, daß ich den Heiligen zu erkennen wüßte.
And not I have learned wisdom and knowledge of [the] holy [one] I know.
4 Wer stieg hinauf zum Himmel und fuhr herab? Wer sammelte den Wind in seine Fäuste? Wer band die Wasser in ein Gewand? Wer stellte alle Enden der Erde fest? Wie heißt er und wie heißt sein Sohn? - wenn du es weißt!”
Who? has he gone up heaven - and has he come down? who? has he gathered [the] wind - in hands his who? has he wrapped [the] waters - in cloak who? has he set up all [the] ends of [the] earth what? [is] name his and what? [is] [the] name of son his for you know.
5 Alle Rede Gottes ist geläutert; ein Schild ist er denen, die bei ihm Zuflucht suchen.
Every word of God [is] refined [is] a shield he for [those who] take refuge in him.
6 Thue nichts hinzu zu seinen Worten, daß er dich nicht zur Rechenschaft ziehe und du als Lügner erfunden werdest.
May not you add to words his lest he should rebuke you and you will be proved a liar.
7 Zweierlei erbitte ich von dir; versage mir's nicht, ehe ich sterbe:
Two [things] I ask from with you may not you withhold [them] from me before I will die.
8 Falschheit und Lügenwort laß ferne von mir sein, Armut und Reichtum gib mir nicht, laß mich aber mein zugemessenes Teil Speise dahinnehmen.
Deceitfulness - and a word of falsehood put far away from me poverty and wealth may not you give to me let devour me [the] food of allotment my.
9 Ich möchte sonst, wenn ich zu satt würde, verleugnen und sagen: Wer ist Jahwe? Oder wenn ich zu arm würde, möchte ich stehlen und mich am Namen meines Gottes vergreifen.
Lest I should be satisfied - and I will deny and I will say who? [is] Yahweh and lest I should become impoverished and I will steal and I will seize [the] name of God my.
10 Verleumde nicht den Knecht bei seinem Herrn; sonst wird er dir fluchen und du mußt es büßen.
May not you slander a slave to (master his *QK) lest he should curse you and you will be held guilty.
11 Wehe über ein Geschlecht, daß seinem Vater flucht und seine Mutter nicht segnet;
A generation father its it curses and mother its not it blesses.
12 ein Geschlecht, daß sich rein dünkt und ist doch von seinem Unflat nicht gewaschen;
A generation [is] pure in own eyes its and from excrement its not it has been washed.
13 ein Geschlecht - wie trägt es die Augen hoch und wie ziehen sich seine Wimpern in die Höhe!
A generation how! they are raised eyes its and eyelids its they are lifted up.
14 ein Geschlecht, dessen Zähne Schwerter sind, und dessen Gebiß aus Messern besteht, um die Elenden von der Erde wegzufressen und die Armen aus der Mitte der Menschen.
A generation - [are] swords teeth its and [are] knives jaw bones its to devour afflicted [people] from [the] earth and needy [people] from humankind.
15 Blutsaugerin hat zwei Töchter: Gieb her, gieb her! drei sind es, die nicht satt werden, vier sprechen nie: genug! -
[belong] to A leech - two daughters give - give three [things] they not they are satisfied four [things] not they say enough.
16 die Unterwelt und der unfruchtbare Mutterschoß, die Erde, die des Wassers nie satt wird, und das Feuer, das nicht spricht: genug! (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and barrenness of a womb land [which] not it is satisfied water and fire [which] not it says enough. (Sheol h7585)
17 Ein Auge, das des Vaters spottet und den Gehorsam gegen die Mutter verächtlich findet, das müssen die Raben am Bach aushacken und die jungen Adler fressen.
An eye - [which] it mocks a father so it may despise obedience of a mother they will pluck out it [the] ravens of [the] wadi and they will eat it [the] young of an eagle.
18 Drei sind es, die mir zu wunderbar erscheinen, und vier, die begreife ich nicht -
Three [things] they they are [too] wonderful for me (and four [things] *Qk) not I know them.
19 Des Adlers weg am Himmel, der Schlange weg auf einem Felsen, des Schiffes Weg inmitten des Meeres und des Mannes Weg bei einem Mädchen.
[the] way of The eagle - in the heavens [the] way of a snake on a rock [the] way of a ship in [the] heart of [the] sea and [the] way of a man with a young woman.
20 Also ist der Weg eines ehebrecherischen Weibes; sie genießt und wischt sich das Maul uns spricht: Ich habe nichts Unrechtes getan!
[is] thus - [the] way of A woman adulterous she eats and she wipes clean mouth her and she says not I have done wickedness.
21 Unter dreien erbebt die Erde und unter vieren kann sie es nicht aushalten:
Under three [things] it quakes [the] earth and under four [things] not it is able to bear up.
22 Unter einem Sklaven, wenn er König wird, und einem Niederträchtigen, wenn er Brot die Fülle hat,
Under a slave for he will become king and a fool for he will be satisfied food.
23 unter einer lange Verschmähten, wenn sie noch zur Ehe kommt, und einer Magd, wenn sie ihre Herrin verdrängt.
Under a hated [woman] for she will be married and a female servant for she will dispossess mistress her.
24 Vier sind die Kleinen auf Erden und doch sind sie gewitzigte Weise:
Four [things] they [are] small [things] of [the] earth and they [are] wise [things] made wise.
25 Die Ameisen, ein Volk ohne Macht; dennoch bereiten sie im Sommer ihre Speise.
The ants [are] a people not strong and they prepared in the summer food their.
26 Klippdachse, ein Volk ohne Stärke; dennoch legen sie im Felsen ihre Wohnung an.
Rock badgers [are] a people not mighty and they made in the rock[s] home their.
27 Die Heuschrecke hat keinen König; dennoch zieht der ganze Schwarm geordnet aus.
A king not [belongs] to the locust and it went out dividing all of it.
28 Die Eidechse kannst du mit bloßen Händen greifen, und doch ist sie in Königspalästen.
A lizard in [two] hands you will grasp and it [is] in [the] palaces of a king.
29 Drei sind es, die stattlich schreiten, und vier, die stattlich einhergehen:
Three [things] they [are] doing well of step and four [things] [are] doing well to walk.
30 Der Löwe, der Held unter den Tieren, der vor keinem Wesen Kehrt macht;
A lion [is] mighty among the animal[s] and not it turns back from before anything.
31 das lendenumgürtete Roß und der Bock und ein König, dem niemand widerstehen kann.
A rooster of loins or a male goat and a king a band of soldiers with him.
32 Magst du, indem du dich selbst überhebst, unvernünftig sein oder überlegt haben, lege die Hand auf den Mund!
If you have been foolish by exalting yourself and if you have plotted hand to a mouth.
33 Denn das Pressen von Milch bringt Butter hervor, und das Pressen der Nase bringt Blut hervor, und das Pressen des Zorns bringt Streit hervor.
For squeezing of milk it brings forth butter and squeezing of a nose it brings forth blood and squeezing of anger it brings forth strife.
