Sprueche 12
1 Wer Zucht will, will Erkenntnis, wer aber die Rüge haßt, ist dumm.
[one who] loves Discipline [is] loving knowledge and [one who] hates rebuke [is] stupid.
2 Ein Guter erlangt von Jahwe Wohlgefallen, aber den tückischen Mann verdammt er.
A good [person] he obtains favor from Yahweh and a person of evil devices he condemns as guilty.
3 Niemand gelangt durch gottloses Wesen zu festem Bestand, aber die Wurzel der Frommen wird nicht wanken.
Not he is established anyone by wickedness and [the] root of righteous [people] not it is moved.
4 Ein wackeres Weib ist die Krone ihres Gemahls, aber wie Wurmfraß in seinen Gebeinen ist eine schandbare.
A wife of ability [is] [the] crown of husband her and [is] like rottenness in bones his a [woman who] acts shamefully.
5 Die Gedanken der Frommen sind auf Recht aus, die Anschläge der Gottlosen auf Betrug.
[the] plans of Righteous [people] [are] justice [the] counsel of wicked [people] [are] deceit.
6 Der Gottlosen Reden bedrohen mit Lebensgefahr, aber der Mund der Rechtschaffenen errettet sie.
[the] words of Wicked [people] [are] to lie in wait for blood and [the] mouth of upright [people] it delivers them.
7 Die Gottlosen werden umgestürzt und sind nicht mehr, aber das Haus der Frommen bleibt stehen.
[someone] overthrows Wicked [people] and there not [are] they and [the] household of righteous [people] it endures.
8 Nach dem Maße siener Klugheit wird ein Mann gelobt, wer aber verschrobenes Sinnes ist, fällt der Verachtung anheim.
To [the] mouth of prudence his he is praised a person and a [person] perverted of heart he will become contempt.
9 Besser fährt, wer gering ist und dabei doch einen Diener hat, als wer vornehm tut und des Brots ermangelt.
[is] good A lightly esteemed [person] and a servant [belongs] to him more than [one who] honors himself and [one] lacking of food.
10 Der Fromme weiß, wie seinem Vieh zu Mute ist, aber der Gottlosen Herz ist grausam.
[is] knowing A righteous [person] [the] life of animals his and [the] compassion of wicked [people] [is] cruel.
11 Wer seinen Acker baut, wird Brots die Fülle haben, wer aber nichtigen Dingen nachjagt, ist unverständig.
[one who] works Land his he will be satisfied food and [one who] pursues worthless things [is] lacking of heart.
12 Den Gottlosen gelüstet nach dem Fange der Bösen, aber die Wurzel des Frommen ist von Dauer.
He covets a wicked [person] a net of evil [things] and [the] root of righteous [people] it yields produce.
13 Durch der Lippen Vergehung verstrickt sich der Böse, und so entgeht der Fromme der Not.
[is] in [the] transgression of Lips a snare evil and he came out from trouble a righteous [person].
14 Von der Frucht seines Mundes hat einer Gutes in Fülle, und was die Hände des Menschen anderen anthun, das fällt auf ihn zurück.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he will be satisfied good thing[s] and [the] dealing of [the] hands of a person (he will repay *QK) to him.
15 Dem Narren erscheint sein Weg als der rechte, aber der Weise hört auf Rat.
[the] way of A fool [is] right in own eyes his and [one who] listens to advice [is] wise.
16 Des Narren Ärger giebt sich auf der Stelle kund, der Kluge aber verbirgt den Schimpf.
A fool on the day it is known anger his and [one who] conceals shame [is] sensible.
17 Wer ohne Scheu die Wahrheit spricht, sagt aus, was recht ist, ein falscher Zeuge aber Trügerei.
He breathes out faithfulness he declares righteousness and a witness of lies deceit.
18 Es giebt welche, die schwatzen, als wären's Schwertstiche, aber die Zunge der Weisen bringt Heilung.
There [is one who] speaks rashly like thrusts of a sword and [the] tongue of wise [people] [is] healing.
19 Wahrhaftige Lippe besteht für immer, aber eine falsche Zunge nur für den Augenblick.
A lip of reliability it will be established for ever and until I will grant rest a tongue of falsehood.
20 Trug ist im Herzen derer, die böses ersinnen; aber die zum Frieden raten, stiften Freude.
Deceit [is] in [the] heart of devisers of evil and [belongs] to counselors of peace joy.
21 Dem Frommen stößt keinerlei Unheil zu, aber die Gottlosen sind voll Unglücks.
Not it happens to the righteous any trouble and wicked [people] they are full distress.
22 Falsche Lippen sind Jahwe ein Greuel; die aber Treue erzeigen, gefallen ihm wohl.
[are] [the] abomination of Yahweh lips of falsehood and doers of faithfulness [are] delight his.
23 Ein kluger Mann hält zurück mit seiner Erkenntnis; aber der Thoren Herz schreit die eigne Narrheit aus.
A person sensible [is] concealing knowledge and [the] heart of fools it proclaims foolishness.
24 Die Hand der Fleißigen wird herrschen, die lässige aber wird fronpflichtig werden.
[the] hand of Diligent [people] it will rule and idleness it will become forced labor.
25 Kummer in eines Mannes Herzen drückt es nieder, aber ein freundliches Wort erheitert es.
Anxiety in [the] heart of a person it bows down it and a word good it makes glad it.
26 Der Fromme erspäht sich seine Weide, aber die Gottlosen führt ihr Weg in die Irre.
He makes a search from friend his a righteous [person] and [the] way of wicked [people] it misleads them.
27 Der Lässige erjagt sein Wild nicht, aber ein köstliches Gut für den Menschen ist Fleißigsein.
Not he roasts idleness game his and [the] wealth of a person precious diligent.
28 Auf dem Pfade der Gerechtigkeit ist Leben, aber der Weg des Frevels führt zum Tode.
[is] in [the] path of Righteousness life and [the] direction of a pathway may not [it be to] death.
