1 Und auf den versiegelten Urkunden standen: Nehemia, der Statthalter, der Sohn Hakaljas, und Zedekia,

9 Und die Leviten: Jesua, der Sohn Asanjas, Binnui, von den Nachkommen Henadads, Kadmïel

And the Levites: Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;

10 und ihre Brüder: Sebanja, Hodia, Kelita, Pelaja, Hanan,

and their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan;

11 Micha, Rehob, Hasabja,

Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah;

12 Sakkur, Serebja, Sebanja,

Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah;

13 Hodia, Bani, Beninu.

28 Und das übrige Volk - die Priester, die Leviten, die Thorhüter, die Sänger, die Tempeldiener und alle, die sich von den heidnischen Bewohnern des Landes abgesondert und dem Gesetze Gottes unterworfen hatten -, ihre Weiber, Söhne und Töchter, alle, die alt genug waren, es zu verstehen,

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinim, and all they that had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one that had knowledge and understanding;

29 schlossen sich ihren Brüdern, den Vornehmen, an und nahmen Eid und Schwur auf sich, daß sie nach dem Gesetze Gottes, das durch Mose, den Knecht Gottes, übermittelt ist, wandeln und alle Gebote, Ordnungen und Satzungen Jahwes, unseres Herrn, beobachten und halten wollten,

they cleaved to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes;

30 nämlich, daß wir weder unsere Töchter den heidnischen Bewohnern des Landes zu Weibern geben, noch ihre Töchter an unsere Söhne verheiraten wollten;

and that we would not give our daughters unto the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons;

31 ferner, daß wir, wenn die Bewohner des Landes am Sabbat Marktwaren und allerlei Getreide zum Verkauf herbeibrächten, es ihnen am Sabbat oder an einem anderen heiligen Tage nicht abnehmen wollten. Und im siebenten Jahre wollen wir das Land brach liegen lassen und auf jegliches Handdarlehen verzichten.

and if the peoples of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy of them on the sabbath, or on a holy day; and that we would forego the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

32 Weiter stellten wir als gesetzliche Verpflichtung für uns fest, daß wir uns jährlich den dritten Teil eines Sekels für den Dienst am Tempel unseres Gottes auferlegen wollten,

Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;

33 nämlich für die reihenweise aufgelegten Brote, das regelmäßige Speisopfer und das regelmäßige Brandopfer, die Opfer an den Sabbaten und den Neumondstagen, für die Festopfer, die Dankopfer und die Sündopfer, um Israel Sühne zu schaffen, und für den ganzen Dienst am Tempel unseres Gottes.

for the showbread, and for the continual meal-offering, and for the continual burnt-offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the appointed seasons, and for the holy things, and for the sin-offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

34 Und wir, die Priester, die Leviten und das Volk, warfen das Los wegen der Holzlieferungen, daß wir es jahraus jahrein familienweise zur festgesetzten Zeit für den Tempel unseres Gottes liefern wollten, damit es auf dem Altare Jahwes, unseres Gottes, verbrenne, wie es im Gesetze vorgeschrieben ist.

And we cast lots, the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood-offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Law;

35 Und weiter verpflichteten wir uns, die Erstlinge unseres Ackerlands und die Erstlinge aller Früchte von jeder Art von Bäumen jahraus jahrein an den Tempel Jahwes abzuliefern

and to bring the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all manner of trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD;

36 und ebenso unsere erstgeborenen Söhne und die Erstgeborenen unseres Viehs nach der Vorschrift im Gesetze, sowie die Erstgeborenen unserer Rinder und unserer Schafe an den Tempel unseres Gottes, an die Priester, die im Hause unseres Gottes Dienst thun, abzuliefern.

also the first-born of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God;

37 Auch das Erste von unserer Grütze und unseren Hebeopfern und den Früchten sämtlicher Bäume, dem Most und dem Öl wollen wir an die Priester in die Zellen des Tempels unseres Gottes einliefern und den Zehnten von unserem Ackerland an die Leviten; denn sie, die Leviten, sammeln in allen unseren Ackerbaustädten den Zehnten ein.

and that we should bring the first of our dough, and our heave-offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, the wine and the oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our land unto the Levites; for they, the Levites, take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

38 Und der aaronitische Priester soll bei den Leviten zugegen sein, wenn die Leviten den Zehnten einsammeln, und die Leviten sollen den Zehnten vom Zehnten zum Tempel unseres Gottes, in die Zellen des Schatzhauses bringen.

And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure-house.

39 Denn in diese Zellen haben die Israeliten und die Leviten die Hebe vom Getreide, dem Moste und dem Öl abzuliefern, da sich dort die Gefäße des Heiligtums und die dienstthuenden Priester und die Thorhüter und die Sänger befinden. So wollen wir den Tempel unseres Gottes nicht im Stiche lassen.

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the heave-offering of the corn, of the wine, and of the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers; and we will not forsake the house of our God.
