Markus 11
1 Und wie sie herankommen gegen Jerusalem und gegen Bethania beim Oelberg, schickt er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab,
When they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples
2 und sagt zu ihnen: gehet hin in das Dorf euch gegenüber, und sobald ihr hineinkommt, werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen ist: das bindet los und bringt es her.
and said to them, “Go your way into the village that is opposite you. Immediately as you enter into it, you will find a young donkey tied, on which no one has sat. Untie him and bring him.
3 Und wenn jemand zu euch sagt: was thut ihr da? so sagt: der Herr bedarf seiner, er schickt es gleich wieder hierher zurück.
If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs him;’ and immediately he will send him back here.”
4 Und sie giengen hin und fanden das Füllen gebunden bei der Thüre außen gegen die Gasse, und machen es los.
They went away, and found a young donkey tied at the door outside in the open street, and they untied him.
5 Und etliche von den Umstehenden sagten zu ihnen: was macht ihr da, daß ihr das Füllen losbindet?
Some of those who stood there asked them, “What are you doing, untying the young donkey?”
6 Sie aber sagten zu ihnen, wie Jesus sie angewiesen: und sie ließen sie machen.
They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
7 Und sie bringen das Füllen zu Jesus, und legten ihre Oberkleider darauf, und er setzte sich darauf.
They brought the young donkey to Jesus and threw their garments on it, and Jesus sat on it.
8 Und viele breiteten ihre Kleider auf den Weg, andere aber grüne Büschel, die sie aus den Feldern abhieben.
Many spread their garments on the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.
9 Und die vorausgiengen sowohl als die nachfolgten, riefen alle: Hosianna, gesegnet sei der da kommt im Namen des Herrn.
Those who went in front and those who followed cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 Gesegnet sei das Reich unseres Vaters David, das da kommt; Hosianna in der Höhe.
Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
11 Und er gieng hinein nach Jerusalem in den Tempel; und nachdem er sich überall umgesehen, da es schon spät an der Zeit war, gieng er hinaus nach Bethania mit den Zwölf.
Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12 Und am folgenden Tage als sie von Bethania ausgezogen, hungerte ihn.
The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
13 Und er sah von weitem einen Feigenbaum, der Blätter hatte, und trat herzu, ob er etwas auf demselben finde, und wie er hinkam, fand er nichts als Blätter; denn es war nicht die Zeit der Feigen.
Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14 Und er hob an und sprach zu ihm: nie mehr in Ewigkeit soll jemand von dir Frucht essen. Und seine Jünger hörten es. (aiōn g165)
Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it. (aiōn g165)
15 Und sie kommen nach Jerusalem. Und als er in den Tempel eingetreten, fieng er an auszutreiben die im Tempel verkauften und kauften, und warf die Tische der Wechsler sowie die Bänke der Taubenverkäufer um,
They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
16 und ließ niemand ein Gefäß durch den Tempel tragen,
He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
17 und er lehrte sie also: steht nicht geschrieben: mein Haus soll ein Bethaus heißen bei allen Völkern? Ihr aber habt es zur Räuberhöhle gemacht.
He taught, saying to them, “Isn’t it written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers!”
18 Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten hörten es und sannen wie sie ihn umbrächten; denn sie fürchteten ihn; denn alles Volk war betroffen über seine Lehre.
The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
19 Und wann es Abend wurde, pflegten sie aus der Stadt hinauszugehen.
When evening came, he went out of the city.
20 Und als sie früh Morgens vorbeizogen, sahen sie den Feigenbaum verdorrt von der Wurzel an.
As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
21 Und Petrus erinnerte sich und sagte zu ihm: Rabbi, siehe der Feigenbaum, den du verflucht hast, ist verdorrt.
Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”
22 Und Jesus antwortete und sagt zu ihnen: habet Glauben an Gott.
Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
23 Wahrlich ich sage euch, wer zu diesem Berge sagt: hebe dich weg und stürze ins Meer, und nicht zweifelt in seinem Herzen, sondern glaubt, daß, was er spricht, geschieht, dem wird es zu teil werden.
For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
24 Darum sage ich euch: alles, um was ihr betet und bittet, glaubet nur, daß ihr es empfangen, so wird es euch werden.
Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
25 Und wenn ihr euch zum Gebete stellt, so vergebet, was ihr gegen irgend jemand habt, damit auch euer Vater in den Himmeln euch eure Uebertretungen vergebe.
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
26 Wenn aber ihr nicht vergebet, wird auch euer Vater in den Himmeln eure Uebertretung nicht vergeben.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”
27 Und sie kommen wieder nach Jerusalem, und als er im Tempel herumgieng, treten zu ihm die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten und die Aeltesten,
They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him,
28 und sagten zu ihm: in welcher Vollmacht thust du das? oder wer hat dir diese Vollmacht gegeben, das zu thun?
and they began saying to him, “By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”
29 Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: ich will euch etwas fragen; antwortet mir, so will ich euch sagen, in welcher Vollmacht ich dies thue.
Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 War die Taufe des Johannes vom Himmel oder von Menschen? antwortet mir.
The baptism of John—was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.”
31 Und sie überlegten bei sich selbst; sagen wir: vom Himmel, so sagt er: warum habt ihr ihm nicht geglaubt?
They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we should say, ‘From heaven;’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
32 Aber sollen wir sagen: von Menschen? da fürchteten sie das Volk, denn alles hielt von Johannes, daß er wirklich ein Prophet sei.
If we should say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all held John to really be a prophet.
33 Und sie antworteten Jesus: wir wissen es nicht. Und Jesus sagt zu ihnen: so sage ich euch auch nicht, in welcher Vollmacht ich dies thue.
They answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
