Josua 16
1 Die Söhne Josephs aber erhielten ihren Anteil vom Jordan gegenüber Jericho, bei dem Wasser Jerichos ostwärts, nach der Steppe zu, die sich von Jericho aus hinaufzieht auf das Gebirge nach Bethel.
And it went out the lot of [the] descendants of Joseph from [the] Jordan of Jericho to [the] waters of Jericho east-ward the wilderness going up from Jericho in the hill country Beth-el.
2 Sodann setzt sich die Grenze fort von Bethel nach Lus, zieht sich hinüber nach dem Gebiete der Arkiter nach Ataroth,
And it goes out from Beth-el Luz towards and it passes on to [the] border of the Arkite[s] Ataroth.
3 senkt sich westwärts hinab nach dem Gebiete der Japhletiter bis zum Gebiete des unteren Beth Horon und bis Geser und endigt am Meere.
And it goes down west-ward to [the] border of the Japhletite[s] to [the] border of Beth Horon lower and to Gezer and they are (extremities its *Q(K)*) [the] sea towards.
4 Und die Söhne Josephs, Manasse und Ephraim, erhielten Erbbesitz.
And they received their inheritance [the] descendants of Joseph Manasseh and Ephraim.
5 Es war aber das Gebiet der verschiedenen Geschlechter der Ephraimiten folgendes. Im Osten war die grenze ihres Erbbesitzes Ateroth Addar bis zum oberen Beth Horon;
And it was [the] territory of [the] descendants of Ephraim to clans their and it was [the] border of inheritance their east-ward Ataroth Addar to Beth Horon upper.
6 sodann setzt sich die Grenze fort bis zum Meere. Im Norden war der Grenzpunkt Michmethath; und zwar wendet sich die Grenze ostwärts nach Thaanath Silo und zieht sich daran vorüber östlich von Janoha.
And it goes out the border the sea towards Micmethath [is] from [the] north and it turns the border east-ward Taanath Shiloh and it passes by it from [the] east Janoah.
7 Von Janoha aber zieht sie sich hinab nach Ataroth und Naarath, stößt an Jericho und endet am Jordan.
And it goes down from Janoah Ataroth and Naarah towards and it touches Jericho and it goes out the Jordan.
8 Von Thappuah aus läuft die Grenze westwärts zum Bache Kana und endigt am Meere. Das ist der Erbbesitz der verschiedenen Geschlechter des Stammes der Ephraimiten.
From Tappuah it goes the border west-ward [the] wadi of Kanah and they are extremities its the sea towards this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Ephraim to clans their.
9 Dazu kamen noch die ephraimitischen Städte, die abgesondert inmitten des Erbbesitzes der Manassiten lagen, sämtliche Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
And the cities the separate places for [the] descendants of Ephraim [are] in [the] midst of [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Manasseh all the cities and villages their.
10 Sie vertrieben jedoch nicht die Kanaaniter, die in Geser wohnten; so blieben die Kanaaniter inmitten Ephraims wohnen bis auf den heutigen Tag und wurden zu dienstbaren Fröhnern.
And not they dispossessed the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in Gezer and he has dwelt the Canaanite[s] in [the] midst of Ephraim until the day this and he became a slave gang of laboring.
