Josua 12

1 Und dies sind die Könige des Landes, welche die Israeliten schlugen und deren Land sie in Besitz nahmen: jenseits des Jordan im Osten und das Land vom Arnonflusse bis zum Hermongebirge und die ganze Steppe im Osten.

And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

2 Sihon, der König der Amoriter, der in Hesbon wohnte und das Land von Arver an, das am Ufer des Arnonflusses liegt, und die mitte des Thals und die eine Hälfte von Gilead bis an den Fluß Jabok, die Grenze der Ammoniter, beherrschte.

Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

3 Und die Steppe bis zum See Kinneroth im Osten und bis zum Meere der Steppe, dem Salzmeer, im Osten gegen Beth Jesimoth hin und von Theman an am Fuße der Abhänge des Pisga.

And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

4 Und das Gebiet Ogs, des Königs von Basan, der zu den Überresten der Rephaiter gehörte und in Astaroth und Edrei wohnte

And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

5 und über das Hermongebirge, Salcha und ganz Basan herrschte bis zur Grenze der Gesuriter und Maachatiter und über die Hälfte von Gilead bis zur Grenze Sihons, des königs von Hesbon.

And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

6 Mose, der Knecht Jahwes, und die Israeliten hatten sie besiegt, und mose, der Knecht Jahwes, hatte das Land den Rubeniten, Gaditen und dem halben Stamm Manasse zum Besitze gegeben.

These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

7 Dies sind die Könige des Landes, welche Josusa und die Israeliten jenseits, westlich vom Jordan, besiegten, von Baal Gad im Libanonthal an bis zum glatten Gebirge, das gegen Seir ansteigt, und deren Land Josua den Stämmen Israels entsprechend ihren Abteilungen zum Besitze verlieh,

And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

8 auf dem Gebirge, in der Niederung, in der Araba, an den Bergabhängen, in der Steppe und im Südlande, das Gebiet der Hethiter, Amoriter, Kanaaniter, Pheresiter, Heviter und Jebusiter.

In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Der König von Jericho, einer; der König von Ai, das neben Bethel liegt, einer;

10 der König von Jerusalem, einer; der König von Hebron, einer;

11 der König von Jarmuth, einer; der König von Lachis, einer;

12 der König von Eglon, einer; der König von Geser, einer;

20 der König von Simron Meron, einer; der König von Achsaph, einer;

The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

21 der König von Taanach, einer; der König von Megiddo, einer;

22 der König von Kedes, einer; der König von Jokneam am Karmel, einer;

The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Yokne'am on Carmel, one;

23 der König von Dor, das zu Naphat Dor gehört, einer; der König der Heiden von Gilgal, einer;

The king of Dor in the district of Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Gilgal, one;

24 der König von Thirza, einer; - zusammen einunddreißig Könige.

The king of Tirzah, one: in all thirty and one kings.
