Jeremia 5
1 Durchstreift die Gassen Jerusalems, seht euch doch um und bringt in Erfahrung und forscht auf ihren Straßen, ob ihr jemanden findet, ob da einer ist, der Recht übet, der sich um Treue müht, daß ich ihr verzeihe.
Rove about in [the] streets of Jerusalem and see please and observe and search in open places its if you will find a person if there [is one who] does justice [one who] seeks faithfulness so I may forgive it.
2 Indes wenn sie auch “So wahr Jahwe lebt!” sagen, so schwören sie darum doch falsch.
And though [by] [the] life of Yahweh people say therefore to falsehood they are swearing oaths.
3 Aber sind deine Augen, Jahwe, - sind sie nicht vielmehr auf Treue gerichtet? Du hast die geschlagen, aber sie empfanden keinen Schmerz; du hast die aufgerieben, aber Zucht wollten sie nicht annehmen. Sie machten ihr Angesicht härter als Felsgestein, sie wollten sich nicht bekehren.
O Yahweh [are] eyes your ¿ not to faithfulness you struck them and not they writhed you brought to an end them they refused to accept correction they made strong faces their more than rock they refused to return.
4 Ich zwar dachte: Nur geringe Leute sind's; sie gebärden sich thöricht, weil sie den Weg Jahwes, die Gerechtsame ihres Gottes nicht kennen.
And I I said only [are] poor [people] they they have acted foolishly for not they know [the] way of Yahweh [the] ordinance of God their.
5 Ich will doch zu den Großen gehen und mit ihnen reden; denn sie kennen den Weg Jahwes, die Gerechtsame ihres Gottes! Aber gerade sie hatten allesamt das Joch zerbrochen, die Bande zerrissen.
I will go for myself to the great and I will speak them for they they know [the] way of Yahweh [the] ordinance of God their nevertheless they alike they had broken off a yoke they had torn off fetters.
6 Darum zermalmt sie der Löwe, der aus dem Walde hervorbricht, überwältigt sie der Wolf, der in der Steppe daheim ist, lauert der Pardel an ihren Städten, so daß, wer irgend aus ihnen herauskommt, zerrissen wird; denn vielfältig sind ihre Übertretungen, zahlreich ihre Treulosigkeiten.
There-fore it will attack them a lion from a forest a wolf of desert plains it will devastate them a leopard [will be] watching over cities their every [one who] goes out from them he will be torn in pieces for they are many transgressions their they are numerous (apostasies their. *Qk)
7 Warum doch soll ich dir verzeihen? Deine Kinder haben mich verlassen und bei Ungöttern geschworen, und sättigte ich sie, so brachen sie doch den Ehebund und drängten sich in Scharen zum Hurenhause.
Where? for this (will I forgive *Qk) you children your they have forsaken me and they have sworn by not gods and I satisfied them and they committed adultery and [the] house of a prostitute they cut themselves.
8 Wie feiste Rosse schweiften sie umher, geil wiehern sie ein jeder nach des andern Weibe.
Horses well fed lustful they are everyone to [the] wife of neighbor his they neigh.
9 Sollte ich dergleichen Menschen nicht strafen? ist der Spruch Jahwes, oder mich an einem so gearteten Volke nicht rächen?
¿ On these [things] not will I punish [the] utterance of Yahweh and or? on a nation which [is] like this [one] not will it avenge itself self my.
10 Steigt hinauf auf ihre Mauern und zerstört, aber macht ihnen nicht den Garaus; entfernt ihre Ranken, denn Jahwe gehören sie nicht an!
Go up among vine rows its and destroy [them] and complete destruction may not you make remove vine tendrils its for not [belong] to Yahweh they.
11 Denn gar treulos hat an mir das Haus Israel und das Haus Juda gehandelt - ist der Spruch Jahwes.
For certainly they have dealt treacherously with me [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah [the] utterance of Yahweh.
12 Verleugnet haben sie Jahwe und gesagt: Nicht der ist's! und nicht wird Unheil über uns kommen: weder Schwert noch Hunger werden wir erleben;
They have denied Yahweh and they have said not he and not it will come on us harm and sword and famine not we will see.
13 die Propheten aber werden sich als Wind erweisen, denn das Gotteswort ist nicht in ihnen: also ergehe es ihnen selbst!
And the prophets they will become wind and the word not [is] in them thus let it be done to them.
14 Darum spricht Jahwe, der Gott der Heerscharen, also: Weil ihr solche Rede geführt habt, so will ich meine Worte in deinem Munde zu Feuer machen und dieses Volk zu Brennholz, daß es sie verzehre!
Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts because have spoken you the word this here I [am] about to make words my in mouth your into a fire and the people this wood and it will consume them.
15 Fürwahr, ich lasse über euch ein Volk von fernher kommen, ihr vom Hause Israel - ist der Spruch Jahwes -, ein unverwüstliches Volk ist es, ein uraltes Volk ist es, ein Volk, dessen Sprache du nicht kennst und von dem du nicht verstehst, was es redet.
Here I [am] about to bring on you a nation from a distance O house of Israel [the] utterance of Yahweh [is] a nation - enduring it [is] a nation from long ago it a nation [which] not you know language its and not you hear what? does it say.
16 Sein Köcher gleicht einem geöffneten Grab und aus lauter Helden besteht es.
Quiver its [is] like a grave open all of them [are] warriors.
17 Es wird deine Ernte und dein Brotkorn verzehren, deine Söhne und deine Töchter werden sie verzehren, deine Schafe und deine Rinder wird es verzehren, deinen Weinstock und deinen Feigenbaum wird es verzehren: deine festen Städte, auf die du dich verlässest, wird es mit dem Schwerte zertrümmern.
And it will devour harvest your and food your they will devour sons your and daughters your it will devour flock[s] your and herd[s] your it will devour vine[s] your and fig tree[s] your it will shatter [the] cities of fortifications your which you [are] trusting in them with the sword.
18 Gleichwohl auch in diesen Tagen - ist der Spruch Jahwes - will ich es mit euch nicht garaus machen!
And also in the days those [the] utterance of Yahweh not I will make with you complete destruction.
19 Wenn ihr aber alsdann sprecht: Wofür hat Jahwe, unser Gott, uns alles das angethan? so sollst du zu ihnen sagen: So wie ihr mich verlassen und fremden Göttern in eurem Lande gedient habt, also sollt ihr der Fremden Sklaven sein in einem Lande, das euch nicht gehört.
And it will be that you will say for what? did he do Yahweh God our to us all these [things] and you will say to them just as you forsook me and you served gods of foreignness in own land your so you will serve strangers in a land [which] not [belongs] to you.
20 Verkündet das in dem Hause Jakobs und ruft es aus in Juda:
Declare this in [the] house of Jacob and proclaim it in Judah saying.
21 Hört doch das, ihr thörichtes und unverständiges Volk, die Augen haben, aber nicht sehen, die Ohren haben, aber nicht hören!
Hear please this O people fool and there not [is] a heart eyes [belong] to them and not they see ears [belong] to them and not they hear.
22 Mich wollt ihr nicht fürchten - ist der Spruch Jahwes - oder vor mir wollt ihr nicht zittern? vor mir, der ich dem Meere die Düne als Grenze gesetzt, als immerwährende Schranke, die es nicht überschreiten darf. Und ob auch seine Wogen dagegen andrängen, sind sie doch machtlos, und ob sie auch dagegen toben, vermögen sie sie doch nicht zu überschreiten.
¿ Me not do you fear [the] utterance of Yahweh or? from before me not do you tremble who I appointed [the] sand a boundary for the sea a decree of perpetuity and not it will pass over it and they shook back and forth and not they will prevail and they roar waves its and not they will pass over it.
23 Dieses Volk aber hat einen störrigen und aufrührerischen Sinn: sie haben sich abgewandt und sind ihres Wegs gegangen,
And to the people this it belongs a heart stubborn and rebellious they have turned aside and they have gone away.
24 dachten aber nicht in ihrem Sinne: Laßt uns doch Jahwe, unsern Gott, fürchten, der den Regen, den Frühregen wie den Spätregen, zur rechten Zeit giebt, der die Wochen, die festen Ordnungen der Erntezeit zu unserem Besten einhält!
And not they said in heart their let us fear please Yahweh God our who gives rain (autumn rain *QK) and spring rain at appropriate time its [the] weeks of [the] appointments of harvest he keeps for us.
25 Eure Verschuldungen haben sie aus dem Geleise gebracht, und eure Sünden haben euch den Segen entzogen!
Iniquities your they have turned aside these [things] and sins your they have withheld good from you.
26 Denn Frevler finden sich in meinem Volke: man legt sich auf die Lauer, so wie sich Vogelsteller ducken; sie stellen Fallen auf, um Menschen zu fangen.
For they are found among people my wicked [people] he watches as bend fowlers they set a destroyer people they catch.
27 Wie ein Korb angefüllt mit Vögeln, also sind ihre Häuser mit betrügerischem Erwerb angefüllt: auf solche Art sind sie groß und reich geworden;
Like a cage full bird[s] so houses their [are] full deceit there-fore they have become great and they have gained riches.
28 feist sind sie geworden, glänzend vom Fett. Dazu fließen sie über von unheilvollen Reden; für die Sache der Waisen, für die treten sie nicht ein, sie zum Siege zu bringen, und den Armen verhelfen sie nicht zum Rechte.
They have become fat they have become smooth also they have transgressed matters of evil a cause not they have pleaded [the] cause of [the] fatherless so they may have success and [the] justice of needy [people] not they have judged.
29 Sollte ich dergleichen Menschen nicht strafen - ist der Spruch Jahwes - oder mich an einem so gearteten Volke nicht rächen?
¿ On these [things] not will I punish [the] utterance of Yahweh or? on a nation which [is] like this [one] not will it avenge itself self my.
30 Entsetzliches und Schaudererregendes hat sich im Lande zugetragen:
An atrocious event and a horrible [thing] it has occurred in the land.
31 die Propheten - sie weissagen trügerisch, die Priester aber - sie schalten Hand in Hand mit ihnen, und mein Volk - die lieben's also! Was aber werdet ihr thun, wenn das Ende davon kommt?
The prophets they have prophesied with falsehood and the priests they are ruling on hands their and people my they have loved thus and what? will you do to end its.
