Jeremia 34

1 Das Wort, welches von seiten Jahwes an Jeremia erging, als Nebukadrezar, der König von Babel, mit seiner ganzen Heeresmacht und allen Königreichen der Erde, die seiner Macht unterworfen waren, und allen Völkern Jerusalem und seine Tochterstädte belagerte, - also lautend:

The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh and Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon - and all army his and all [the] kingdoms of [the] earth [the] rule of hand his and all the peoples [were] fighting on Jerusalem and on all cities its saying.

2 So spricht Jahwe, der Gott Israels: Gehe hin und sage Zedekia, dem Könige von Juda, und sprich zu ihm: So spricht Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will diese Stadt der Gewalt des Königs von Babel überliefern, daß er sie niederbrenne,

Thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel go and you will say to Zedekiah [the] king of Judah and you will say to him thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to give the city this in [the] hand of [the] king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.

3 und du selbst wirst ihm nicht entrinnen, sondern du wirst ganz gewiß ergriffen und seiner Gewalt überliefert werden und du wirst den König von Babel Auge in Auge sehen, und er wird von Mund zu Mund mit dir reden, und du wirst nach Babel kommen!

And you not you will escape from hand his for certainly you will be captured and in hand his you will be given and eyes your [the] eyes of [the] king of Babylon they will see and mouth his with mouth your it will speak and Babylon you will go.

4 Jedoch höre das Wort Jahwes, Zedekia, König von Juda: So spricht Jahwe in Bezug auf dich: Du sollst nicht eines gewaltsamen Todes sterben;

Nevertheless hear [the] word of Yahweh O Zedekiah [the] king of Judah thus he says Yahweh on you not you will die by the sword.

5 in Frieden wirst du sterben, und wie man deinen Vätern, den früheren Königen, die dir vorangingen, Wohlgerüche bei der Bestattung verbrannte, so wird man sie auch dir verbrennen und um dich klagen: “Ach Gebieter!” denn das habe ich geredet - ist der Spruch Jahwes.

In peace you will die and like [the] burnings of fathers your the kings former who they were before you so people will burn for you and alas! O lord they will mourn for you for a promise I I have spoken [the] utterance of Yahweh.

6 Der Prophet Jeremia aber redete zu Zedekia, dem Könige von Juda, alle diese Worte in Jerusalem,

And he spoke Jeremiah the prophet to Zedekiah [the] king of Judah all the words these in Jerusalem.

7 während das Heer des Königs von Babel Jerusalem und alle noch übrig gebliebenen Städte Judas, Lachis und Aseka, belagerte; denn diese allein waren von den Städten Judas, den befestigten Städten, noch übrig geblieben.

And [the] army of [the] king of Babylon [were] fighting on Jerusalem and on all [the] cities of Judah which were left against Lachish and against Azekah for they they remained among [the] cities of Judah cities of fortification.

8 Das Wort, welches von seiten Jahwes an Jeremia erging, nachdem der König Zedekia mit dem gesamten Volk in Jerusalem eine Übereinkunft getroffen hatte, daß man eine Freilassung ausrufen wolle,

The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh after made the king Zedekiah a covenant with all the people which [was] in Jerusalem to proclaim to them liberty.

9 daß ein jeder seinen Sklaven und ein jeder seine Sklavin, soweit sie Hebräer und Hebräerinnen wären, frei lassen solle, indem niemand sie, seine judäischen Volksgenossen, zu Sklavendiensten zwingen dürfe.

To let go everyone [male] slave his and everyone female slave his Hebrew [masc] and Hebrew [fem] free [people] to not to work by them by a Jew brother his anyone.

10 Da leisteten alle Oberen und alles Volk, die der Übereinkunft beigetreten waren, Folge, indem ein jeder seinen Sklaven und ein jeder seine Sklavin freiließ, um sie nicht länger zu Sklavendiensten zu zwingen; sie leisteten Folge und ließen sie frei.

And they obeyed all the officials and all the people who they went in the covenant to let go everyone [male] slave his and everyone female slave his free [people] to not to work by them again and they obeyed and they let [them] go.

11 Nachmals aber holten sie die Sklaven und die Sklavinnen, die sie frei gelassen hatten, wieder zurück und machten sie mit Gewalt wieder zu Sklaven und Sklavinnen.

And they turned back after thus and they took back the [male] slaves and the female slaves whom they had let go free [people] (and they subjugated them *Qk) for [male] slaves and for female slaves.

12 Da erging das Wort Jahwes an Jeremia also:

And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah from with Yahweh saying.

13 So spricht Jahwe, der Gott Israels: Ich habe mit euren Vätern, als ich sie aus Ägypten führte, aus dem Lande, wo sie Sklaven waren, einen Bund geschlossen, indem ich verfügte:

Thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel I I made a covenant with ancestors your on [the] day brought out I them from [the] land of Egypt from a house of slaves saying.

14 “Nach Verlauf von sieben Jahren sollt ihr ein jeder seinen hebräischen Volksgenossen, der sich dir etwa verkauft haben sollte, freilassen; sechs Jahre soll er dein Sklave sein, dann sollst du ihn frei ausgehen lassen!” Eure Väter aber hörten nicht auf mich, noch neigten sie ihr Ohr mir zu.

From [the] end of seven years you will let go everyone brother his Hebrew who he will sell himself to you and he will serve you six years and you will let go him a free [person] from with you and not they listened ancestors your to me and not they inclined ear their.

15 Da bekehrtet ihr euch jetzt und thatet, was vor mir recht ist, indem ihr Freiheit für einander ausrieft und vor meinem Angesicht in dem Tempel, der nach meinem Namen benannt ist, eine Übereinkunft schloßt.

And you turned back you this day and you did the right in eyes my by proclaiming liberty everyone to neighbor his and you made a covenant before me in the house which it is called name my on it.

16 Nun aber habt ihr aufs Neue meinen Namen entweiht, indem ihr ein jeder seinen Sklaven und ein jeder seine Sklavin, die ihr ganz frei gegeben hattet, zurückholtet und mit Gewalt nötigtet, eure Sklaven und Sklavinnen zu sein.

And you turned back and you profaned name my and you took back everyone [male] slave his and everyone female slave his whom you had let go free [people] to desire their and you subjugated them to become of you [male] slaves and female slaves.

17 Darum spricht Jahwe also: Ihr habt nicht auf mich gehört, als es sich darum handelte, für einander und einer für den andern Freiheit auszurufen, - so will nun ich Freiheit für euch ausrufen, ist der Spruch Jahwes, zur Preisgabe an das Schwert, an die Pest und an den Hunger, und will euch zu einem Schreckbilde für alle Königreiche der Erde machen

Therefore thus he says Yahweh you not you have listened to me by proclaiming liberty everyone to brother his and everyone to neighbor his here I [am] about to proclaim to you liberty [the] utterance of Yahweh to the sword to pestilence and to famine and I will make you (into a terror *QK) to all [the] kingdoms of the earth.

18 und die Männer preisgeben, die meine Verfügung übertreten haben, die die Bestimmungen der Übereinkunft, die sie vor mir geschlossen hatten, nicht gehalten haben, die Versprechungen bei der Schlachtung des Kalbes, das sie entzweischnitten, um zwischen seinen Stücken hindurchzugehen, -

And I will make the people who have transgressed covenant my who not they have carried out [the] words of the covenant which they made before me the calf which they cut into two [pieces] and they passed between pieces its.

19 die Oberen Judas und die Oberen Jerusalems, die Kämmerer und die Priester und das gesamte Volk des Landes, die zwischen den Stücken des Kalbes hindurchgegangen sind -:

[the] officials of Judah and [the] officials of Jerusalem the court-officials and the priests and all [the] people of the land who passed between [the] pieces of the calf.

20 ja, ich will sie der Gewalt ihrer Feinde überliefern und der Gewalt derer, die ihnen nach dem Leben trachten, und ihre Leichname sollen den Vögeln unter dem Himmel und den Tieren auf dem Felde zum Fraße dienen.

And I will give them in [the] hand of enemies their and in [the] hand of [those who] seek life their and it will become corpse their food for [the] bird[s] of the heavens and for [the] animal[s] of the earth.

21 Zedekia aber, den König von Juda, und seine obersten Beamten will ich der Gewalt ihrer Feinde überliefern und der Gewalt derer, die ihnen nach dem Leben trachten, und der Gewalt der Heeresmacht des Königs von Babel, die jetzt von euch abgezogen sind.

And Zedekiah [the] king of Judah and officials his I will give in [the] hand of enemies their and in [the] hand of [those who] seek life their and in [the] hand of [the] army of [the] king of Babylon which have gone up from on you.

22 Fürwahr, ich werde sie, ist der Spruch Jahwes, wieder zu dieser Stadt zurückbeordern, daß sie sie belagern und einnehmen und niederbrennen, und die Städte Judas werde ich zur Einöde machen, daß niemand mehr darin wohnen soll.

Here I [am] about to give command [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will bring back them to the city this and they will fight on it and they will capture it and they will burn it with fire and [the] cities of Judah I will make a waste from not inhabitant.
