Jeremia 25
1 Das Wort, welches an Jeremia über das ganze Volk Juda im vierten Jahre Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs von Juda - das ist das erste Jahr Nebukadrezars, des Königs von Babel, - erging,
The word which it came to Jeremiah on all [the] people of Judah in the year fourth of Jehoiakim [the] son of Josiah [the] king of Judah it [was] the year first of Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon.
2 das der Prophet Jeremia zu dem ganzen Volke Juda und zu allen Bewohnern Jerusalems geredet hat, folgendermaßen:
Which he spoke Jeremiah the prophet to all [the] people of Judah and to all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem saying.
3 Vom dreizehnten Jahre Josias, des Sohnes Amons, des Königs von Juda, bis auf diesen Tag - nunmehr dreiundzwanzig Jahre lang - ist das Wort Jahwes an mich ergangen, und habe ich unermüdlich zu euch geredet -, aber ihr habt nicht gehört.
Since thir-teen year of Josiah [the] son of Amon [the] king of Judah and until - the day this this three and twenty year[s] it has come [the] word of Yahweh to me and I have spoken to you rising early and speaking and not you have listened.
4 Dazu hat Jahwe unermüdlich immer wieder alle seine Knechte, die Propheten, zu euch gesandt, aber ihr habt nicht gehört, noch neigtet ihr auch nur euer Ohr, um zu hören.
And he sent Yahweh to you all servants his the prophets rising early and sending and not you listened and not you inclined ear your to listen.
5 Ließ ich euch sagen: “Kehrt doch um ein jeder von seinem bösen Weg und von euren schlechten Thaten, so sollt ihr wohnen bleiben in dem Lande, das Jahwe euch und euren Vätern verliehen hat, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit!
Saying turn back please everyone from way his evil and from [the] wickedness of deeds your and dwell on the land which he gave Yahweh to you and to ancestors your from antiquity and until perpetuity.
6 Lauft aber nicht andern Göttern nach, um ihnen zu dienen und euch vor ihnen niederzuwerfen, und reizt mich nicht durch eurer Hände Werk zum Zorne, daß ich euch nicht Unheil zufüge!”
And may not you walk after gods other to serve them and to bow down to them and not you must provoke to anger me by [the] work of hands your and not I will do harm to you.
7 so hörtet ihr doch nicht auf mich - ist der Spruch Jahwes -, gerade um mich durch eurer Hände Werk zum Zorne zu reizen, zu eurem eigenen Verderben.
And not you have listened to me [the] utterance of Yahweh so as (to provoke to anger me *QK) by [the] work of hands your for harm of you.
8 Darum spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen also: Weil ihr auf meine Worte nicht gehört habt,
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts because that not you have listened to words my.
9 so will ich nun alle Völkerschaften des Nordens herbeiholen lassen - ist der Spruch Jahwes - und meinen Knecht Nebukadrezar, den König von Babel, und sie über dieses Land und über seine Bewohner und über alle diese Völker ringsum hereinbrechen lassen und will sie dem Banne preisgeben und zu einem Gegenstande des Entsetzens und Gezisches und ewiger Beschimpfung machen
Here I [am] about to send and I will fetch all [the] clans of [the] north [the] utterance of Yahweh and to Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon servant my and I will bring them on the land this and on inhabitants its and on all the nations these round about and I will totally destroy them and I will make them into a waste and into a hissing and into ruins of perpetuity.
10 und will aus ihrer Mitte Wonnejubel und Freudenjubel, Bräutigamsjubel und Brautjubel, das Geräusch der Handmühlen und das Licht der Lampen austilgen.
And I will destroy from them [the] sound of joy and [the] sound of gladness [the] sound of a bridegroom and [the] sound of a bride [the] sound of a hand-mill and [the] light of a lamp.
11 Dieses ganze Land aber soll zur Wüstenei, zur Einöde werden, und es sollen diese Völker dem Könige von Babel dienstbar sein siebzig Jahre lang.
And it will become all the land this a desolation a waste and they will serve the nations these [the] king of Babylon seventy year[s].
12 Nach Verlauf von vollen siebzig Jahren aber will ich am Könige von Babel und an jenem Volke - ist der Spruch Jahwes - ihre Missethat ahnden und an dem Lande der Chaldäer und will es für immer zu Einöden machen.
And it will be when are completed seventy year[s] I will visit [judgment] on [the] king of Babylon and on the nation that [the] utterance of Yahweh iniquity their and on [the] land of [the] Chaldeans and I will make it into desolations of perpetuity.
13 Und ich will an diesem Land alle meine Worte, die ich wider es geredet habe, in Erfüllung gehen lassen - alles in diesem Buche Niedergeschriebene, was Jeremia über alle Völker geweissagt hat:
(And I will bring *Qk) on the land that all words my which I spoke on it every [thing] written in the book this which he prophesied Jeremiah on all the nations.
14 denn auch ihnen werden mächtige Völker und gewaltige Könige Knechtschaft auferlegen, und ich will ihnen vergelten nach ihrem Thun und nach dem, wie sie selbst gehandelt haben.
For they will work by them also they nations many and kings great and I will repay to them according to deed[s] their and according to [the] work of hands their.
15 Denn also sprach Jahwe, der Gott Israels, zu mir: Nimm diesen Becher mit Wein aus meiner Hand und laß von ihm alle die Völker, zu denen ich dich senden werde, trinken,
For thus he said Yahweh [the] God of Israel to me take [the] cup of wine the rage this from hand my and you will make drink it all the nations which I [am] sending you to them.
16 daß sie trinken und schwanken und wahnwitzig werden vor dem Schwerte, das ich mitten unter sie sende!
And they will drink and they will stagger to and fro and they will act like mad people because of the sword which I [am] about to send between them.
17 Da nahm ich den Becher aus Jahwes Hand und ließ alle die Völker trinken, zu denen Jahwe mich gesandt hatte:
And I took the cup from [the] hand of Yahweh and I made drink all the nations which he sent me Yahweh to them.
18 Jerusalem und die Städte Judas, ihre Könige und ihre Obersten, um sie zur Wüstenei, zu einem Gegenstande des Entsetzens, des Gezisches und des Fluchs zu machen, wie es heute der Fall ist;
Jerusalem and [the] cities of Judah and kings its officials its to make them into a ruin into a waste into a hissing and into a curse as the day this.
19 den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, samt seinen Dienern und seinen obersten Beamten und seinem ganzen Volk
Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and servants his and officials his and all people his.
20 und das ganze Ereb; ferner alle Könige des Landes Uz und alle Könige des Philisterlands, nämlich Askalon und Gaza und Ekron und den Überrest von Asdod;
And every foreigner and all [the] kings of [the] land of Uz and all [the] kings of [the] land of [the] Philistines and Ashkelon and Gaza and Ekron and [the] remnant of Ashdod.
21 Edom und Moab und die Ammoniter;
Edom and Moab and [the] people of Ammon.
22 dazu alle Könige von Tyrus und alle Könige von Sidon und die Könige der Küsten jenseits des Meers;
And all [the] kings of Tyre and all [the] kings of Sidon and [the] kings of the coastland which [is] on [the] other side of the sea.
23 Dedan und Thema und Bus und alle mit abgestutztem Haarrand
And Dedan and Tema and Buz and all [those who] are cut off of [the] corner.
24 und alle Könige Arabiens und alle Könige des Ereb, die in der Wüste wohnen;
And all [the] kings of Arabia and all [the] kings of the Arab[s] who dwell in the wilderness.
25 dazu alle Könige Simris und alle Könige Elams und alle Könige Mediens;
And - all [the] kings of Zimri and all [the] kings of Elam and all [the] kings of Media.
26 dazu alle Könige des Nordens, wie sie einander nahe oder fern liegen, - kurz alle Königreiche auf dem Erdboden; der König von Sesach aber soll nach ihnen trinken!
And - all [the] kings of the north near and far each to brother his and all the kingdoms of the earth which [are] on [the] surface of the ground and [the] king of Sheshach he will drink after them.
27 Du sollst aber zu ihnen sprechen: So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Trinkt, daß ihr trunken werdet und speit und hinfallt, ohne wieder aufzustehen, vor dem Schwerte, das ich mitten unter euch sende!
And you will say to them. Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel drink and become drunk and vomit and fall down and not you will rise because of the sword which I [am] about to send between you.
28 Sollten sie sich aber weigern, den Becher aus deiner Hand zu nehmen, um zu trinken, so sage ihnen: So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Ihr müßt trinken!
And it will be that they will refuse to take the cup from hand your to drink and you will say to them thus he says Yahweh of hosts certainly you will drink.
29 Denn fürwahr, bei der Stadt, die nach meinem Namen genannt ist, will ich anheben, Unheil anzurichten, - und ihr wolltet leer ausgehen? Ihr sollt nicht leer ausgehen, denn ein Schwert rufe ich auf wider alle Bewohner der Erde! - ist der Spruch Jahwes der Heerscharen.
For here! on the city which it is called name my on it I [am] beginning to do harm and you certainly will you be exempt from punishment? not you will be exempt from punishment for a sword I [am] calling on all [the] inhabitants of the earth [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
30 Du aber sollst ihnen alle diese Worte verkünden und zu ihnen sprechen: Jahwe - von der Höhe her brüllt er und von seinem heiligen Wohnsitze läßt er seine Stimme erschallen! Laut brüllt er über seine Aue dahin, stimmt ein Jauchzen an gleich Keltertretern wider alle Bewohner der Erde.
And you you will prophesy to them all the words these and you will say to them Yahweh from a high place he will roar and from [the] dwelling of holiness his he will give forth voice his certainly he will roar on habitation his a shout like [those who] tread he will sing to all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
31 Bis ans Ende der Erde dringt das Getöse, denn hadern muß Jahwe mit den Völkern. Er geht ins Gericht mit allem Fleisch; die Frevler giebt er dem Schwerte preis! - ist der Spruch Jahwes.
It has come an uproar to [the] end of the earth for a controversy [belongs] to Yahweh on the nations [is] about to enter into judgment he to all flesh the wicked [people] he has delivered up them to the sword [the] utterance of Yahweh.
32 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Fürwahr, Unheil geht aus von einem Volke zum andern, und ein gewaltiger Sturm erhebt sich vom äußersten Rande der Erde her;
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts there! calamity [is] about to go forth from nation to nation and a storm great it will be roused from [the] remotest parts of [the] earth.
33 und die von Jahwe Erschlagenen werden jenes Tags daliegen von einem Ende der Erde bis zum andern. Man wird ihnen nicht die Totenklage halten, noch wird man sie einsammeln und sie begraben: als Mist auf dem Acker sollen sie dienen.
And they will be [those] slain of Yahweh on the day that from [the] end of the earth and to [the] end of the earth not they will be mourned and not they will be gathered and not they will be buried dung on [the] surface of the ground they will become.
34 Heult, ihr Hirten, und schreit, und wälzt euch im Staub umher, ihr Vornehmsten der Herde! Denn eure Zeit ist da, daß man euch schlachte, und die Zeit eurer Zerstreuung, und ihr sollt hinfallen gleich kostbarem Geschirr!
Wail O shepherds and cry out and roll in ashes O noble [ones] of the flock for they have been completed days your to slaughter and dispersions your and you will fall like a vessel of desire.
35 Da giebt's keine Zuflucht mehr für die Hirten, und kein Entrinnen für die Vornehmsten der Herde.
And it will be lost a place of escape from the shepherds and escape from [the] noble [ones] of the flock.
36 Horch! - das Geschrei der Hirten und das Geheul der Vornehmsten der Herde, weil Jahwe ihre Weide verwüstet,
[the] sound of [the] cry of distress of The shepherds and [the] wailing of [the] noble [ones] of the flock for [is] destroying Yahweh pasture their.
37 und die friedlichen Auen vor der Zornglut Jahwes vernichtet worden sind!
And they will be devastated [the] pastures of peace because of [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh.
38 Gleich einem Löwen hat er sein Dickicht verlassen; ja, zur Einöde ward ihr Land vor dem gewaltthätigen Schwert und vor seines Zornes Glut.
He has left like young lion lair his for it has become land their a waste because of [the] anger of the oppressor and because of [the] burning of anger his.
