Jeremia 19
1 So sprach Jahwe: Gehe hin und kaufe dir einen Krug, wie ihn der Töpfer macht, nimm sodann mit dir etliche von den Vornehmsten des Volks und von den Vornehmsten der Priester
Thus he said Yahweh go and you will buy a bottle of a potter of earthenware and some of [the] elders of the people and some of [the] elders of the priests.
2 und gehe hinaus ins Thal Ben Hinnom, das vor dem Scherbenthore liegt, und verkündige dort die Worte, die ich zu dir reden werde,
And you will go out to [the] valley of Ben Hinnom which [is at] [the] entrance of [the] gate of (the potsherd *Qk) and you will proclaim there the words which I will speak to you.
3 und sprich: Hört das Wort Jahwes, ihr Könige von Juda und ihr Bewohner Jerusalems! So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Fürwahr, ich will Unheil über diesen Ort bringen, daß jedem, der davon hören wird, die Ohren gellen sollen!
And you will say hear [the] word of Yahweh O kings of Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring calamity on the place this which every [one who] hears of it they will tingle ears his.
4 Darum weil sie mich verließen und diesen Ort verkannten und an ihm andern Göttern, die sie nicht kannten, räucherten - sie wie ihre Väter und die Könige Judas -, und diesen Ort mit dem Blut Unschuldiger erfüllten
Because - that they have forsaken me and they have treated as foreign the place this and they have made smoke in it to gods other which not they knew them they and ancestors their and [the] kings of Judah and they have filled the place this [the] blood of innocent [ones].
5 und die Baalshöhen erbauten, um ihre Söhne als Brandopfer für den Baal zu verbrennen, was ich weder geboten noch angeordnet habe, und was mir nie in den Sinn gekommen ist:
And they have built [the] high places of Baal to burn children their in the fire burnt offerings to Baal which not I commanded and not I spoke and not it came up on heart my.
6 darum, fürwahr, soll die Zeit kommen, ist der Spruch Jahwes, wo man diesen Ort nicht mehr” Topheth” und “Thal Ben Hinnom” nennen wird, sondern “Würgethal”.
Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and not it will be called to the place this again Topheth and [the] valley of Ben Hinnom that except [the] valley of slaughter.
7 Da werde ich dann die Klugheit Judas und Jerusalems an diesem Ort ausschütten und sie auf der Flucht vor ihren Feinden durchs Schwert fällen und durch die, welche ihnen nach dem Leben trachten; ihre Leichname aber will ich den Vögeln unter dem Himmel und den Tieren auf dem Felde zum Fraße preisgeben
And I will make void [the] plan of Judah and Jerusalem in the place this and I will make fall them by the sword before enemies their and by [the] hand of [those who] seek life their and I will give corpse[s] their to food to [the] bird[s] of the heavens and to [the] animal[s] of the earth.
8 und will diese Stadt zu einem Gegenstande des Entsetzens und des Gezisches machen: wer irgend an ihr vorüberzieht, soll sich entsetzen und zischen ob all' der Schläge, die sie betroffen haben.
And I will make the city this into a waste and into a hissing every [one who] passes by at it he will be appalled and he may hiss on all wounds its.
9 Und ich will ihnen das Fleisch ihrer Söhne und das Fleisch ihrer Töchter zu essen geben, und sie sollen einer das Fleisch des andern essen, in der Drangsal und in der Bedrängnis, in die sie ihre Feinde und die, welche ihnen nach dem Leben trachten, bringen werden.
And I will make eat them [the] flesh of sons their and [the] flesh of daughters their and everyone [the] flesh of neighbor his they will eat in [the] siege and in [the] distress which they will press them enemies their and [those who] seek life their.
10 Und du sollst den Krug vor den Augen der Männer, die mit dir gegangen sind, zerbrechen
And you will break the bottle to [the] eyes of the men who go with you.
11 und zu ihnen sagen: So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: So werde ich dieses Volk und diese Stadt zerbrechen, wie man Töpfergeschirr zerbricht, das nie mehr ganz gemacht werden kann, und im Topheth wird man begraben, weil sonst kein Raum zum Begraben mehr vorhanden ist.
And you will say to them thus he says - Yahweh of hosts thus I will break the people this and the city this just as someone breaks [the] vessel of the potter which not it will be able to be repaired again and in Topheth people will bury from not room to bury.
12 Also werde ich mit diesem Orte verfahren - ist der Spruch Jahwes -, und mit seinen Bewohnern, so daß ich diese Stadt zu einem Topheth mache:
Thus I will do to the place this [the] utterance of Yahweh and to inhabitants its and to make the city this like Topheth.
13 da sollen dann die Häuser Jerusalems und die Häuser der Könige von Juda wie die Stätte des Topheth unrein werden - alle die Häuser, auf deren Dächern sie dem gesamten Himmelsheere geräuchert und andern Göttern Trankopfer gespendet haben.
And they will be [the] houses of Jerusalem and [the] houses of [the] kings of Judah like [the] place of Topheth the unclean [things] to all the houses which people made smoke on roofs their to all [the] host of the heavens and they poured out drink offerings to gods other.
14 Als nun Jeremia vom Topheth, wohin ihn Jahwe zu prophetischer Verkündigung gesandt hatte, zurückkam, trat er in den Vorhof des Tempels Jahwes und sprach zum ganzen Volke:
And he came Jeremiah from Topheth where he had sent him Yahweh there to prophesy and he stood in [the] court of [the] house of Yahweh and he said to all the people.
15 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Fürwahr, ich will über diese Stadt und über alle zu ihr gehörenden Städte all' das Unheil kommen lassen, das ich ihr angedroht habe, weil sie sich halsstarrig gezeigt und auf meine Worte nicht gehört haben.
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I ([am] about to bring *Qk) to the city this and on all cities its all the calamity which I have spoken on it for they have stiffened neck their to not to hear words my.
