Jeremia 16

1 Alsdann erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:

And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.

2 Du sollst dir kein Weib nehmen, noch Söhne und Töchter haben an diesem Orte!

Not you must take for yourself a wife and not they will belong to you sons and daughters in the place this.

3 Denn so spricht Jahwe in betreff der Söhne und der Töchter, die an diesem Orte geboren werden, und in betreff ihrer Mütter, die sie gebären, und in betreff ihrer Väter, die sie in diesem Lande zeugen:

For thus - he says Yahweh on the sons and on the daughters born in the place this and on mothers their who bore them and on fathers their who fathered them in the land this.

4 An qualvollen Todesarten werden sie sterben; man wird ihnen nicht die Totenklage halten, noch sie begraben: als Mist auf dem Acker sollen sie dienen. Durch Schwert und Hunger sollen sie aufgerieben werden, und ihre Leichname sollen den Vögeln unter dem Himmel und den Tieren auf dem Felde zum Fraße dienen.

Deaths of diseases they will die not they will be mourned and not they will be buried dung on [the] surface of the ground they will become and by the sword and by famine they will come to an end and it will become corpse[s] their food for [the] bird[s] of the heavens and for [the] animal[s] of the earth.

5 Ja, so spricht Jahwe: Nicht sollst du in ein Haus des Jammers eintreten, noch hingehen, um die Totenklage zu halten, noch ihnen Beileid bezeugen; denn ich habe meinen Frieden von diesem Volke genommen, - ist der Spruch Jahwes, - die Gnade und das Erbarmen,

For thus - he says Yahweh may not you enter a house of mourning and may not you go to lament and may not you show sympathy to them for I have withdrawn peace my from with the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh the covenant loyalty and compassion.

6 und groß und klein sollen in diesem Lande sterben, ohne daß man sie begräbt, noch ihnen die Totenklage hält, noch auch ihretwegen sich Einritzungen macht oder eine Glatze schert.

And they will die great [people] and insignificant [people] in the land this not they will be buried and not people will mourn for them and not anyone will cut himself and not anyone will make himself bald for them.

7 Auch wird man ihretwegen nicht Trauerbrot brechen, um einen wegen eines Gestorbenen zu trösten, noch wird man sie den Trostbecher trinken lassen wegen ihres Vaters oder wegen ihrer Mutter.

And not people will break for them on mourning to comfort him on a dead [person] and not people will give to drink them a cup of consolations on father his and on mother his.

8 Ebensowenig sollst du in ein Haus gehen, wo ein Gelage gehalten wird, um dich mit ihnen zum Essen und zum Trinken niederzusetzen.

And a house of a feast not you must go to sit with them to eat and to drink.

9 Denn so spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Fürwahr, ich will aus diesem Orte vor euren Augen und in euren Tagen Wonnejubel und Freudenjubel, Bräutigamsjubel und Brautjubel verschwinden lassen.

For thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to cause to cease from the place this to eyes your and in days your [the] sound of joy and [the] sound of gladness [the] sound of a bridegroom and [the] sound of a bride.

10 Wenn du nun diesem Volk alle diese Worte verkündigst, und man dich fragt: Warum hat uns Jahwe all' dieses große Unheil angedroht, und was ist unsere Verschuldung und was unsere Sünde, die wir gegen Jahwe, unseren Gott begangen haben?

And it will be that you will tell to the people this all the words these and they will say to you concerning what? has he spoken Yahweh on us all the calamity great this and what? [is] iniquity our and what? [is] sin our which we have sinned to Yahweh God our.

11 so sage ihnen: Weil mich eure Väter verlassen haben, ist der Spruch Jahwes, und andern Göttern nachfolgten und ihnen dienten und sich vor ihnen niederwarfen; mich aber verließen sie und beobachteten mein Gesetz nicht.

And you will say to them on that they forsook ancestors your me [the] utterance of Yahweh and they walked after gods other and they served them and they bowed down to them and me they forsook and law my not they kept.

12 Ihr aber habt noch übler gehandelt als eure Väter, indem ihr ja doch starrsinnig ein jeder seinem eigenen bösen Sinne folgt, ohne auf mich zu hören.

And you you have done evil to act more than ancestors your and here you [are] walking everyone after [the] stubbornness of own heart his wicked to not to listen to me.

13 So will ich euch denn aus diesem Lande fortschleudern in jenes Land, das euch unbekannt war, euch wie euren Vätern, auf daß ihr daselbst andern Göttern dienet Tag und Nacht, - dieweil ich euch kein Erbarmen schenken werde!

And I will throw out you from on the land this to the land which not you have known you and ancestors your and you will serve there gods other by day and night that not I will give to you favor.

14 Darum fürwahr, es kommt die Zeit, ist der Spruch Jahwes, da wird man nicht mehr sagen: So wahr Jahwe lebt, der die Israeliten aus Ägypten hergeführt hat!

Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and not it will be said again [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt.

15 sondern: So wahr Jahwe lebt, der die Israeliten aus dem Nordland und aus allen den Ländern, wohin er sie verstoßen hatte, hergeführt hat! Und ich will sie zurückbringen in ihr Land, das ich ihren Vätern verliehen habe.

That except [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up [the] people of Israel from a land of [the] north and from all the lands where he had banished them there towards and I will bring back them to land their which I gave to ancestors their.

16 Fürwahr, ich will zahlreiche Fischer entbieten - ist der Spruch Jahwes -, die sollen sie herausfischen, und darnach will ich zahlreiche Jäger entbieten, die sollen sie erjagen auf jeglichem Berg und auf jeglichem Hügel und in den Felsenklüften.

Here I [am] about to send (for fishermen *QK) many [the] utterance of Yahweh and they will fish out them and after thus I will send for many hunters and they will hunt them from on every mountain and from on every hill and from [the] clefts of the rocks.

17 Denn meine Augen sind auf alle ihre Wege gerichtet; sie bleiben nicht vor mir verborgen, noch ist ihre Verschuldung vor meinen Blicken versteckt.

For eyes my [are] on all ways their not they have been hidden from to before me and not it has been concealed iniquity their from before eyes my.

18 Zuerst aber will ich ihnen ihre Verschuldung und ihre Sünde doppelt vergelten, weil sie mein Land durch das Aas ihrer Scheusale entweiht und mit ihren Greueln mein Erbteil erfüllt haben.

And I will repay first [the] double of iniquity their and sin their because have profaned they land my with [the] corpse[s] of detestable things their and abominations their they have filled inheritance my.

19 O Jahwe, meine Kraft und meine Burg und meine Zuflucht in Drangsalszeit, zu dir werden die Völker von den Enden der Erde kommen und sprechen: Nur Trug haben unsere Väter zum Besitze bekommen, nichtige Götzen, von denen keiner zu nützen vermag.

O Yahweh strength my and stronghold my and place of escape my in a day of trouble to you nations they will come from [the] ends of [the] earth so they may say surely falsehood they possessed ancestors our futility and not [there was] in them a [thing that] profits.

20 Kann wohl ein Mensch sich Götter machen? - denn solche sind ja keine Götter!

¿ Will he make for himself anyone gods and they not [are] God.

21 Darum will ich sie nur diesesmal fühlen lassen, - ja, ich will sie meine Hand und meine Stärke fühlen lassen, und sie sollen erkennen, daß mein Name Jahwe ist!

Therefore here I [am] about to make know them at the time this I will make know them hand my and might my and they will know that name my [is] Yahweh.
