Jeremia 14
1 Was als Wort Jahwes an Jeremia erging in betreff der großen Dürre:
Which it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah on [the] matters of the droughts.
2 Es trauert Juda und die seine Thore bevölkern, sitzen abgehärmt, tieftraurig am Boden, und das Wehgeschrei Jerusalems steigt empor.
It is in mourning Judah and gates its they are languishing they are in mourning to the earth and [the] outcry of Jerusalem it has gone up.
3 Ihre Vornehmen senden ihre Untergebenen nach Wasser aus; sie kommen an die Cisternen, aber Wasser finden sie nicht: sie kehren zurück mit leeren Gefäßen, sie sind bestürzt und voll Scham und verhüllen ihr Haupt.
And noble [ones] their they have sent (servants their *QK) for water they have come to [the] cisterns not they have found water they have returned vessels their empty they are ashamed and they are humiliated and they have covered head their.
4 Um des Ackerbodens willen, der vor Entsetzen erstarrt ist, weil kein Regen im Lande gefallen, sind die Ackerer bestürzt, verhüllen ihr Haupt.
For sake of the ground [which] it is cracked for not it has come rain in the land they are ashamed farmers they have covered head their.
5 Ja selbst die Hirschkuh auf dem Felde gebiert und läßt ihr Junges im Stiche, denn nichts Grünes ist gewachsen;
For also a doe in the field it has given birth and it has abandoned for not it is grass.
6 die Wildesel stehen auf den kahlen Höhen und schnappen nach Luft, wie die Schakale: verschmachtet sind ihre Augen, denn es giebt kein Kraut.
And wild donkeys they have stood on [the] bare heights they have panted for breath like jackals they have failed eyes their for there not [is] vegetation.
7 Wenn denn unsere Missethaten wider uns Zeugnis ablegen, Jahwe, so handle um deines Namens willen; denn zahlreich sind unsere Übertretungen, an dir haben wir gesündigt.
Though iniquities our they have testified against us O Yahweh act for [the] sake of name your for they are many apostasies our to you we have sinned.
8 O Hoffnung Israels, sein Heiland in der Zeit der Not, warum bist du wie ein Fremdling im Land und wie ein Wanderer, der nur um zu übernachten sein Zelt aufgespannt hat?
O hope of Israel deliverer its in a time of distress why? are you like a sojourner in the land and like a traveler [who] he has turned aside to spend [the] night.
9 Warum bist du wie ein bestürzter Mann, einem Kriegsmanne gleich, der nicht zu helfen vermag? Und doch bist du in unserer Mitte, Jahwe, und nach deinem Namen sind wir genannt: o laßt uns nicht fahren!
Why? are you like a person astounded like a warrior [who] not he is able to save and you [are] in midst our O Yahweh and name your on us it is called may not you abandon us.
10 Doch also spricht Jahwe in betreff dieses Volks: Also liebten sie umherzuschweifen, hemmten ihre Füße nicht, - Jahwe aber hatte kein Wohlgefallen an ihnen: nun gedenkt er ihrer Schuld und ahndet ihre Sünden!
Thus he says Yahweh of the people this thus they have loved to wander feet their not they have restrained and Yahweh not he has accepted them now he will remember iniquity their so he may punish sins their.
11 Sodann sprach Jahwe zu mir: Du sollst nicht für dieses Volk zum Heil flehen!
And he said Yahweh to me may not you pray for the people this for good.
12 Wenn sie fasten, so höre ich nicht auf ihr Flehen, und wenn sie Brandopfer und Speisopfer darbringen, so habe ich kein Gefallen daran: vielmehr durch Schwert und Hunger und Pest will ich sie vertilgen!
For they will fast not I [will be] listening to cry of entreaty their even if they will offer up a burnt offering and a grain offering not I [will be] accepting them for by the sword and by famine and by pestilence I [will be] bringing to an end them.
13 Da sprach ich: Ach Herr Jahwe, die Propheten sagen ihnen ja: Ihr werdet das Schwert nicht zu sehen bekommen, noch wird euch Hungersnot treffen, sondern beständiges Heil lasse ich euch an dieser Stätte zu teil werden!
And I said alas! - O Lord Yahweh here! the prophets [are] saying to them not you will see sword and famine not it will happen to you for peace of reliability I will give to you in the place this.
14 Jahwe aber sprach zu mir: Lüge weissagen die Propheten in meinem Namen; ich habe sie nicht gesandt und sie nicht beordert, noch zu ihnen geredet. Erlogene Gesichte und nichtige Wahrsagerei und selbstersonnenen Trug weissagen sie euch!
And he said Yahweh to me falsehood the prophets [are] prophesying in name my not I sent them and not I appointed them and not I spoke to them a vision of falsehood and divination (and an idol *QK) (and [the] deceitfulness of *Qk) own heart their they [are] prophesying to you.
15 Darum spricht Jahwe also - in betreff der Propheten, die in meinem Namen weissagen und die, obwohl ich sie nicht gesandt habe, dennoch behaupten: Weder Schwert noch Hunger wird dieses Land treffen! - durch Schwert und durch Hunger sollen selbige Propheten endigen.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh on the prophets who are prophesying in name my and I not I sent them and they [are] saying sword and famine not it will happen in the land this by the sword and by famine they will meet their end the prophets those.
16 Die Leute aber, denen sie weissagen, sollen auf den Gassen Jerusalems vom Hunger und Schwert hingestreckt daliegen, ohne daß sie jemand bestattet, sie, ihre Weiber, ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter - und ausschütten will ich über sie ihre Bosheit!
And the people whom they [are] prophesying to them they will be thrown out in [the] streets of Jerusalem because of - the famine and the sword and not a burier [will belong] to them them wives their and sons their and daughters their and I will pour out on them wickedness their.
17 Du aber sage ihnen dieses Wort: Zerfließen sollen meine Augen in Thränen bei Nacht und bei Tag und nicht aufhören, denn fürchterlich zerschlagen ward die Jungfrau, die Tochter meines Volks, ganz unheilbar verwundet!
And you will speak to them the word this let them run down eyes my tear[s] night and by day and may not they cease for a breaking great she has been broken [the] virgin of [the] daughter of people my a wound made sick very.
18 Gehe ich hinaus aufs Feld, siehe da - vom Schwert Erschlagene; gehe ich hinein in die Stadt, siehe da - Hungerqualen! Ja, Propheten wie Priester wandern in ein Land, das sie nicht kennen.
If I went out the field and there! [those] slain of a sword and if I went the city and there! diseases of famine for both prophet as well as priest they have gone about to a land and not they know.
19 Hast du denn Juda ganz verworfen oder bist du Zions überdrüssig? Warum hast du uns geschlagen, daß es keine Heilung für uns giebt? Man harrt auf Heil, aber da giebt's nichts Gutes, - und auf eine Zeit der Heilung, aber siehe da: Bestürzung!
¿ Really have you rejected Judah or? Zion does it abhor self your why? have you struck us and not [belongs] to us healing we waited eagerly for peace and there not [was] good and for a time of healing and there! terror.
20 Wir erkennen, Jahwe, unseren Frevel, die Schuld unserer Väter, daß wir an dir gesündigt haben.
We know O Yahweh wickedness our [the] iniquity of ancestors our for we have sinned to you.
21 Verschmähe doch nicht, um deines Namens willen, - verunehre doch nicht den Thron deiner Herrlichkeit: gedenke an -, brich nicht deinen Bund mit uns!
May not you spurn for [the] sake of name your may not you treat with contempt [the] throne of glory your remember may not you break covenant your with us.
22 Giebt's etwa unter den Götzen der Heiden Regenspender, oder spendet etwa der Himmel von selbst Regenschauer? Bist du es nicht, Jahwe, unser Gott, so daß wir auf dich harren müssen? Denn du hast alles dieses gemacht!
¿ [are] there Among [the] vanities of the nations [those who] send rain and or? the heavens do they give copious showers ¿ not you [is] it O Yahweh God our so we may wait eagerly for you for you you have done all these [things].
