Jesaja 9

1 Denn nicht wird Düster bleiben, wo Drangsal war! In der früheren Zeit hat er Schmach über das Land Sebulon und das Land Naphthali gebracht, aber in der künftigen Zeit wird er die Straße nach dem Meere, das Gelände am Jordan, den Bezirk der Heiden, zu Ehren bringen.

For not gloom [will belong] to [that] which distress [belonged] to it like the time former he treated with contempt [the] land of Zebulun and [the] land of Naphtali and the latter [time] he will make honored [the] way of the sea [the] other side of the Jordan Galilee of the nations.

2 Das Volk, das in Finsternis wandert, wird ein großes Licht erblicken; über denen, die in umnachtetem Lande wohnen, wird ein Licht erglänzen.

The people which walk in the darkness they will see a light great [those who] dwell in a land of deep darkness a light it will shine on them.

3 Du wirst reichen Jubel geben, wirst große Freude verleihen! Sie werden sich vor dir freuen, wie man sich in der Ernte freut, wie man jubelt, wenn man Beute teilt.

You will multiply the nation (to it *QK) you will magnify the rejoicing they will rejoice before you like [the] rejoicing at the harvest just as people are glad when divide they plunder.

4 Denn das Joch, das sie drückt, und den Stab auf ihrem Nacken, den Stock ihres Treibers, zerbrichst du wie am Tage der Midianiterschlacht.

For - [the] yoke of burden its and [the] staff of shoulder its [the] rod of the [one who] oppresses it you will shatter like [the] day of Midian.

5 Denn jeglicher Schuh, der im Getümmel einhertritt, und die durch Blutlachen dahingeschleiften Gewänder werden verbrannt, dem Feuer zur Speise!

For every boot [which] marches with shaking and cloak rolled in blood and it will be for burning fuel of a fire.

6 Denn ein Kind wird uns geboren, ein Sohn wird uns gegeben, und die Herrschaft kommt auf seine Schulter, und er nennt ihn: Wunderrat, Gottheld, Ewiger, Friedensfürst.

For a child he will be born to us a son he will be given to us and it was the dominion on shoulder his and someone called name his a wonder a counselor God mighty father of perpetuity prince of peace.

7 Groß ist die Herrschaft und der Friede ohne Ende auf dem Throne Davids und über seinem Königreiche, indem er es festigt und stützt durch gerechtes Gericht von nun an auf ewig. Der Eifer Jahwes der Heerscharen wird solches thun!

(To [the] increase of *Qk) the dominion and to peace there not [will be] an end on [the] throne of David and over kingdom his to establish it and to sustain it in justice and in righteousness from now and until perpetuity [the] zeal of Yahweh of hosts it will accomplish this.

8 Der Herr hat ein Wort wider Jakob ausgesandt - das wird in Israel niederfallen,

A word he has sent [the] Lord in Jacob and it will fall on Israel.

9 und das ganze Volk soll es spüren, Ephraim und die Bewohner Samarias - wider den Hochmut und stolzen Sinn, in dem sie sprachen:

And they will know the people all of it Ephraim and [the] inhabitant[s] of Samaria with pride and with greatness of heart saying.

10 Backsteine sind eingefallen, aber mit Quadern wollen wir aufbauen! Sykomoren sind umgehauen, aber Cedern wollen wir an ihre Stelle setzen!

Bricks they have fallen and hewn [stone] we will rebuild sycamores they have been cut down and cedars we will substitute.

11 Und Jahwe erhob Rezin über sie und stachelte fort und fort ihre Feinde auf,

And he set on high Yahweh [the] opponents of Rezin against him and enemies his he provoked.

12 Aram im Osten und die Philister im Westen, und sie fraßen Israel mit vollem Maule. Bei alledem wandte sich sein Zorn nicht, und blieb seine Hand noch ausgereckt.

Aram from [the] east and Philistines from [the] west and they consumed Israel with all [the] mouth for all this not it has turned back anger his and still hand his [is] stretched out.

13 Aber das Volk wandte sich nicht zu dem, der es schlug, und nach Jahwe der Heerscharen fragten sie nicht.

And the people not it has turned back to the [one who] struck it and Yahweh of hosts not they have sought.

14 Da hieb Jahwe von Israel ab Kopf und Schwanz, Palmzweig und Binse, an einem Tage -

And he cut off Yahweh from Israel head and tail palm branch and bulrush day one.

15 die Vornehmen und Angesehenen sind der Kopf, und die Propheten, die Lügen reden, sind der Schwanz -

An old [man] and [one] uplifted of face he [is] the head and a prophet [who] teaches falsehood he [is] the tail.

16 und die Führer dieses Volks wurden Irreleiter und die Geführten zu Grunde gerichtet.

And they were [the] guides the people this misleading and [those who] were guided by him [were] confused.

17 Deshalb verschont der Herr weder seine junge Mannschaft, noch erbarmt er sich seiner Waisen und Witwen; denn sie alle sind Ruchlose und Bösewichter, und jeder Mund redet Schändliches. Bei alledem wandte sich sein Zorn nicht, und blieb seine Hand noch ausgereckt.

There-fore on young men its not he rejoices - [the] Lord and fatherless ones its and widows its not he has compassion on for all of it [is] godless and doing evil and every mouth [is] speaking disgraceful folly for all this not it has turned back anger his and still hand his [is] stretched out.

18 Denn die Gottlosigkeit brannte wie Feuer, das Dornen und Gestrüpp verzehrt, und zündete das Dickicht des Waldes an, daß es in hochwirbelndem Rauch aufging.

For it has burned like fire wickedness thorn[s] and bush[es] it consumes and it has kindled [the] thickets of the forest and they have swirled a rising up of smoke.

19 Durch den Ingrimm Jahwes der Heerscharen brannte das Land aus, und wurde das Volk wie dem Feuer zur Speise, keiner verschonte den andern!

By [the] wrath of Yahweh of hosts it has been scorched [the] land and it was the people like fuel of a fire each brother his not they spared.

20 Rissen sie rechts Stücke ab, so blieben sie doch hungrig; fraßen sie links, so wurden sie doch nicht satt. Sie fraßen ein jeder das Fleisch seines eigenen Arms:

And it devoured on [the] right [side] and it was hungry and it ate on [the] left [side] and not they were satisfied everyone [the] flesh of own arm his they ate.

21 Manasse den Ephraim und Ephraim den Manasse, sie beide vereint wider Juda, - bei alledem wandte sich sein Zorn nicht, und blieb seine Hand noch ausgereckt.

Manasseh Ephraim and Ephraim Manasseh together they on Judah for all this not it has turned back anger his and still hand his [is] stretched out.
