Jesaja 61
1 Der Geist des Herrn, Jahwes, ruht auf mir, dieweil Jahwe mich gesalbt hat, um den Elenden frohe Botschaft zu bringen, mich gesandt hat, zu verbinden, die gebrochenes Herzens sind, um den Gefangenen Freilassung anzukündigen und den Gefesselten hellen Ausblick,
The Ruach Yahweh [Spirit of He sustains breathing] is on me; because Adonai has anointed me to preach good news to the poor and humble. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to let out into the light those bound in the dark, and to restore the crushed with forgiveness;
2 um ein Jahr des Wohlgefallens Jahwes auszurufen und einen Tag der Rache unseres Gottes, um alle Trauernden zu trösten,
to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3 daß er den Trauernden Zions zulege, ihnen verleihe Schmuck statt Asche, Freudenöl statt Trauer, Prachtgewand statt verzagten Geistes. Und man wird sie nennen Terebinthen der Gerechtigkeit, Pflanzung Jahwes, durch die er sich verherrlicht.
to provide for those who mourn in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of tehilah ·praise song· for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Adonai, that he may be glorified.
4 Und sie werden uralte Ruinen wiederum bauen, werden die Trümmer der Altvordern wieder herstellen, werden verödete Städte erneuern, die Trümmer längstvergangener Geschlechter.
They will rebuild the old ruins. They will raise up the places long devastated. They will repair the ruined cities, that have been devastated for many generations.
5 Fremde werden dastehen und eure Herden weiden, und Fremdlinge werden eure Ackerleute und Winzer sein.
Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards.
6 Ihr aber sollt Priester Jahwes genannt werden, Diener unseres Gottes wird man euch heißen. Die Güter der Völker werdet ihr genießen und in ihren Reichtum werdet ihr eintreten.
But you will be called Adonai’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations, and you will boast in their kavod ·weighty glory·.
7 Dafür, daß sie zwiefache Schande und Beschimpfung als ihren Besitzanteil erhalten hatten, darum werden sie nun Zwiefaches in ihrem Lande zum Besitze bekommen: ewige Freude wird ihnen zu teil werden.
Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land, they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.
8 Denn ich, Jahwe, bin ein Freund des Rechts, hasse frevelhaften Raub. Ich gebe ihnen ihren Lohn in Treue und bewillige ihnen einen immerwährenden Bund.
“For I, Adonai, 'ahav ·affectionately love· mishpat ·justice·. I hate robbery and iniquity. I will give them their reward in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· with them.
9 Und ihre Nachkommen werden bekannt sein unter den Völkern und ihre Sprößlinge inmitten der Nationen: alle, die sie sehen, werden sie dafür erkennen, daß sie ein Geschlecht sind, das Jahwe gesegnet hat.
Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which Adonai has blessed.”
10 Voller Wonne will ich sein über Jahwe, jubeln soll meine Seele über meinen Gott, daß er mich bekleidet hat mit Gewändern des Heils, mit dem Mantel der Gerechtigkeit mich umhüllt, - wie ein Bräutigam, der den Kopfschmuck herrichtet, und wie eine Braut, die ihren Brautstaat anlegt.
I will greatly rejoice in Adonai! My soul will be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of yesha' ·salvation·. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 Denn gleich der Erde, die ihr Gewächs hervorbringt, und gleich einem Garten, der seine Sämereien sprossen läßt, so wird der Herr, Jahwe, Gerechtigkeit hervorsprossen lassen und Ruhm angesichts aller Völker.
For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up; so the Lord Adonai will cause righteousness and tehilah ·praise song· to spring up before all the nations.
