Jesaja 59
1 Fürwahr, die Hand Jahwes ist nicht zu kurz, um zu erretten, und sein Ohr nicht zu stumpf, um zu hören;
Here! not it is [too] short [the] hand of Yahweh for saving and not it is [too] heavy ear his for hearing.
2 sondern eure Verschuldungen haben euch von eurem Gotte getrennt, und eure Sünden haben bewirkt, daß er das Antlitz vor euch verbarg, um nicht zu hören.
For except iniquities your they have been separating between you and between God your and sins your they have hidden face from you from hearing.
3 Denn eure Hände sind mit Blut befleckt und eure Finger mit Verschuldung; eure Lippen haben Lügen geredet, eure Zunge spricht Frevel.
For hands your they are defiled with blood and fingers your with iniquity lips your they have spoken falsehood tongue your injustice it mutters.
4 Keiner sagt aus in Redlichkeit und keiner rechtet mit Wahrhaftigkeit: - auf Nichtiges verläßt man sich und redet Unbegründetes, man geht mit Mühsal schwanger und gebiert Unheil!
There not [is one who] calls in righteousness and there not [is one who] enters into judgment in truth [they are] trusting on emptiness and they speak worthlessness they conceive mischief and they bring forth wickedness.
5 Natterneier hecken sie aus und Spinnengewebe weben sie. Wer von ihren Eiern ißt, muß sterben, und wird eins zerdrückt, so wird eine Otter ausgeheckt.
Eggs of a viper they have hatched and webs of a spider they weave the [one who] eats any of eggs their he will die and the pressed [egg] it is hatched a snake.
6 Ihre Gewebe dienen nicht zu einem Kleide, noch kann man sich mit ihren Machwerken bedecken. Ihre Machwerke sind Machwerke des Unheils, und Verübung von Gewaltthat ist das Thun ihrer Hände.
Webs their not they will become clothing and not people will cover themselves with products their products their [are] products of wickedness and deed[s] of violence [is] in hands their.
7 Ihre Füße laufen zum Bösen und eilen, unschuldiges Blut zu vergießen. Ihre Gedanken sind Gedanken des Unheils, Verheerung und Zerstörung sind auf ihren Straßen.
Feet their to evil they run and they may hasten to shed blood innocent thoughts their [are] thoughts of wickedness devastation and destruction [are] on highways their.
8 Den Weg zum Frieden kennen sie nicht, und es giebt kein Recht auf ihren Geleisen; ihre Pfade haben sie sich krumm gemacht: keiner, der sie betritt, will etwas von Frieden wissen.
A way of peace not they know and there not [is] justice on tracks their paths their they have made crooked themselves any [one who] treads on it not he knows peace.
9 Darum blieb das Recht fern von uns, und Gerechtigkeit kommt uns nicht zu nahe. Wir harren auf Licht, aber da ist Finsternis, auf Lichtstrahlen - in tiefem Dunkel wandeln wir dahin!
There-fore it is far justice from us and not it reaches us righteousness we wait eagerly for the light and there! darkness for gleams of light in gloom we walk.
10 Tappen müssen wir wie Blinde an der Wand und wie Augenlose müssen wir umhertappen; am hellen Mittage straucheln wir wie in der Dämmerung: unter Kraftstrotzenden gleichen wir den Toten.
We grope for like blind [people] a wall and like there not [are] eyes we grope we have stumbled at noon like the twilight among the fat people like dead [people].
11 So brummen wir alle wie die Bären und girren immerfort wie die Tauben. Wir harren auf Recht, aber es giebt keines, auf Heil, aber es ist fern von uns.
We growl like bears all of us and like doves certainly we moan we wait eagerly for justice and there not for deliverance it is far from us.
12 Denn zahlreich sind unsere Übertretungen dir gegenüber, und unsere Sünden zeugen wider uns. Denn unsere Übertretungen sind uns wohl bewußt, und unsere Verschuldungen kennen wir wohl!
For they are many transgressions our before you and sins our it has testified against us that transgressions our [are] with us and iniquities our we know them.
13 Man wurde abtrünnig von Jahwe und verleugnete ihn und entzog sich der Nachfolge unseres Gottes; Bedrückung und Abfall redete man, ging schwanger mit Lügenworten und stieß sie aus dem Innern hervor.
We have transgressed and we have denied Yahweh and we have turned back from after God our we have spoken oppression and rebellion we have conceived and we have uttered from [the] heart words of falsehood.
14 Zurückgedrängt wird das Recht, und die Gerechtigkeit steht von ferne. Denn es strauchelte auf der Straße die Wahrhaftigkeit, und die Geradheit vermag nicht Eingang zu finden.
And it has been driven back backwards justice and righteousness from a distance it stands for it has stumbled in the open place truth and honesty not it is able to enter.
15 Und so kam es, daß sich die Wahrheit vermissen läßt, und wer Böses meidet, muß sich ausplündern lassen. Als Jahwe das sah, da mißfiel es ihm, daß es kein Recht mehr gab.
And it was truth lacking and [one who] turned aside from evil [was] plundered and he saw Yahweh and it was displeasing in eyes his that there not [was] justice.
16 Und er sah, daß niemand da war, und erstaunte, daß keiner da war, der ins Mittel treten konnte: da half ihm sein Arm, und seine Gerechtigkeit, die unterstützte ihn.
And he saw that there not [was] anyone and he was appalled that there not [was one who] interposed and it gave victory to him own arm his and own righteousness his it it sustained him.
17 Und er legte Gerechtigkeit an wie einen Panzer und setzte den Helm des Heils auf sein Haupt; er legte Rachekleider an als Gewandung und hüllte sich in Eifer wie in einen Mantel.
And he put on righteousness like body armor and a helmet of salvation on head his and he put on garments of vengeance clothing and he wrapped himself like robe zeal.
18 Entsprechend dem, was man verübt hat, zahlt er heim: Grimm seinen Widersachern, Vergeltung seinen Feinden; den Inseln zahlt er Verübtes heim.
As on deeds as on he will repay rage to opponents his recompense to enemies his to the islands recompense he will repay.
19 Und man wird den Namen Jahwes fürchten in den Ländern des Sonnenuntergangs und in denen des Sonnenaufgangs seine Herrlichkeit. Denn er bricht herein wie ein eingeengter Strom, gegen den der Hauch Jahwes anstürmt.
And they may fear from [the] setting place [the] name of Yahweh and from [the] rising of [the] sun glory his for he will come like river narrow [which] [the] wind of Yahweh it will drive it.
20 Und er wird für Zion als Erlöser kommen und für die, die sich in Jakob von ihrer Abtrünnigkeit bekehren, ist der Spruch Jahwes.
And he will come to Zion a redeemer and to [those who] repent of transgression in Jacob [the] utterance of Yahweh.
21 Und meinerseits ist dies mein Bund mit ihnen, spricht Jahwe: Mein Geist, der auf dir ruht, und meine Worte, die ich dir in den Mund gelegt habe, die sollen nicht aus deinem Munde weichen, noch aus dem Munde deiner Nachkommen, noch aus dem Munde der Nachkommen deiner Nachkommen, spricht Jahwe, von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
And I this [is] covenant my with them he says Yahweh spirit my which [is] on you and words my which I have put in mouth your not they will depart from mouth your and from [the] mouth of offspring your and from [the] mouth of [the] offspring of offspring your he says Yahweh from now and until perpetuity.
