Jesaja 56
1 So spricht Jahwe: Wahret das Recht und übt Gerechtigkeit! Denn mein Heil ist nahe daran, herbeizukommen, und meine Gerechtigkeit, sich zu offenbaren.
Thus saith Jehovah: Keep ye judgment and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Heil dem Menschen, der dies thut, und dem Menschenkinde, das daran festhält: der den Sabbat vor Entweihung bewahrt und der seine Hand wahrt, irgend etwas Böses zu thun!
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth fast to it; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Der Fremdling aber, der sich an Jahwe angeschlossen hat, wähne nicht: Sicherlich wird mich Jahwe aus seinem Volk ausscheiden! und der Verschnittene sage nicht: Fürwahr, ich bin ein dürrer Baum!
And let not the son of the alien, that hath joined himself to Jehovah, speak saying, Jehovah hath entirely separated me from his people; neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree;
4 Vielmehr so spricht Jahwe: Den Verschnittenen, die meine Sabbate halten und nach dem trachten, woran ich Gefallen habe, und an meinem Bunde festhalten,
for thus saith Jehovah: Unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast to my covenant,
5 denen will ich in meinem Tempel und in meinen Mauern ein Denkmal und einen Namen verleihen, die besser sind als Söhne und Töchter: einen ewigen Namen will ich einem jeden solchen verleihen, der nicht ausgetilgt werden soll!
even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Und was die Fremdlinge betrifft, die sich an Jahwe anschließen, um ihm zu dienen und den Namen Jahwes zu lieben, um seine Knechte zu werden: alle, die den Sabbat vor Entweihung bewahren und an meinem Bunde festhalten,
Also the sons of the alien, that join themselves to Jehovah, to minister unto him and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and holdeth fast to my covenant;
7 die will ich heimbringen zu meinem heiligen Berge und sie erfreuen in meinem Bethause: ihre Brandopfer und ihre Schlachtofper sollen mir wohlgefällig sein auf meinem Altare. Denn mein Haus wird ein Bethaus für alle Völker heißen,
even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar: for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.
8 ist der Spruch des Herrn, Jahwes, der die Versprengten Israels sammelt. Auch weiterhin werde ich noch andere zu ihm hinzusammeln!
The Lord Jehovah, who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, saith: Yet will I gather [others] to him, with those of his that are gathered.
9 Versammelt euch, alle Tiere des Feldes, kommt herbei, um zu fressen, alle Tiere im Walde!
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, all ye beasts in the forest.
10 Seine Späher sind blind, insgesamt ohne Einsicht: insgesamt stumme Hunde, die nicht bellen können; träumend liegen sie da, schlafsüchtig.
His watchmen are all of them blind, they are without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs that cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber:
11 Und diese Hunde sind heißhungrig, kennen keine Sättigung, - und sie selbst, die Hirten, wissen nicht aufzumerken. Sie alle haben sich ihres Wegs gewandt, ein jeder seinem Vorteile zu, einer wie der andere:
and the dogs are greedy, they know not to be satisfied, and these are shepherds that know not how to discern: they all turn to their own way, every one for his gain, even to the last of them:
12 “Kommt herbei, ich will Wein holen, und laßt uns Rauschtrank zechen! Und wie der heutige soll auch der morgende Tag sein: ganz besonders hoch soll es da wieder hergehen!”
Come, [say they, ] I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to-morrow shall be as this day, [and] much more abundant.
