Jesaja 24
1 Fürwahr, Jahwe wird die Erde leer machen und kahl, ihr Antlitz entstellen und ihre Bewohner zerstreuen.
Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
2 Dem Priester wird es ergehen wie dem Volke, dem Herrn wie seinem Knechte, der Herrin wie ihrer Magd, dem Verkäufer wie dem Käufer, dem Leiher wie dem Verleiher, dem Schuldner wie dem Gläubiger.
And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
3 Völlig entleert wird die Erde und völlig geplündert! Ja, Jahwe hat dieses Wort geredet!
Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
4 Die Erde wird trauern, verwelken; der Erdkreis wird verschmachten, verwelken, des Erdenvolkes Hohe werden verschmachten!
It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
5 Denn entweiht ist die Erde, soweit sie Bewohner trägt; denn sie haben die Gebote übertreten, das Gesetz überschritten, die ewige Ordnung gebrochen.
And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
6 Deshalb frißt ein Fluch die Erde, und büßen ihre Bewohner; deshalb sind die Bewohner der Erde ausgedörrt und von den Sterblichen nur wenige übrig.
There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
7 Es trauert der Most, der Weinstock verschmachtet, es seufzen alle, die freudiges Herzens waren.
It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
8 Still ward der lustige Paukenschlag, zu Ende ist der Lärm der Fröhlichen, still ward die lustige Weise der Zither.
It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
9 Man trinkt nicht mehr Wein bei Gesang, der Rauschtrank schmeckt bitter den Zechern.
With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
10 Zertrümmert ist die nichtige Stadt, jedes Haus dem Eintritt verschlossen.
It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
11 Man jammert um den Wein auf den Gassen, vergangen ist alle Freude, hinweggezogen aller Frohsinn auf Erden.
An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
12 Nur die Öde bleibt in der Stadt zurück, in Stücke wird das Thor zerschlagen.
It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
13 Denn so ergeht es auf der Erde, unter den Völkern, wie beim Abklopfen der Oliven, wie bei der Nachlese, wenn die Weinernte vorüber ist.
For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
14 Jene erheben lauten Jubelruf, über die Hoheit Jahwes jauchzen sie im Westen:
They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
15 Darum gebt, ihr Bewohner des Ostens, Jahwe die Ehre, - ihr Bewohner der Meeresküsten, dem Namen Jahwes, des Gottes Israels!
There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
16 Vom Saume der Erde her vernahmen wir Lobgesänge: Herrlichkeit für die Frommen! Aber ich sprach: Die Seuche befällt mich! Die Seuche befällt mich! Wehe mir! Die Treulosen handeln treulos, ja schändlich treulos handeln sie!
From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
17 Grauen und Grube und Garn kommen über dich, Bewohner der Erde.
Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Wer zufolge des Gerüchts vom Grauen flieht, fällt in die Grube, und wer aus der Grube emporkommt, fängt sich im Garn. Denn die Gitter in der Himmelshöhe öffnen sich, und die Grundfesten der Erde erzittern.
And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
19 Es zerbricht und zerkracht die Erde, es reißt und zerspringt die Erde, es wankt und schwankt die Erde.
Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
20 Die Erde taumelt hin und her wie ein Trunkener und schwankt wie eine Nachthütte. Zu schwer wird ihr die Last ihres Abfalls: sie fällt, um sich nie mehr zu erheben.
Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
21 Und an jenem Tage wird Jahwe mit Strafen heimsuchen das Heer der Höhe in der Höhe und die Könige der Erde auf der Erde;
And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
22 wie man Gefangene einsperrt, werden sie in eine Grube gesperrt und unter Verschluß gethan und erst nach langer Zeit in Gnaden heimgesucht werden.
And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
23 Und der Mond wird sich schämen und die Sonne zu Schanden werden. Denn Jahwe der Heerscharen wird die Königsherrschaft auf dem Berge Zion und zu Jerusalem antreten, und vor seinen Oberen wird Herrlichkeit erstrahlen.
And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
