Jesaja 18

1 Ha Land des Flügelgeschwirrs, jenseits der Ströme von Kusch,

Wo to the lond, the cymbal of wyngis, which is biyende the flood of Ethiopie; that sendith messangeris bi the see,

2 das auf dem Nil und in Papyruskähnen über die Wasserfläche Boten entsandte! Geht hin, ihr schnellen Boten, zu der hochgewachsenen und glatten Nation, zu dem weithinaus gefürchteten Volke, zu der riesenstarken und alles niedertretenden Nation, deren Land Ströme durchschneiden:

and in vessels of papirus on watris. Go, ye messangeris, to the folk drawun up and to-rent; to a ferdful puple, aftir which is noon other; to the folk abidynge and defoulid, whos lond the flodis han rauyschid; to the hil of the name of the Lord of oostis, to the hil of Sion.

3 Alle Bewohner des Erdkreises und die ihr auf Erden wohnt: wenn ein Panier auf den Bergen aufgepflanzt wird, so seht hin, und wenn man in die Posaune stößt, so horcht auf!

Alle ye dwelleris of the world, that dwellen in the lond, schulen se whanne a signe schal be reisid in the hillis, and ye schulen here the cry of a trumpe.

4 Denn so hat Jahwe zu mir gesprochen: Ich will ruhig bleiben und auf meinem Sitze zuschauen wie heitere Wärme bei Sonnenschein, wie Taugewölk in der Ernteglut.

For whi the Lord seith these thingis to me, Y schal reste, and Y schal biholde in my place, as the myddai liyt is cleer, and as a cloude of dew in the dai of heruest.

5 Denn vor der Lese, wenn die Blüte vorüber ist, und die Knospe zur reifenden Traube wird, wird er die Reben mit Winzermessern abschneiden, entfernt, zerknickt er die Ranken.

6 Insgesamt sollen sie den Raubvögeln der Berge und den Tieren des Landes preisgegeben werden, daß die Raubvögel den Sommer bei ihnen verbringen sollen, und alle Tiere des Landes den Winter.

and schulen be left togidere to the briddis of hillis, and to the beestis of erthe; and briddis schulen be on hym by a somer euerlastinge, and alle the beestis of erthe schulen dwelle bi wyntir on hym.

7 Zu jener Zeit werden Jahwe der Heerscharen Geschenke dargebracht werden von dem hochgewachsenen und glatten Volk und von dem weithinaus gefürchteten Volke, von der riesenstarken und alles niedertretenden Nation, deren Land Ströme durchschneiden - nach der Stätte des Namens Jahwes der Heerscharen, dem Berge Zion.

In that tyme a yifte schal be brouyt to the Lord of oostis, of the puple drawun up and to-rent; of the puple ferdful, aftir which was noon other; of the folk abidynge and defoulid, whos lond floodis rauyschiden; the yifte schal be brouyt to the place of the name of the Lord of oostis, to the hil of Sion.
