Hosea 10
1 Ein wuchernder Weinstock war Israel, dessen Früchte gediehen. Je zahlreicher seine Früchte wurden, desto mehr Altäre baute es; je schöner sein Land trug, desto schönere Malsteine fertigten sie an.
[was] a vine Luxuriant Israel fruit he made for himself when [it] became numerous to fruit his he multiplied the altars according to [the] good of land his they made good sacred pillars.
2 Unzuverlässig war ihr Sinn; darum sollen sie nun büßen. Er selbst wird ihre Altäre zerbrechen, ihre Malsteine zertrümmern.
It is slippery heart their now they will be held guilty he he will break altars their he will destroy sacred pillars their.
3 Ja, dann werden sie sprechen: Wir haben keinen König mehr, weil wir keine Furcht vor Jahwe gehabt haben; und was soll uns ein König leisten? -
For now they will say not a king [belongs] to us for not we fear Yahweh and the king what? will he do for us.
4 Abkommen treffen mit falschen Eiden, Verträge schließen, damit Rechte erwüchsen wie Giftpflanzen in den Furchen des Ackers!
They have spoken words they have sworn an oath falsehood they have made a covenant and it sprouts up like poisonous plant justice on [the] furrows of a field.
5 Um den Stier Bethavens werden sich die Bewohner Samarias sorgen; ja, seine Anhänger werden um ihn trauern, und seine Pfaffen für ihn zittern, - für den Ruhm Bethavens, daß er von ihm fortwandert.
For [the] heifers of Beth Aven they will be afraid [the] inhabitant[s] of Samaria for it will mourn on it people its and pagan priests its on it they will tremble on glory its for it has gone into exile from it.
6 Sogar ihn selbst wird man nach Assyrien schleppen als eine Gabe für den König von Jareb; Schmach wird Ephraim davon tragen, und das Vertrauen der Israeliten auf ihren Plan zu Schanden werden.
Also it to Assyria it will be carried tribute to king Jareb shame Ephraim it will seize and it may be ashamed Israel from own counsel its.
7 Samarien wird zu nichte; sein König gleicht einem Holzsplitter, der auf der Wasserfläche dahinschwimmt.
[will] be destroyed Samaria king its like a twig on [the] surface of [the] waters.
8 Verwüstet werden die Unheilshöhen, die Sünde der Israeliten, daß Dornen und Gestrüpp auf ihren Altären emporwuchern. Da werden sie dann zu den Bergen sprechen: Bedeckt uns! und zu den Hügeln: Fallt auf uns!
And they will be destroyed [the] high places of wickedness [the] sin of Israel thorn[s] and thistle[s] it will grow up over altars their and they will say to the mountains cover us and to the hills fall on us.
9 Seit den Tagen von Gibea hast du, Israel, gesündigt! Dort standen sie! Wird sie in Gibea der Krieg wider die Rotte der Frevler erreichen?
Since [the] days of Gibeah you have sinned O Israel there they have remained not will it overtake? them in Gibeah war on sons of injustice.
10 Nach meiner Lust will ich sie züchtigen; Völker sollen gegen sie versammelt werden, wenn sie für ihre zwei Verschuldungen Züchtigung empfangen.
At desire my and I will discipline them and they will be gathered on them peoples when harness them to [the] two (iniquities their. *QK)
11 Ephraim aber gleicht einem Rinde, das wohl angelernt ist, das gern drischt. Wohl habe ich seinen schönen Hals bisher verschont, nun aber will ich Ephraim ins Joch spannen; Juda soll pflügen, Jakob soll ackern müssen!
And Ephraim [was] a heifer trained [which] loved to thresh and I I passed over [the] goodness of neck its I will cause to draw Ephraim it will plow Judah it will harrow itself Jacob.
12 Wohlthaten laßt eure Aussaat sein, dann werdet ihr Güte ernten! Pflügt euch doch einen Neubruch, da es an der Zeit ist, Jahwe zu suchen, damit er endlich komme und euch Heil regnen lasse.
Sow yourselves righteousness reap a mouth of loyalty plow yourselves unplowed ground and [it is] time to seek Yahweh until he will come and he may rain down righteousness for you.
13 Da ihr aber Frevel eingepflügt hat, habt ihr Unheil geerntet, habt ihr die Früchte der Falschheit essen müssen! Hast du doch auf deine Streitwagen dein Vertrauen gesetzt, auf die Menge deiner Krieger!
You have plowed wickedness injustice you have reaped you have eaten [the] fruit of lying for you have trusted in own way your in [the] multitude of warriors your.
14 So soll sich denn Kriegsgetümmel wider deine Scharen erheben, und alle deine Festungen sollen zerstört werden, wie Salman Beth Arbel zur Kriegszeit zerstörte, als die Mütter samt den Kindern zerschmettert wurden.
And it will arise an uproar among people your and all fortresses your it will be devastated like [the] devastation of Shalman Beth Arbel on [the] day of battle mother with children she was dashed in pieces.
15 Gerade so wird er mit euch, ihr Israeliten, verfahren, weil ihr so durch und durch böse seid. In der Frühe wird der König von Israel dahingerafft!
Thus someone will do to you O Beth-el because of [the] evil of wickedness your at dawn certainly he will be destroyed [the] king of Israel.
