1 Mose 44
1 Hierauf gebot er seinem Hausmeister: Fülle den Männern ihre Säcke mit Getreide, soviel sie fortbringen können; lege aber einem jeden sein Geld obenauf in seinen Sack.
And he commanded [the one] who [was] over household his saying fill [the] sacks of the men food just as they are able! to carry and put [the] silver of each man in [the] mouth of sack his.
2 Und meinen silbernen Becher legst du obenauf in den Sack des Jüngsten samt dem Geld für sein Getreide. Da that jener so, wie Joseph befohlen hatte.
And cup my [the] cup of silver you will put in [the] mouth of [the] sack of the young [brother] and [the] silver of grain his and he did according to [the] word of Joseph which he had spoken.
3 Kaum war der Morgen angebrochen, ließ man die Männer samt ihren Eseln ziehen.
The morning it was light and the men they were sent off they and donkeys their.
4 Eben hatten sie die Stadt verlassen und waren noch nicht weit gekommen, da befahl Joseph seinem Hausmeister: Auf, jage den Männern nach, und wenn du sie eingeholt hast, so sprich zu ihnen: Warum habt ihr Gutes mit Bösem vergolten? Warum habt ihr meinen silbernen Becher gestohlen?
They they came out the city not they had gone far and Joseph he said to [the one] who [was] over household his arise pursue after the men and you will overtake them and you will say to them why? have you repaid evil for good.
5 Ist's doch derselbe, aus dem mein Gebieter zu trinken pflegt und aus dem er wahrsagt - daran habt ihr sehr übel gethan!
¿ Not [is] this [that] which he drinks master my in it and he indeed he practices divination by it you have done evil [that] which you have done.
6 Als er sie nun eingeholt hatte, redete er solchergestalt mit ihnen.
And he overtook them and he spoke to them the words these.
7 Sie erwiderten ihm: O Herr! warum sprichst du so? Es liegt deinen Sklaven durchaus fern, so etwas zu thun.
And they said to him why? does he speak master my according to the words these far be it to servants your from doing according to the manner this.
8 Haben wir dir doch das Geld, das wir oben in unseren Säcken fanden, aus Kanaan wieder mitgebracht: wie sollten wir da aus dem Hause deines Gebieters Silber und Gold stehlen?
Here! silver which we found in [the] mouth of sacks our we brought back to you from [the] land of Canaan and how? will we steal from [the] house of master your silver or gold.
9 Derjenige deiner Sklaven, bei dem er sich findet, der soll sterben, und wir anderen wollen dir leibeigen werden.
[anyone] whom It is found with him of servants your and he will die and also we we will be[long] to lord my to slaves.
10 Er antwortete: Gut! wie ihr sagt, soll es geschehen. Der, bei welchem er sich findet, soll mein Sklave werden; ihr aber sollt frei ausgehn.
And he said also now according to words your [will be] so it [anyone] whom it is found with him he will be of me slave and you you will be innocent.
11 Da ließ ein jeder schnell seinen Sack auf den Boden herab und ein jeder öffnete seinen Sack.
And they hurried and they brought down each man sack his [the] ground towards and they opened each man sack his.
12 Er aber fing an zu suchen: bei dem Ältesten hob er an und bei dem Jüngsten hörte er auf - da fand sich der Becher im Sacke Benjamins.
And he searched with the old [brother] he began and with the young [brother] he finished and it was found the cup in [the] sack of Benjamin.
13 Da zerrissen sie ihre Kleider, beluden ein jeder seinen Esel und kehrten wieder in die Stadt zurück.
And they tore clothes their and he loaded each man on donkey his and they went back the city towards.
14 Und als Juda mit seinen Brüdern in das Haus Josephs kam - dieser war gerade noch dort anwesend -, da warfen sie sich vor ihm nieder auf den Boden.
And he came Judah and brothers his [the] house of towards Joseph and he still he [was] there and they fell before him [the] ground towards.
15 Joseph aber sprach zu ihnen: Was habt ihr da angestellt! Bedachtet ihr denn nicht, daß ein Mann, wie ich, wahrsagen werde?
And he said to them Joseph what? [is] the deed this which you have done ¿ not do you know that indeed he practices divination a man who [is] like me.
16 Da antwortete Juda: Was sollen wir unserem Gebieter sagen? Was sollen wir reden und wie uns rechtfertigen, nachdem Gott die Schuld deiner Sklaven ausfindig gemacht hat! Wir gehören dir leibeigen, wir, sowie derjenige, in dessen Besitze sich der Becher gefunden hat.
And he said Judah what? will we say to lord my what? will we speak and what? will we justify ourselves God he has found [the] guilt of servants your here we [are] slaves of lord my both we as well as [the one] who it was found the cup in hand his.
17 Er erwiderte: Ferne sei es von mir, so zu verfahren! Derjenige, in dessen Besitze sich der Becher gefunden hat, der soll mir leibeigen werden; ihr aber mögt unangefochten zu eurem Vater ziehn.
And he said far be it to me from doing this the man whom it was found the cup in hand his he he will be of me slave and you go up to peace to father your.
18 Da trat Juda zu ihm heran und sprach: Bitte, mein Herr! Möchte doch dein Sklave ein freimütiges Wort an dich richten dürfen, ohne daß du darum deinem Sklaven zürnst - stehst du doch dem Pharao gleich!
And he drew near to him Judah and he said pardon me O lord my may he speak please servant your a word in [the] ears of lord my and may not it burn anger your on servant your for as you as Pharaoh.
19 Mein Gebieter fragte seine Sklaven: Habt ihr euren Vater noch oder noch einen Bruder?
Lord my he asked servants his saying ¿ [does] there [belong] to you a father or a brother.
20 Wir antworteten dir: Unser alter Vater lebt noch, und auch ein kleiner spätgeborener Sohn ist vorhanden. Sein leiblicher Bruder ist tot, und so ist er allein übrig von seiner Mutter und wurde der Liebling seines Vaters.
And we said to lord my there [belongs] to us a father old and a child of old age young and brother his he died and he was left he to only him to mother his and father his he loves him.
21 Da befahlst du deinen Sklaven: Bringt ihn her zu mir, damit ich ihn mit Augen sehe!
And you said to servants your bring down him to me so let me set eye my on him.
22 Wir erwiderten dir: Der Knabe kann seinen Vater nicht verlassen; denn würde er seinen Vater verlassen, so würde dieser sterben.
And we said to lord my not he will be able the young man to leave father his and he will leave father his and he will die.
23 Da sprachst du zu deinen Sklaven: Wenn ihr euren jüngsten Bruder nicht mitbringt, so dürft ihr mir nicht mehr unter die Augen kommen.
And you said to servants your if not he will come down brother your young with you not you will repeat! to see face my.
24 Als wir nun zu deinem Sklaven, meinem Vater, zurückgekehrt waren, berichteten wir ihm dein Begehren.
And it was that we went up to servant your father my and we told to him [the] words of lord my.
25 Als sodann unser Vater gebot: Zieht wieder hin, etwas Getreide für uns zu kaufen,
And he said father our go back buy for us a little of food.
26 da antworteten wir: Wir können unmöglich hinziehn! Wenn unser jüngster Bruder mit uns geht, so wollen wir hinziehn; denn wir dürfen ja dem Manne nicht mehr unter die Augen kommen, wenn unser jüngster Bruder nicht bei uns ist.
And we said not we are able to go down if there [is] brother our young with us and we will go down for not we will be able to see [the] face of the man and brother our young not he [is] with us.
27 Da antwortete uns dein Sklave, mein Vater: Ihr wißt ja selbst, daß mir mein Weib nur zwei Söhne geboren hat.
And he said servant your father my to us you you know that two [sons] she bore to me wife my.
28 Der eine ging fort von mir, und ich mußte mir sagen: Sicherlich ist er zerrissen worden! und bis heute habe ich ihn nicht wiedergesehen.
And he went out the one from with me and I said surely certainly he has been torn to pieces and not I have seen him until now.
29 Wenn ihr mir nun auch diesen noch wegnehmt, und ihm ein Unglück zustoßen sollte, so wäret ihr schuld daran, wenn ich mit meinem grauen Haar in schwerem Leid hinunter müßte in die Unterwelt! (Sheol h7585)
And you will take also this [one] from with presence my and it will happen to him harm and you will cause to go down gray hair my in calamity Sheol towards. (Sheol h7585)
30 Und in der That, wenn ich jetzt zu deinem Sklaven, meinem Vater, käme, und der Knabe, an dem er doch mit ganzer Seele hängt, wäre nicht bei uns,
And therefore when come I to servant your father my and the lad not [is] he with us and life his [is] bound up with life his.
31 so würde er, sobald er gewahr würde, daß der Knabe nicht mehr bei uns ist, sterben, und deine Sklaven wären schuld daran, wenn dein Sklave, unser Vater, mit seinem grauen Haar voller Jammer hinab müßte in die Unterwelt. (Sheol h7585)
And it will be when sees he that there not [is] the young man and he will die and they will bring down servants your [the] gray hair of servant your father our in sorrow Sheol towards. (Sheol h7585)
32 Denn dein Sklave hat sich gegenüber meinem Vater für den Knaben verbürgt und gelobt: Wenn ich dir ihn nicht wiederbringe, so will ich mein Leben lang schuldig dastehen vor meinem Vater.
For servant your he stood surety for the young man from with father my saying if not I will bring him to you and I will be culpable to father my all the days.
33 Möchte somit dein Sklave an Stelle des Knaben zurückbleiben dürfen als Leibeigener meines Gebieters, der Knabe aber heimkehren dürfen mit seinen Brüdern.
And therefore let him remain please servant your in place of the young man a slave of lord my and the lad let him go up with brothers his.
34 Denn wie könnte ich heimkehren zu meinem Vater, ohne daß der Knabe bei mir wäre! Ich könnte den Jammer nicht mit ansehen, der über meinen Vater kommen würde!
For how? will I go up to father my and the lad not [is] he with me lest I should look on the calamity which it will find father my.
