1 Mose 36
1 Dies sind die Nachkommen Esaus, das ist Edom.
Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.
2 Esau hatte sich Kanaaniterinnen zu Weibern genommen: Ada, die Tochter des Hethiters Elon, und Oholibama, die Tochter Anas, des Sohnes Zibeons, des Horiters;
Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,
3 und Basmath, die Tochter Ismaels, die Schwester Nebajoths.
And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada aber gebar Esau den Eliphas, Basmath gebar Reguel,
And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.
5 und Oholibama gebar Jehus, Jaelam und Korah. Das sind die Söhne Esaus, die ihm im Lande Kanaan geboren wurden.
Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.
6 Und Esau nahm seine Weiber, seine Söhne und Töchter und alle Sklaven, die zu seinem Hausstande gehörten, sowie seine Herde, all sein Vieh und alle seine Habe, die er im Lande Kanaan erworben hatte, und zog von seinem Bruder Jakob hinweg ins Land Seir.
So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.
7 Denn ihr Besitz war zu groß, als daß sie hätten bei einander bleiben können, und das Land, in welchem sie als Fremdlinge weilten, reichte für sie nicht aus wegen ihrer Herden.
For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
8 Und Esau nahm seinen Aufenthalt auf dem Gebirge Seir - Esau, das ist Edom.
Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
9 Dies sind die Nachkommen Esaus, des Stammvaters der Edomiter, auf dem Gebirge Seir.
So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.
10 Dies sind die Namen der Söhne Esaus: Eliphas, der Sohn Adas, des Weibes Esaus; Reguel, der Sohn Basmaths, des Weibes Esaus.
These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
11 Die Söhne des Eliphas aber waren: Theman, Omar, Zepho, Gaetham und Kenas.
And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Und Thimna war ein Kebsweib des Eliphas, des Sohnes Esaus; die gebar dem Eliphas den Amalek. Dies sind die Söhne Adas, des Weibes Esaus.
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.
13 Und dies sind die Söhne Reguels: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Missa. Dies waren die Söhne Basmaths, des Weibes Esaus.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
14 Und dies waren die Söhne Oholibamas, der Tochter Anas, des Sohnes Zibeons, des Weibes Esaus; die gebar dem Esau Jehus, Jaelam und Korah.
And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
15 Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Söhne Esaus. Die Söhne des Eliphas, des Erstgebornen Esaus, waren der Häuptling Theman, der Häuptling Omar, der Häuptling Zepho, der Häuptling Kenas.
These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,
16 Der Häuptling Korah, der Häuptling Gaetham, der Häuptling Amalek. Dies sind die Häuptlinge von Eliphas im Lande Edom. Dies sind die Söhne Adas.
Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.
17 Und dies waren die Söhne Reguels, des Sohnes Esaus: der Häuptling Nahath, der Häuptling Serah, der Häuptling Samma, der Häuptling Missa. Dies sind die Häuptlinge von Reguel im Lande Edom; dies sind die Söhne Basmaths, des Weibes Esaus.
And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.
18 Und dies sind die Söhne Oholibamas, des Weibes Esaus: der Häuptling Jehus, der Häuptling Jaelam, der Häuptling Korah. Dies sind die Häuptlinge von Oholibama, der Tochter Anas, dem Weibe Esaus.
Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.
19 Dies sind die Söhne Esaus und dies ihre Häuptlinge: das ist Edom.
These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.
20 Dies sind die Söhne Seirs, des Horiters, die Ureinwohner des Landes: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana,
These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.
21 Dison, Ezer und Disan. Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Horiter, die Söhne Seirs, im Lande Edom.
And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.
22 Die Söhne Lotans aber waren Hori und Heman; und die Schwester Lotans war Thimna.
And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.
23 Und dies sind die Söhne Sobals: Alwan, Manahath, Ebal, Sepho und Onam.
And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24 Und dies sind die Söhne Zibeons: Ajja und Ana; das ist derselbe Ana, der die heißen Quellen in der Steppe fand, als er die Esel seines Vaters Zibeon weidete.
And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.
25 Und dies sind die Söhne Anas: Dison; und Oholibama war die Tochter Anas.
And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
26 Und dies sind die Söhne Disons: Hemdan, Esban, Jithran und Keran.
Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27 Dies sind die Söhne Ezers: Bilhan, Sawan und Akan.
The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.
28 Dies sind die Söhne Disans: Uz und Aran.
The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.
29 Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Horiter: der Häuptling Lotan, der Häuptling Sobal, der Häuptling Zibeon, der Häuptling Ana.
These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,
30 Der Häuptling Dison, der Häuptling Ezer, der Häuptling Disan. Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Horiter nach ihren Häuptlingen im Lande Seir.
Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.
31 Und dies sind die Könige, welche im Lande Edom geherrscht haben, bevor es einen König der Israeliten gab.
And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.
32 Es war König über Edom Bela, der Sohn Beors, und seine Residenz hieß Dinhaba.
Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
33 Als Bela gestorben war, wurde Jobab, der Sohn Serahs, aus Bosra König an seiner Statt.
And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.
34 Als Jobab gestorben war, wurde Husam aus dem Lande der Themaniter König an seiner Statt.
When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.
35 Als Husam gestorben war, wurde Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, König an seiner Statt, derselbe, der die Midianiter auf der Ebene von Moab schlug; und seine Residenz hieß Awith.
And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
36 Als Hadad gestorben war, wurde Samla aus Masreka König an seiner Statt.
When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.
37 Als Samla gestorben war, wurde Saul aus Rehoboth am Euphratstrom König an seiner Statt.
When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.
38 Als Saul gestorben war, wurde Baal-hanan, der Sohn Achbors, König an seiner Statt.
When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.
39 Als Baal-hanan, der Sohn Achbors, gestorben war, wurde Hadar König an seiner Statt; seine Residenz aber hieß Pagu und sein Weib Mehetabeel, die Tochter Matreds, der Tochter Mesahabs.
And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40 Dieses sind die Namen der Häuptlinge Esaus nach ihren Geschlechtern, ihren Ortschaften, ihren Namen: der Häuptling Thimna, der Häuptling Alwa, der Häuptling Jetheth,
Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,
41 der Häuptling Oholibama, der Häuptling Ela, der Häuptling Pinon,
Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
42 der Häuptling Kenas, der Häuptling Theman, der Häuptling Mibzar,
Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
43 der Häuptling Magdiel, der Häuptling Iram. Dies sind die Häuptlinge von Edom nach ihren Wohnsitzen in dem Lande, das sie in Besitz genommen hatten, das ist von Esau, dem Stammvater Edoms.
Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
