2 Korinther 9
1 Ueber die Sache, die Hilfe für die Heiligen, brauche ich euch ja nicht weiter zu schreiben.
Concerning the ministry for the believers, it is not necessary for me to write to you.
2 Weiß ich doch, wie bereit ihr seid, und rühme mich für euch bei den Makedoniern, daß Achaia vom vorigen Jahre her bereit ist, und der Eifer, der von euch ausgeht, so viele angespornt hat.
I know about your desire, which I boasted about to the people of Macedonia. I told them that Achaia has been getting ready since last year. Your eagerness has motivated most of them to action.
3 Abgesendet aber habe ich die Brüder, damit nicht unser Rühmen über euch in diesem Punkte zu nichte werde, damit vielmehr eure Bereitschaft meine Worte bewähre.
Now I have sent the brothers so that our boasting about you may not be futile, and so that you would be ready, as I said you would be.
4 Damit nicht, wenn mit mir Makedonier kommen und euch unvorbereitet finden sollten, wir zu Schanden werden, um nicht zu sagen: ihr, an dieser Erwartung.
Otherwise, if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we would be ashamed—I say nothing about you—for being so confident in you.
5 So habe ich es für nötig gehalten, die Brüder aufzufordern, daß sie vorausgehen zu euch, und euren versprochenen Segen vorbereiten, daß er bereit sei wie ein Segen, und nicht nach Geiz aussehe.
So I thought it was necessary to urge the brothers to come to you and to make arrangements in advance for the gift you have promised. This is so that it might be ready as a blessing, and not as something extorted.
6 Wohl gemerkt! wer sparsam sät, wird auch sparsam ernten, und wer auf Segen sät, wird auch auf Segen ernten.
The point is this: The one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows for the purpose of a blessing will also reap a blessing.
7 Jeder, wie es ihm ums Herz ist; nicht mit Unlust oder Zwang, denn einen fröhlichen Geber liebt Gott.
Let each one give as he has planned in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 Gott aber hat die Macht, alle Gnade reichlich über euch zu ergießen, daß ihr allezeit in allem genug habet und übrig zu jedem guten Werk,
And God is able to make all grace overflow for you, so that, always, in all things, you may have all you need. This will be so that you may multiply every good deed.
9 wie geschrieben steht: er hat ausgeschüttet und den Armen gegeben, seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewig. (aiōn g165)
It is as it is written: “He has distributed his riches and given them to the poor. His righteousness lasts forever.” (aiōn g165)
10 Der aber den Samen dem Sämann darreicht und Brot zur Nahrung, der wird es auch mit eurer Saat thun und wird sie vermehren, und wird wachsen lassen die Früchte eurer Gerechtigkeit, -
He who supplies seed to the farmer who sows and bread for food, will also supply and multiply your seed for sowing. He will increase the harvest of your righteousness.
11 daß ihr reich ausgestattet seid mit allem zu jeder Mildthätigkeit, als welche durch unsere Vermittlung Gott Dank bringt
You will be enriched in every way so you can be generous. This will bring about thanksgiving to God through us.
12 (denn der Dienst dieser Leistung deckt nicht nur den Mangel der Heiligen, sondern er trägt auch reiche Zinsen bei Gott durch die vielen Dankgebete)
For carrying out this service not only meets the needs of the saints but is also overflowing into many acts of thanksgiving to God.
13 und durch die Probe dieses Dienstes Gott verherrlicht am Gehorsam eures Bekenntnisses zum Evangelium Christus und an dem milden Sinn des Mitteilens gegen sie und alle,
Because of your being tested and proved by this service, you will also glorify God by obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ. You will also glorify God by the generosity of your gift to them and to everyone.
14 wobei auch sie im Gebet das Verlangen nach euch aussprechen um der überfließenden Gnade Gottes willen, die sie an euch sehen.
They long for you, and they are praying for you. They do this because of the very great grace of God that is on you.
15 Dank sei Gott für sein nicht auszuredendes Geben.
May thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
